Cannot install camera profiles in Raw 5.2

After re-downloading Adobe Raw 5.2 and running the CameraProfiles.exe program and restarting my system I still cannot find any camera profiles under Camera Calibration other than the standard ones in either Lightroom or Camera Raw. I click the dropdown menu in Raw and click Load Settings, but cannot find any camera specific settings. I am running Photoshop CS4 and want to set it up for my new Canon 5D Mark II. Any suggestions?

You are aware that the camera profiles do not have a name the reflect
what camera they are for? The software populates the list with names
like "camera faithful" and "camera landscape". These are selected to fit
what ever camera took the picture and they use the same name for all
camera models. So if names like above are on the list, then they are the
correct ones for the camera you used. It is confusing that they are not
labeled with the camera model.

  • Cannot install camera raw 6.3

I downloaded camer raw 6.3 from the adobe downloads site but I cannot install it. There is no camera raw 6.3 installer.exe. There is an AdobePatchInstaller.exe but it returns an error code "update is not applicable" when I run it. Any suggestions.

I don't know what the origin of that message is, as I don't use Lightroom, but it could be just telling you that to get the best possible integrated raw file experience you need to have Photoshop CS5 to go along with the version of Lightroom you have.
I don't know what kind of camera you're using, but it could be that installing the Camera Raw 5.7 update for CS4 might get rid of the message:

  • Cannot install Camera Raw 5.4

I get messages telling me that I should download and install Camera Raw 5.4.  But when I download it and try to install it, I get a message in a popup windown telling me there is an error and it will not install giving me the option of trying again, doing it later, or aborting.  When I go to Photoshop CS4 my plugin shows Camera Raw twice.  When I click on the first installance (help-plug-in), I have a window popup telling me that it is Camera Raw 5.3.0.15, when I click on the second instance of Camera Raw, I get an error message telling me that it already exists.
Is there a way of uninstalling Camera Raw plugin, and installing the new Camera Raw 5.4?  Or, do I want to have both of them in which case, how do I install Camera Raw 5.4?

Search all the directories under your c:\Program Files\ for camera raw.8bi
(or camera*.8bi) and see how many you find.
If you only find one and it's in:
      C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS4\File Formats
then there aren't really multiple copies and I'm not sure what you tell you.
If you find more than one, then try renaming the one not in the directory
    listed, above, to
Camera Raw.8bi.err or something then try the camera-raw 5.4 upgrade, again.

  • Lightroom 2.5 Upgrade fails to install Camera Profiles

Having just upgraded from LR 2.4 to LR 3.5 as Administrator, I am unable to select any camera profile except one listed as "Beta" when logged on as a User.  The Adobe provided camera profiles that I've come to expect are ALL missing.
It appears that Adobe provided camera profiles have been installed at C;\Documents and Settings\All Users\... and NONE are located at C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\...
    Is this expected installation behaviour?
Shouldn't the camera profiles be located at some other location that allows anyone logging on to my computer to see ALL Adobe provided camera profiles?
How do I fix this problem so that ALL that log on can see the Adobe provided camera profiles?
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

The LR installer should install all the profiles for all supported cameras.
Profiles are selectable in Develop module from the camera calibration tab while working with RAW files.
The only profiles that will be displayed will be the ones specific to the camera model for the file selected.
Profiles for other cameras and models will not be displayed.
No profiles are selectable or displayed while working with jpeg, psd or tiff files.

  • Cannot Install Lens Profile Downloader

I'm trying to get user created profiles for my Sony cameras and lenses, as LR doesn't have very many built in.
I need to install the profile downloader, which downloads as a ".air" file. I've uninstalled Adobe Air and reinstalled the latest version but when I try to install the "Adobe_Lens_Profile_Downloader_1_0_1.air" file I get the message:
    "Sorry, an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
    Any ideas?
    I'm running a Mac on OX 10.7.5
    Thanks,

I saw that uninstalling the previous version (1.0) worked for others, but it has not worked for me. When I try to install version 1.0.1 I get the following error message:
    Sorry, an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance.
I first installed the latest version of Adobe Air (v3.5). I then tried three different approaches to uninstall ALPD 1.0. First I dragged ALPD 1.0 to the Trash, rebooted the Mac, and then tried to install ALPD 1.0.1. Got the error message above.
I reinstalled ALPD 1.0 from a backup disk, ran it to make sure it was working, then used AppZapper to delete the application, its cache, and its preferences. I rebooted the Mac, and then tried to install ALPD 1.0.1. Got the error message above.

