Cannot install Bootcamp Drivers from imac disk #1?

Installed 10.5 on new imac 2.4 GHZ with no problems. Updated to 10.5.1. Started Boot Camp install. When directed Installed Vista Ultimate with no problem. When directed Inserted imac disk #1 to install Drivers - showed zero(0) on disk. Inserted another CD and it loaded as normal. Re-inserted imac disk 1, still 0 on disk. Disk shows up on drive. Click on disk to open - 0 on disk. Set auto run - 0 on disk. No warning notices from Vista. Vista boots normal. 10.5 boots normal. Reinserted disk in Vista - no drivers - 0 on disk. Inserted disk #1 with 10.5 running - disk has normal install applications for imac(10.4). While in Mac OS did a search on disk # 1 for "setup.exe" - nothing found. Has anyone come across anything like this??

you can use your 10.6.x DVD for your Mac Pro.

  • How to install bootcamp drivers without installation disk?

iam using my friends macbook (intel core2Duo 1.83 GHZ, 80GB, 1GB DDRII, 12"", white colour)Mac OS X 10.5.7 installed, and i hav'nt installtion disk, and i want to install windows on it, but how will i be able to install bootcamp drivers as i have'nt installtion disc.

Look as a part of right click-2fingers at a same time you should press on the touchpad.
and check your macbook, the slot where you put the speakers wire if the drivers are not install then a red light will come from it and if not then it means that the drivers are all install.
and try to install the drivers from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#bootcamp
    Hope your problem get resolved.

  • Cannot Download Bootcamp drivers on iMac, will MacBook Pro work?

I have to install Win 7 x32 and x64 on iMacs with bad  (almost ZERO) internet access. I tried downloading the Windows Support files for Bootcamp drivers, but it wouldn't download. I have a MacBook Pro and a MacPro (2007) i can use (both running Lion) is there a direct download maybe? None of the BootCamp Updates I have found have worked.
    Thanks so much,
    Scott

  • Cannot install Raid Drivers from USB stick on Tecra S series

I tried to install RAID Toshiba drivers (F6 stuff u know) using a USB pendrive and BIOS USB FDD emulation, though detected XP installation told me file sytem was unknown.
    Any help?

    Hi
I agree with Jeffrey. The RAID driver installation in XP OS can be done only from the connected USB FDD!!!
The Microsoft Vista OS supports both; USB memory stick and the USB FDD drive.
As you already said you have to press the F6 during the XP setup installation to include the RAID driver from the diskette.
The RAID driver installation works a little bit different under Vista.
The vista supports a button driver installation (or something like that dont know the exactly name).
Then you should choose the right path to the RAID driver.
    Thats all
    Check it out!

  • How to install bootcamp drivers on Windows 8?

    Hello,
Today I decided to install Windows 8 onto my Mac Pro running 10.8.5 in order to play games on Steam.  I started BootCamp assistant and made a 65GB partition for Windows 8, and when I tried to install Windows I unchecked the top box (not sure what it said now).  Now I have a Windows computer, I CANNOT get back to OS X.  The Mac Pro will not boot into OS X, it just goes straight to Windows every time.  I've read that there should be some place in Windows to switch back, but I cannot find it.  I tried holding down the option key upon boot up at the gray screen, it still goes straight to Windows.  I tried holding command R at the boot up screen, it goes straight to Windows.  HELP!!  I picked the 60.5GB partition to install on, could it have somehow erased my OS X partition?  Is there a way to install bootcamp drivers from Windows?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jared

[Enable Bluetooth functionality after a clean installation of Windows 8|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2C03FI0001R04.htm]
If a clean installation of Windows 8 has been performed, Bluetooth is not present and does not work on your notebook. It is necessary to install two driver components manually to activate the Bluetooth functionality.
    - Toshiba System Driver
    - If your notebook is equipped with an Atheros or Realtek WLAN card with Bluetooth, you have to download the Atheros or Realtek Bluetooth Filter Driver
    - If your notebook is equipped with an INTEL WLAN card with Bluetooth, you don't need to download any filter driver

  • Unable to access the internet on windows xp using bootcamp. I installed the bootcamp drivers ( from snow leopard) but it still doesn't work. I have parallels 6 also installed and IT works fine. I am missing a rtl network adapter-thanksr

