Cannot install BIOS update for my Qosmio F750

Hi,
I've downloaded the bios update QF750B200_EC120_WIN.exe for my F750 and when I attempted to run the update, it fails & I received the message:
"The AC adapter is not connected, or battery power is not enough.
Please connect the AC adapter, and charge the battery."
However the AC adapter is connected & the battery is also fully charged. Does anyone have any ideas for making this work?

I've solved it but thought I'd put the solution here in case anyone else had a similar problem. Basically I had to:
1 - Uninstall "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" using Device Manager
2 - In Device Manger, go to Action>Scan For Hardware Changes
3 - Close Lid & Remove Battery
4 - Reboot without battery
5 - Insert battery
That seemed to sort it out so it was probably a problem witth the ACPI-Compiant Control Method Battery Driver or something like that. I think I'd disabled it & re-enabled it a while back so something probably went awry then.

Greetings. I re-installed CS5 when I changed the hard drive of my PC. Now I cannot install the updates although in my old setup, I had no problem and was able to update to CS5.5.
Should I download and install CS5.5 manually on top of CS5?
Or should I remove CS5?
Will my CS5 licence work for CS5.5?

Each time I turned on the computer I would get the message that several updates to Photoshop were available but could never download them or install them. Following your March 17th instructions did not do the trick. However after some trials and errors, I managed to get the updates to cs5 installed (unfortunately, I don't know how I managed!). I still cannot get cs5.5 but it's OK.
Someone from Adobe called me and suggested that I upgrade to cs6 at a special price but I declined the offer, thinking that at some point in the future, I may move to CC.

Cannot download BIOS Update for Tecra M5

I'm trying to download the latet BIOS update for the Tecra M5.
When I click on the download link, I get redirected to another server.
My login does not appear to work for this server - is there another location I can download the file from?

Cannot Install CC Update For August

I cannot install CC destop update for August.
It says there is an issue: it says another version of creative cloud is running on my desktop. Quit it and retry.
Do I uninstall the present creative cloud and reinstall?
It won't update.

This happens when there is a service of creative cloud running in background and generally when you restart your machine and run the update it works.
Please restart your machine and run the update and it will work.

I cannot install the updates for my registered CS5 Photoshop (CS5 Design Premium).

I keep getting an error when I try to install the updates from the drop down "Help" menu under updates. It goes through the process like it is trying to install them but at the end says "there was an error installing the following updates". The updates look to be like all of the updates and this is causing me major issues (the largest being I cannot open raw files from a Canon 5D Mark III). Can someone please assist with why the updates will not install?

How to install Bios Update for T43p?

I downloaded some drivers of T43p from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-58597.html#bios
Firstly, I installed "ThinkPad BIOS Update Utility"
On http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-59096, I click on "Detect BIOS on the system you are currently using" and received the message
Machine type/model: 2669-A67 Your BIOS version: 1YET47WW (1.08 ) You have the latest available BIOS installed on the system you are currently using.
When I run 1yuj18us.exe and followed the instructions on the screen, Windows shut down automatically but ThinkPad BIOS Update Utility screen did not appear as the instruction. I entered the BIOS Setup Utility to check the Bios version. Nothing changed. What's wrong?
Now, myBios version is 1.08. Must I update in steps (from 1.08 to 1.21, and from 1.21 to 1.22,...from 1.28 to 1.29 )? or I can update from 1.08 to 1.29 directly?

I have updated to the latest OIS on my IPad but cannot install the update for ITunes. I get error messages that I must log on as administrator (don't know how) and I can't use my ITunes now. Help please

I have updated to the lastest OS on my IPad3. No problem there. Then found I could no longer access my Itunes as there was a message 'Cannot be used as it requires version 10.6.3 or later. Go to ... and download'. I have tried four times and it won't work. I get another message saying I must sign in as administrator or contact my system administrator. I am the only one who uses this PC and have no idea what my administrator password is. Now I cannot use ITunes. Please help if you can. Thank you. Eileen Frost