  • Cannot install configuration profiles using iphone configuration utility, why?

I have several working configuration profiles, which I can distribute both via email and a website.
I'd like to install the profiles through the iPhone Configuration Utility, but I am not able to do so. The devices show up just fine in the list. When I choose the Configuration Profile tab and clicking the install-button on a profile (which will install fine via Email or website) in the list, nothing happens. Regardless of the device beeing out of the box, or activated via iTunes. What am I missing?
I have tried this on several iPad and iPad 2 devices with the latest (4.3.3) firmware installed.

    Hi,
I have the same problem. After creating profile with only General tab being set up it is failing to install on my iPad.
    Profile installation failed
The profile could not be added to device
    Any suggestions?
I even erase all content and setting but that didn't help either.
The only alarming thing is that in my Certificate section I have red message:
"This certificate was signed by and untrusted issuer"
    Can that effect installation?
If that is the case how to fixed it?
P.S. iPad was purchased from Apple Store.

  • Cannot install enrolment profiles

Tried to install enrolment profiles in a white iMac running 10.7.5 and on a brand new iPad mini.
    Both installation failed.
This morning the iMac was able to download the enrolment profile from profile manager, but going through the installation, it fails at the end of the process with the message an unknown error has occurred.
Tried to install on the iPad mini afterwards, got a 500 internal server error  after clicking the blue enrol this device button.
I can download and install Trust Profiles and Setting for Everyone Profiles without issue and they install fine.
Currently every time I hit Enroll, I get the 5000 server error on both machines.
I restarted everything a few times.
I created placeholders for both machines, I read this could help.
I tried to change settings in server.app, profile manager to sign and not sign profiles
Nothing seems to work. I can't enrol the devices. Last devices I enrolled was in July, without any issues. A MacBook Pro 2011, an iPhone 5, a Macbook Pro 2009, an iMac 2013 and an iPad1.
Should I continue to pull my hair or wait for a fix? There seems to be quite a few posts along the same issue, none of them resolved. Actually, I saw one resolved, but by moving to a different solution.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Apple configurator and ios 6.1 cannot install config profile

I'm using the Apple Configurator v1.2.1 to install my enterprise app into iPad 2's. First of all, I am unable to upgrade from iOS 6.0.1 to 6.1.2. It either fails or gets stuck and I have to "stop". My work around is to upgrade via the device (which is actually pretty fast). My big problem is that I am also installing provisioning and configuration profiles, which include files for the app. Every things seems to go ok, the app and all the data installs properly, so does the profisioning profile, until the end where the configurator tells me to "tap device to install profile" but the profile prompt never appears on the iPad. The iPad goes into setup as if it's a new iPad and the config profile nevers gets installed. I do get a warning saying it can't install the profile. I'm forced to update the configuration manually. I'm updating about a dozen each time, so it's starting to get tedious as well as error-prone. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Use whatever method you wish to update iOS
    Go though,the setup as needed
Then try apple Configurator to install your profiles
From memory updating iOS with apple Configurator
Causes the setup to run like a new device the same if you used iTunes to update
As the complete OS is installed
However it will only download iOS once, providing all your devices are the same
Updating iOS on the device still has a setup but it's only for iCloud
And you'd have to download the (smaller) update each time
I would think it is the iOS update and setup that's causing your profiles etc
to fail there maybe to much going on at the same time

  • Cannot install Camera Raw 6.6 in CS 5

I have tried to install the update for Camera Raw 6.6 but I keep getting an error message.  It says "some updates failed to install" and then says "update is not applicable".  It says to "Contact Customer Support for further assistance."  I ran the Adobe Support Advisor and it has the following message "Inspection found an issue but cannot determine the cause or corrective action. Please contact Adobe Support for further assistance. http://www.adobe.com/support".  I have classes to teach tomorrow evening and some of my students shoot NEF format.
I have tried and cannot open the files because I get a message "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.  Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for additional information."
I have read through some of the forums which say there is a problem with Camera Raw 6.6 in regards to RAW and NEF files.  I updated to Version 12.0.4 in CS 5 32 bit and have also ran the Camera Raw 6.1 with the same results.  I also updated the Adobe DNG Converter 6.6, Adobe Air and Adobe Support Advisor.
This is very maddening and seems to be a big issue for many people.
Can someone direct me to the solution for this issue.

