Cannot install because installer is incomplete

I have been trying to install Flash on my MacBook Pro running 10.9.4. I followed the troubleshooting on the Adobe website and discovered that the installer downloaded directly from Adobe does not contain the Adobe Flash.pkg file required in the Resources folder. This is obviously a problem on Adobe's end. How can I get an installer that is complete and works?

For other users' information, I was using the following link:

It was downloading the following file:
AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_14_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg
These wouldn't work.

you probably have an incomplete/corrupt download.
to confirm check the file size against the expected file size.
then re-download perhaps with a different browser.

Cannot install Story: Installer misconfigured.

I cannot update story. I also don't have an uninstaller for ther app. I also could not install it by downloading it again, since I received the error message:
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance.

a) You will have to first uninstall the installed version of Story.
     If you are using a Windows machine, then you can uninstall it from Control Panel.
     If you are using a Mac then
     - go to the 'Applications' folder,
     - move the 'Adobe Story' app to Trash.
     - and also delete the application from Trash.
b) Then download the latest installer from this location: https://story.adobe.com/AIR/AdobeStory.air
c) Double click on the downloaded file to install it.

Help cannot install anything, installer keeps crashing.

I have a G4 12inch powerbook 1.5 running the latest Tiger operating system. I cannot install anything that uses pkg, such as Safari beta or iWork 08 trial. I double click the pkg icon and nothing happens. When I go check console this is what I see.

Try these in order. Stop if one of them allows .pkg files to install:
- Run Disk Utility to check for errors. (Do not repair permissions when booted to the install disk.)
- Try dragging and dropping the .pkg file on to the actual Installer. You can find it in /Applications/Utilities.
- Insert your Tiger install disk into your computer. Open a Finder window showing the contents. On the install disk go into the Applications folder, then into the Utilities folder. Drag the Installer icon from the install disk into the /Applications/Utilities folder on your hard drive, telling it to replace the version there.
- Archive and Install, preserving Network and User settings

Used Migration Assistant, couldn't open CC programs, uninstalled, now cannot install because CC won't let me login.

It doesn't seem to be an issue with the account I'm using, no special characters in his profile. The account I'm logged into does not have any special characters either.
Now I have a Mac that I cannot install any Adobe CC program on. The CC window is blank, I've uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I've seen other mentions of this with no answer. Everyone says delete files and check profile for special characters. Please help.

OIM91 Weblogic Install: Cannot Install because already installed

I am attempting to install OIM 9.1 with Java 142_15 for Weblogic 8.1 SP6 server.
When I get to the server input information, after I press next, it gives the following error:
"Oracle identity Manager Installer has found that Oracle Identity Manager is already installed on specified BEA Weblogic."
Here is what our env looks like:
We have 1 instance of OIM on JBoss (we have since removed)
We are installing into a brand new DB.
We have never installed OIM on Weblogic before
The Weblogic server being installed on is brand new
Any help would be appreciated.

SSDT BI 2012 11.0.3402.0 cannot install because of WOW64 issue

Dear all,
I downloaded the new Version of SSDT BI, which installed fine on my Windows 8.1 x64-machine and contains great bugfixes.
Now I have tried also to upgrade the installed Version of SSDT BI on a development Server. This Server is a Hyper-V VM running Windows Server 2012 R2.
When opening the Setup I get this error:
Rule "Edition WOW64 platform" failed.
SQL Server Setup is not supported in WOW64. This Setup program can be run only on a 32-bit-system.
Since I installed it successfully on my Laptop, which is running 64bit, too, this cannot be true.
But what can I do to proceed with Installation?
The Setup even did not ask me to install new Features or Add a new Installation, it is a preinstallation rule check.

You are right, it supports both 32-bit and 64-bit. As the description, I know there is a previous installed version of SSDT BI on the development server.
You may uninstall the previous version one prior to installing 2012.

Cannot install because of previous version?