Many thanks diesel. I cannot remember ever having an administrator password. Looks like I shall have to do a restore on my PC and not bother with the updates. Or maybe I could find my password from somewhere ? When I went into control panel I found a box with administrator and my name and it said password protected so I must have had one at some time. Any ideas on how I could find it ? Many thanks anyway. I always use a password to sign on but obviously that is not it. Eileen

The Windows BIOS upgrade isn't OS specific, it runs on all OS's between XP-Win8.1, even if it doesn't list 8.1 specifically.
You can either update it manually, using the update here:
BIOS Update Utility for ThinkPad T410, T410i
Or make a bootable CD/USB with the ISO file here:
BIOS Update Bootable CD for ThinkPad T410, T410i
Either way works like a charm on a Windows 8.1 machine, but be aware of the risks involved in updating your BIOS.

More information would be useful, for example which Mac OS are you running.
On the left menu item  About this Mac provides useful information.
Also did you use Software Update to determine the update?
Using Software Update can ensure you download and install the correct package for your particular Mac and OS version.

Need help finding a BIOS flash tool and BIOS updates for HP Compaq nc8230 running Windows 7

I put together this laptop. It didnt come with a hardrive, and basically I installed everything from the ground up.
It is an HP Compaq nc8230, IDE Hard drive, Windows 7 32 bit. The BIOS on it is the original one. I've searched far and wide, but to no avail, it seems there's zero support for this model anymore.
Basically it was never intended to go beyond Vista, back in 2004 when this model was introduced.
The reason I am searching for some kind of BIOS update, whether it is BIOS or SMBios is to get the ACPI driver to recognize the primary laptop battery. This is crucial: it only sees both as the travel battery. Other than that, all else is fine.

You cannot use the windows based flash because you installed windows 7, so I provided the link to the DOS based flash.
You need to use a USB floppy drive for this update.
Oh, and the card reader won't work unless you install this updated driver which is not on your PC's support and driver page.

After IOS 8 update, cannot install or update app

As my subject mentioned, after the ios 8 update, i cannot install or update app. I have done everything like calling the tech support, follow their instructions etc.. Some of the things i had done were
Soft reset ipad
Hard reset ipad
logout of itune store and login
delete everything on ipad and restore from itunes.
All these doesn't work and the problem keeps coming back again. This is frustrating that Apple would release an update like this that would break my ipad air. On top of that, quite a lot of app are not working eg zinio, evernote. My ipad air has been in this mode eversince the update release and i had mostly given up to resolve it. For all other ipad owners, if you want to avoid this anguish don't update to ios 8.

Version 2.0.4 is iWeb 08 and direct publishing via ftp is not available in iWeb 08 and never has been. You have the option of publishing to MobileMe, but you can publish via ftp, but you need to select the option publish to a local folder instead and then upload using Cyberduck, which is a free and dedicated ftp client.
If you want the inbuilt ftp function, then you will need to upgrade your iLife package to either iLife 09 which contains iWeb 09 or iLife 11, which also contains iWeb 09. For this, you need to purchase both of these packages. Either go to Amazon and try and get a copy of iLife 09 more cheaply or purchase iLife 11 directly from the Apple store.
This is what you will need to do and iWeb 08, which is the version you have, never has had built in ftp so that option will never be available to you unless you upgrade which you will have to pay for. Upgraded and updates are different things. Updates are just your normal run of the mill software updates and address bug fixes etc., whereas you will need to pay for full upgrades to other packages such as from iLife 08 to iLife 09 or 11.

Bug in latest 2 bios updates for FM2-A55M-E33

Hey guys,
Today I tried to update my bios of my FM2-A55M-E33 to the latest version(7721vA4.zip). Once everything completed succesfully, the bios wouldn't boot anymore.
I plugged out my 3TB hdd and it worked fine. I installed an earlier version of the bios(7721vA0.zip) and this did work with my 3TB hdd.
So in short:
The latest bios updates for FM2-A55M-E33 will freeze(black screen) at bios start when a 2TB+ hdd drive is plugged in.
Namely:
FM2-A55M-E33 (MS-7) V10.3 BIOS Release
FM2-A55M-E33 (MS-7) V10.4 BIOS Release
I hope you can fix this asap, especially since these are the latest updates.
