I've just installed creative cloud 64 bit windows.  How can I make bridge the default program to upload pictures rather than lightroom?

Usually the default program associated with an image file extension is an image developing Program like Lightroom or an image editing program like Photoshop. If you want to change the default associated program to Adobe Bridge you would use Window's Controls Panel file association applet.

  • Failure to install Creative Cloud Master for Windows

    Hi all,
I am using an Enterprise Creative Cloud and have packaged the Adobe CC Master for Windows.
I have followed the rules of installation by installing Acrobat XI first.
Upon installation of Acrobat, I proceeded to install Creative Cloud by going to the Build folder and install the Setup.exe by running as an Administrator. I have also disabled my anti-virus scanner as well. It starts to scan my harddisk and there is a progress bar that displays. Mid-way down the installation process, it just stops installing and it immediately uninstalls by displaying the progress-bar back to the start.
Why is this so? I understandthat by having an Entreprise account does not need you to go by the normal way of going to the Creative Cloud Manager to download and have a password to type in right?
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks!

    Hi Romit Sinha,
    Thanks for your prompt response.
For some strange reasons, after I restarted my computer, disabled my anti-virus again and run the setup.exe using the administrator rights, it manages to install the CC apps within the build folder.
However, may I know how do I install both Edge Reflow and Edge Code? As I am using an enterprise edition, I don't see these 2 products within the Build or Exclusions folder. Must I log in to the Creative Cloud (using my Adobe ID and password) to download them?
If I log-in using my adobe account, will Adobe start charging me which will be ludicrous as I already have an enterprise edition.
    What gives?
    Thanks and Regards

  • I just installed Photoshop CC on new Windows 8.1 pro system and now it wont create new file or open existing files.

Ugh this is so frustrating and I suspect it is an easy fix I am too tired to figure out.
I just got a new PC and installed Creative Cloud and Photoshop CC, logged in and launched Photoshop. It launches fine, no error messages or anything. The tutorial window pops up and I close it. Then if I try to create a new file (the option window comes up) nothing happens after I submit the options. I mean nothing. No error message, no crash, no file canvas nothing. If I try to open an existing file it loads Photoshop as if it is going to open the file and Photoshop loads without any error messages but no file, again nothing.
    Please help.
I am so behind in my work lol.

After three or four tries, it just started working - I didn't change any settings or anything. I was just showing my friend how it wouldn't work and bam it opened a file finally...
    never seen this behavior before...

  • Windows Update in Endless Loop of 'Installing updates" and "Undoing changes" on New Windows 8.1 Pro Install

I am setting new Windows 8.1 Pro computers, and am installing Windows 8.1 Pro to bare drives.  Everything goes fine until Windows Update starts installing updates, and then the computer goes for hours installing updates, and then "We
could not complete the updates Undoing changes".   It's an endless loop. It seems to be the same 38 updates.  This is a recent phenomenon.  I have not run into this until the last week or two on several new computer installs.
Again these are brand new installs, so something is clearly wrong with the Windows updates.
If anyone can please tell me how to avoid this, it would be much appreciated.
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
"  This is a recent phenomenon"
Have you made any modifications to the machines ?
To resolve this issue ,running the built-in troubleshoot tool is a very good beginning .It will automatically diagnostic the windows update components and check the configurations for us .
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\Fix problems with Windows Update
If there are antivirus software installed in these machines, please turn off them temporarily to have a check.
The command line included in the link as S.Sengupta posted is very useful and convenient to repair the windows corrupted files .We can have a try .
    "sfc /scannow" ,"DISM.EXE /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth "
We also can check the windowsupdate.log for more information to troubleshoot this issue .
     Run "windowsupdate.log"
If you have trouble in analyzing the log ,please upload them to the OneDrive and paste the link here .
    Best regards

  • Cannot use Creative Cloud in new Mac after using Migration Assistant

I used Migration Assistant to set up my new Mac (new computer is a Retina MacBookPro; so was old computer). I could not open any of my CC apps. When I open Creative Cloud Desktop App it is completely blank (no tabs for Apps, Fonts, Files, etc. -- No means of installing or updating apps). I uninstalled Creative Cloud and reinstalled (several times) but got the same results. I have also deleted all the Application Folders for CC apps that cam ever with Migration Assistant.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • I cannot get Creative Cloud to update the applications I have installed. How can I get CC to update them?