I'm sorry you have not had a response yet, and I am not going to be able to give a definitive answer either.   I can't see if you have mentioned what platform you are using?
Recent ACR updates have installed outside of the auto update process for me, mainly because I see a heads up in places like tis forum of DPReview, but the updater still tries and fails to include ACR.  When I check it is already installed.  That does not sound to be the case for you as you say you have unsecessfully tried to open NEF files from recen Nikons.
Have you tried downloading ACR manually outside of the updater?

I don't feel like I have fixed your problem, but if you at least tell us what platform you are using, the weekend is coming to a close and folk are getting back to work, so help will be on its way.

  • Cannot install Camera Raw 7.2 update

    Hi there,
i used abobe download asstant to download and install elements 11. then used elements - help - updates to download and install raw 7.2. however i cannot open any of my rx100 raw .arw files.
camera raw is not listed in   help - about plugin
im using windows xp sp3, and have two physical internal hard drives ( C drive for OS, f drive for data/program files)
i asked adobe to install elements into F:\Program Files\Adobe
i can see that elements auto installs some data to
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe
including what looks like the raw plugin post update
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\CameraRaw
only thing i can think of is rule out two drive issue, uninstall and reintall all to c drive to see if fixes to help elements 'see' plugin
or is there any way to 'force' adobe to see plugin?
    any assistance appreciated
    many thanks
    rob
p.s. experienced it chap, but new to elements and adobes photo software!

    you will see here
    http://www.adobe.com/store/en_us/popup/software/elements11/trialfaq.html
thats confirms pse11 is a fully funtional software package and the trial version contains no limitations - uninstall/reinstall works as normal (i have currently done this three times)
pse11 remembers how far through the trial you are on the same pc
when you first download pse with download assistant it asks for a download directory and this directory subsequently contans all the program files necessary (1gb+) to reinstall pse11 should it be required.
Barabra - i had alread hit uninstall so continued...!
i tried installing to c drive only and same symptoms where pse11 works as normal but not picking up the plugin . but i think i may have found the issue when trying to copy the orig pse11 download/installation folder to another xp machine to rule out this one as the cause. when it got to data19.cab it hit an crc error, so i think my root problem is the orig download could well have some corrupt files.
so currently going back to drawing board on pc2 with XP for a fresh download/install to see how i get on (and this one only has one hard drvie anyway)
also possiby of interest after a little digging last night. within editor. Edit - Preferences - plugins it is possible to specificy to pse11 where to look for plugins. i don't think will help me right at this moment though.
    many thanks,
    Rob

  • Cannot install Camera Raw Plug In

I downloaded Camera raw 3.7 Am told to install in Library/application support/adobe/Plug-ins/CS2/File Formats
Problem is, I do not have any of these folders past Adobe. I can get to Library/application support/adobe and that's where it ends.
So, do I need to re-install photoshop to get the rest of the folders (plug-ins, etc.) Or what am I doing wrong?
I am working in CS2. My camera is a D70.
    Thank you for your help

  • Cannot Install Camera Raw Converter 5.2

I get an error message telling me that there's an error and that I should abort, retry, or ignore and implement remaining updates. What should I do next?

Brian - In CS4, Bridge has the option of "pre-starting" when you turn on your PC. This "pre-start" has the following impact:
    - Makes your PC boot-up take slightly longer
    - Makes Bridge start up faster
    - Can cause the problem you are having (since Bridge is active even though you don't know it)
If you haven't tried it already, Go to Edit>Preferences>Advanced in Bridge and turn off "Start Bridge at Logon". You will then need to close Bridge and you may also need to re-start your PC. Then you can try your update.
    Hope that helps.

I just bought a new ideapad s205 and i installed windows 7 x64 on it. windows installed a generic driver for the camera, a 2006 driver, and i cannot change it...windows says it's the best driver. the problem is that the image is very dark...you can only see shades... i downloaded the driver from lenovo, installed the bison software but that does nothing to change the driver...
where can i get the drivers for this camera...the drivers alone to change those that windows installed?

can not install profile using configuration utlity on ipda2. Worked on first iPad but no other iPad works.

Open iTunes, connect your iPad, click on the iPad in the left-hand column then check for updates.
iOS updates are free for iPads & iPhones. I think early ones for the iPod Touch were paid.