    Hi
I have a new 21 inch imac oct 2011 version. I installed bootcamp and windows xp on my machine and i also installed parallels 6.
Paralleles works great and i can open any program with it. But bootcamp also works EXCEPT it refuses to give me access to the internet. I installed the bootcamp drivers from my snow leopard disk, it did not make a difference. All the drivers installed but still no internet. I then installed the bootcamp drivers from the gray mac osx disk (#1) but it stopped installing with an error number ( 2753) and it said that the package was damaged.
I have tried everything; i opened each disk and trieed installing the files separately. Nothing.
What i see missing in my devices screen in XP is the network adapter.
I have a router (dlink-dr615) and it is connected by ethernet to my imac. I wonder if THIS might have anything to do with the problem. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
    Thank you

I'd recommend reposting in the Boot Camp forum, that is where the Boot Camp and Windows gurus hang out.
    Good luck.

Tell us more about the disk and partition onto which you are trying to install Mountain Lion:
Open Disk Utility (in Applications > Utilities). The left column should show your disk with its partition(s) indented below it:
How is the disk (top level container) formatted according to Disk Utility:
    * What Partiton Map Scheme? (Should be "GUID Partition Table".)
    * How many partitions? (Should be 1 unless you have a Boot Camp partition.)
How is the partition (lower level container) formatted according to Disk Utility? (Should be "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)".)

  • "You Cannot Install OS X on This Disk. OS X cannot start up from this disk".

Hey, I am running Lion on a Macbook Air 2010 model and i recently bought Mountain Lion through the MAC App Store. ive had problems installing it as i cant install it onto my Macintosh HD (startup Disk). Ive opened the ML installer and its rebooted my mac into the installer Menu, but when it goes to install, it stops and says You Cannot Install OS X on This Disk. OS X cannot start up from this disk." i want to be able to install ML overwriting Lion on my MacintoshHD (startup drive), are there any solutions that can fix this problem?

    Glad to hear it!
I ran into another problem: The USB cable I was using for my external backup disk was not reliable.  I kept getting "disk ejects" at various points during migration.
I bought a new "2.0 certified" cable and it worked fine.  The first two attempts resulted in re-installs.
I'm happy to report that after the 3rd re-install of ML everything appears to be OK.
I disabled TM and keeping my last b/u offline for a few more days to be safe....

  • I can't install, repair, or remove BootCamp drivers from my Windows installation

I have Windows XP SP3 installed on my Macbook Pro. When I installed Windows originally it failed to completely install BootCamp drivers, so I don't have advanced trackpad and keyboard features. I've downloaded the latest BootCamp drivers v3.2 that still run XP, but I always get a message saying that "the installer has encountered an unexpected error installin this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2753." I don't have anything in C:/Program Files/Bootcamp (It doesn't exist), and the Bootcamp icon in Control Panel doesn't work.
I can't install, remove, or repair the drivers, not even using the software that came with my Mac OS X install DVD. On the Mac side, I'm running Snow Leopard. I've searched Google for help and couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any ideas? I've already gone through the registry and removed a bunch of Apple-related stuff, but it didn't help.
    Thanks! Shayne

At last I got it all to work. I had to go into the registry and delete all references to Apple software and drivers. Some of the entries were locked, and I had to change permissions to allow me to delete them, which was probably the reason the installer kept failing. I finally got Boot Camp 3.0 installed off the Snow Leopard DVD and then upgraded to 3.2. I had a hickup with the trackpad drivers which didn't work, but I found a fix online -- the drivers labeled "TouchPad" were banged out, and I had to switch them to Generic USB Human Interface and then back to Apple TrackPad drivers, which fixed the problem. Now everything is working beautifully with multi-gesture touch pad and keyboard extensions. Yay!!!!!