I am unable to get Creative Cloud to update my CC programs I have installed on my MacBook Pro. The programs were originally installed from a free year trial that my work was offered. It was an enterprise trial. Because I work with multiple translations, I installed the English language with Arabic support versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. The Creative Cloud desktop program shows that these programs are all "up to date" even though they are not. None of these programs allow me to go to Help>Updates either. That option is grayed out. I have read through several forums and help articles. I have done the following:
Uninstalled and reinstalled CC desktop program.
Logged out of CC desktop program.
    Deleted the opm.db file.
Reopened the CC desktop program after deleting this file.
Uninstalling and reinstalling all of my CC programs on my MacBook.
There has to be something that I'm missing... or is it that I'm using the Arabic supported versions of these programs?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I can't install Creative Cloud on my Windows 8.1 PC.

I have been trying to install the creative cloud application on my computer, using the creative cloud set up tool. It gets about halfway and then says, 'Creative Cloud desktop failed to install. (Error code: 1)
Searching through these forums and on google, I haven't been able to find any help that matches my issue. I have no adobe programs currently installed, so that shouldn't be an issue. Nonetheless, I've used the cleaner tools, and all that. I am not experiencing the issue where people have difficulty updating the program. It is not installed on my computer at all.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Error 205 when installing Creative Cloud, Error A12E5 when trying to manually install AAM

There's always one machine that gives you trouble...  This is on a network with 20 other machines that all installed CC just fine.  I went to install it on this machine, and I got a bunch of failed download attempts.  CC installer gives error 205, and installing the AAM from adobe.com/downloads -> other downloads runs fine, and then craps out when downloading (A12E5).  Both generate log files that look a lot like this (attached at the end).  No proxies installed, Windows firewall disabled, very basic AV (MSE) running.  Router and FIOS just rebooted for the heck of it.
It looks like when I try to access the file directly, I'm told I don't have permission to access the file -- not sure if the server is looking at the browser request headers and denying it because it's not coming from its downloader.  I really don't feel like firing up Fiddler to check.  It sounds like there's an error in Adobe's CDN -- no way this many people have "bad ethernet cables" or need to try another ISP.  If that were really the case, I'd have web pages and other downloads timing out left and right.  This computer is nothing special.  It had CS4 installed, which I uninstalled and ran the cleaner before installing this.
Any ideas that aren't the official Adobe "fixes"?  I never thought I'd long for the days of having a DVD in hand.  Most software houses do online distribution right.  Judging by the number of people on these forums reporting these issues (with zero resolution), Adobe is really hamfisting this.
And... I would post the log, but I keep getting 'Please try again later m5' -- VERY USEFUL ERROR MESSAGE.  Thanks Adobe, for your wonderfully inadequate error messages.

Very odd.  And it just limited to this one computer?  If you review the DLM_Native.log it will contain details of the downloads being saved.  I would recommend reviewing that log file to see if there some errors which are preventing the download from being saved and the installer from initializing.
Also in case you run into any difficulties with the installation process please see Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC for information on how to locate and review the installation logs.
You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover.  If you can indicate which log file you reviewed as you did in message #3 it is appreciated.

  • Problem installing creative cloud.  AdobePIM.dll contains an error

I am trying to instal creative cloud on a Windows 7 64bit PC.  the installation is not working because it keeps saying the file AdobePIM.dll contains an error and then the file creative cloud helper.exe cannot start due to an incompatibility with 64bit.  I have tried a few times but I think it keeps finding the same corrupted file not re downloading it.
How can I delete the corrupted download and force it to start again?

I am not having success with the chat.  No reply.
I cannot get to Creative Cloud through the uninstal programs route as it does not show there.
Do you think I can delete the folders which were created during the failed installation?  They have today's date as the folder creation date.  They are
    c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe
    c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files/Adobe
I may have to open windows in safe mode to do this.  Will I affect the registry by deleting a program which was not installed successfully.