I just purchased the book, Labview 8 student edition, for a class I'm enrolled in this semester and I am unable to install the software included.
The installer starts and then quicky stops indicating that: "You have a different language edition of LabVIEW 8.2 already installed. You must uninstall that edition before you can install the english edition.
Click ok and installation exists.
I searched add/remove programs, the program file directory and did a full search as well. There are no other versions or installations. I've never installed this product before. I've spent hours trying to figure out this error.
I've ensured no other programs where open while it was installing. I did a system and registry clean-up as well. Nothing has worked. Please advise.

Hi Gnaw,
This error may be caused by restrictions placed on your system by spyware blocking software or your antivirus. Turn off your antivirus and any spyware blocking software and try the installation again.
Also, you can try to copy the entire contents of the CD to a folder on the hard disk and then run the installer.
While copying over the contents of the CD, make sure that you select the option Show Hidden Folders so that you are able to copy all the folders on the CD.
Let me know what happens.

I cannot install Firefox: installation tells me that I have no administartor rights, but I do.

Although in Vista I am registered as administrator, the firefox installation pop-up tells me that my username and password are not correct?

the last version of Mac OS X which supported running PowerPC apps on Intel Macs was Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). If you’d like to play this PowerPC game on your Intel MacBook Pro, then you’ll need to install Snow Leopard on it and boot into Snow Leopard. (Note that the last MacBook Pro which natively supported Snow Leopard was the Early 2011 model.)
The game was almost certainly published before Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) was released, so back then, all versions of “Mac OS X 10.3 or higher” would have supported running that PowerPC game.

Cannot install itunes-installation package could not be opened

Hello,
I get this message after downloading the software to run the install for itunes.
This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and tat you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package.
Please help so I can get iTunes onto my computer.

It sounds like you are installing an upgrade version of CS6 and it is asking you to provide the information for the older qualifying version that you are upgrading from. After you enter the CS6 serial number you select the older version from the list and then enter the serial number for the older version to prove that you qualify to use CS6. See the following...

Uninstalled Firefox 6 because it was crashing every few minutes, now cannot install because no administrator privileges. never had this problem before, how am going to install anything?

lasst couple of days Firefox would crash for unknown reasons. this problem did not occur until I instatlled firefox 6. Last night it crashed several times over a 15 minute time span. I uninstalled firefox and then tried to reinstall. pop up window required I have administration privileges in order to install. Never required this before. I have windows 7 and have no desire to have to completely reinstall software becasue firefox 6 was so unstable.

I read a way on another forum to fix this problem. Right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as administrator" this should solve your problem.

Installer built with Application Builder gives error "Cannot install, higher version already installed"

I am having an issue with an installer which I created with the Application Builder. I have a project that I have successfully deployed. Subsequently I created another project (and vi) which is based on a copy of the originals, both with new file names. In the renamed project file, I changed all file names, paths, and all resources, to reflect the new names. I also changed the installer’s destination and install folders, of course. I reset the executable’s version number (in the Build Specification properties) to 1.0 (the original was 1.3). I then successfully built an executable and the application installer. However, when I run the installer (setup.exe), it gives a dialog (after the license screen) that it “Cannot install” because a “higher version already installed”.
I’ve done exactly the same thing with other vi’s and projects of mine, and never had this issue. The installer correctly installs the newly created (and renamed) version where it is told to in the project file. Also, I’ve never had a problem deploying (installing) on my development PC either.
I have carefully checked and rechecked to make sure there is no reference to the original executable or paths. What could be causing this behavior? I want to keep the two projects completely separate, so simply changing the version to higher than 1.3 is not an acceptable solution.

Yes, LV 8.5 does NOT give me control over the GUID. In the project file there are three such strings:
"App_applicationGUID"
"App_INI_aliasGUID"
"App_INI_GUID"
They all have different numbers and none of them match the GUID or PackageGUID in setup.ini. I don't know if they are related or not, but usually it's not a good idea to mess with (manually edit) files like these (project, ini, etc.) unless you know what you are doing. (For example, I do edit the setup.ini file to change some of the [Dialogs] parameters, but that is based on direction from NI support.)
Anyway, like I said, I've made copies of projects before and never ran into this problem. At least I have a solution, however laborious, in creating a new project file from scratch.
Let me know if anyone has more thoughts on this.