  • 10.9.2 install Bootcamp win7 64bit iMac mid 2010 no bootable device - external superdrive, USB Stick

    Hey all,
    big problem here.
Trying to install Bootcamp on my iMac 27" mid 2010.
The thing is, during the installation, i get the "no bootable device" black screen, and i think i know why... but i need help.
System, a mid 2010 imac, 2TB HD ( Original) and an SSD Samsung 1TB at the Optical Drive SATA connection.
2TB HD is empty atm. OSX Installed on the SSD.
    Bootcamp Assistant. Problem nr. 1.
He first did not want to let me create an USB drive. after hacking the assistat, deleting the "Pre" thing in the info.plist, that worked so far.
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5479879?start=105&tstart=0 and several other postings got me so far.
Then when using the assistant, after choosing partition and so, when the iMac restarts, i get the "no bootable device" notice.
Read a lot, and it seems, that older iMacs, that originaly came with an internal superdrive only can install win 7 from that internal superdrive.
I have the problem, that i had it removed to put the SSD there.
So, when doing an EFI Boot, choosing the win USB Stick or the Win in my External Superdrive, - "no bootable...."
So i searched more. rEFIt should help. Installed, and all, doesnt work, same thing. As soon as i want to boot Win from the CD or Thumpdrive, doesnt work. :-(
In one of the many posts, someone wrote something about starting Shell in rEFIt first, etc... didnt work as well.
    then i found this post:
    http://www.andrewsavory.com/blog/2011/2156
sounded promissing. Somehow getting win installation files onto the Created Bootcamp partion with Virtual Mashine. But it didnt work for me.
The VW Fusion ware is different, and non of the steps he discribes works.
So how can i get it working.. it seems like it is somehow blocked to access something from the USB Ports.
Logicaly i would have to get the installation files onto a Internal drive. i Tried to create a partition and copy the Win 7 USB Thump using Disk Util Progeam onto a seperate, internal partition.. but he just does not what to do that... errormessages when trying to copy it, recreate the drive, etc.
So, i do have a 2TB internal HD, which i can use, an external superdrive, USB.Sticks. any gameplan?
And for Error-excluding: i have an original Win 7 64 bit CD, a burnd one and controled the Hash of the loaded ISO, which i downloaded for the USB-Stick.
    Any help? pls!!!

Hi Sam, the Mini Optical may draw too much USB power.
Can you restore that .iso to the Flash Drive as a CD/DVD instead of an image file?

  • I can't install my drivers from my external hardrive as windows wont recognise it.. how do i get back to my OS X Lion operating system?

I installed windows 7 on my MacBook Pro 13 inch fine and then when it came to install the bootcamp drivers from my external hardrive windows 7 doesnt recognise it in any way. So im stuck on windows 7 any ideas?

Some people don't even know there is a Set Default OS startup disk control panel as part of System Preferences.
With Lion and no DVD any more there is however a new Lion Recovery Mode and boot partition you want to get familiar with

  • Having issues updating Bootcamp drivers from 11.1 to 11.7

having issues updating Bootcamp drivers from 11.1 to 11.7
No matter what driver I have tried thus far
it does not install or update the drivers
Battlefield 3 nags you about having 11.1 and needing to update.
However this game proceeds to load using these drivers (11.1 )
I recently bought NFS THE RUN.
Unlike BF3 the game does not proceed therefore inorder to play this game i would need 11.7 or higher.
can someone please provide the driver that actualy installs and works.
My specs are MBP 15 inch
    1 gig GPU ( AMD Radeon 6750m)
    8 gigs on Ram
    2.2 CPU i7

Take a look around my bookmarks
you are updating AMD, not Boot Camp drivers.
    you need to uninstall first.
probably need to update via Device Manager not via Install from AMD
The 99% leaving out import 1% support to make Windows on Mac work 100% seamless

  • Cannot install bootcamp 2.1

For some reason, I can't update windows bootcamp to version 2.1. It downloads it, but when it's time to install the update it fails.
I tried downloading the installer from apple's site instead of doing it via software update, but it ends the same.
    Any ideas?

Installing Photoshop CS4 from original Disk onto my new Macbook Pro.  Serial number accepted but now asks for the serial number of a previous version e.g. CS3 which I no longer keep.  How do I resolve ?

Tina Hadley did you migrate/transfer your applications over to your new Macintosh?  If so this could cause problems with your serial number being recognized.  Please run the available uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once this is done you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool.  Details on the use of the CC Cleaner Tool can be found at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
