Cannot install Designer. Install error 1158
Has anyone had a problem installing LiveCycle Designer? I keep getting (Installshield) error "1158", which apparently means it's having problems with the content of the setup.ini file strings. However, that file and its contents don't appear corrupt. I've tried installing several times and have even re-downloaded the zip, all without sucess.
Any ideas? I am running Windows 7 32-bit. Note that this OS isn't specifically mentioned in the setup.ini file, but online discussions suggest that the Designer will run under Win 7.

When Epic is launched from a desktop Icon calling for a particular web page, it throws up a "Windows cannot find" Specified site error box, but then goes ahead and loads the site. It only happens with Epic; never had this problem with the regular Firefox browser.
I make these Icons by dragging from the address bar once I reach the site. It is a quick way to return later.
Very frustrating, please help.Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.
Please check out this (very long) thread for more information: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898 browser freezes after resuming from sleep]
Or jump to the part about Firefox 23: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898?page=3#answer-457321
The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem. -
Cannot open designer for aspx files after installing Visual Studio 2013
When I attempt to open the design tab for a aspx file I get a popup that reads: Cannot load "C:\PROGRA~2\MICROS~3.0\Common7\Packages|FPACUT~1.DLL". I'm running on Win 7 SP1. Version of Studio is 2013 Ultimate. I tried running
in SafeMode and tried using /Log but theirs nothing related to this error coming out. I very novice with VS, but I'm an experienced Java developer. I actually had a version of VW 2012 Pro that I was using for TFS for a java project. I've
tried a repair, I've tried an uninstall. I've uninstalled the old 2012 version of VS. Nothing seems to get around it. Be happy to supply additional info, but not sure where to look.Hello ToddMorgan,
Can you create a new project and test the result?
If you can open any aspx file from other projects then please copy content from your current project to the new project.
If you still cannot open any aspx file, please upload your full logs. Please use
http://aka.ms/vscollect
to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to
https://skydrive.live.com/
and share the link here.
I will check whether your installation is corrupt when install. By the way, you may also try refer to this page:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3937135/cannot-load-fpacutl10-dll-error-in-vs2010
And check whether the system variable is the cause of your issue.

Barry

cannot update or install itunes. ger error message RSVCR80 not installed. windows error 126.
Hey sndlot,
Follow the steps in this link to resolve the issue:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so arearticularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

Problem Installing Adobe CS 5.5 Web Design Premium, Error Code 6
I just purchased Adobe CS 5.5 Web Design Premium. I've attempted installing it about a half dozen times now, maybe more. I am getting variations of "Error Code 6".
I have been through steps 1-3 of this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/errors-exit-code-6-exit.html but it hasn't helped (the error log is slightly different, but that's about it).
I have attempted to look at the descriptions, but many of the errors in my log summary were not on the list of errors here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/installation-launch-log-errors-creative.html - however of the ones that were, I found this entry:
DF012 Installation source path does not exist: <path>
The installation files are corrupted.
Reextract or copy the contents of the installer.
Which is discouraging and confusing to me, as I have tried installation both from my new, just opened CDs and by downloading the installation files from here: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html.
I'm not sure what my next step should be to try.
Here's the log information (I deleted a lot of the space between lines (paragraph marks), if that is somehow important, I can paste it here without conserving space):

Also, this is a student edition, but as I've verified myself with Adobe and received my licence key, that shouldn't cause problems as far as I can tell.

Error installing Designer's Repository
I try to install designer 10 R2 123 . When I try to create a new application_system I have and error RME with an associated error ORA 06508 could not find the program unit;
When I looked with view objects two package bodies fail to compile, JR_REG_IO and RM_DBG
error:PLS 201 identifier UTL_file must be declared.
Can somebody help me?First of all, use the repository owner's username and password only to install the repository, and do administrative tasks, like granting a new user access to the repository, or upgrading the repository. Don't use it for day to day work, including installing the tutorial.
Second, did you set the registry variables EXECUTE_EXP and EXECUTE_IMP to point to the versions of your EXP.EXE and IMP.EXE that go with your database? This will be in a different Oracle Home from your Designer installation. This is very important both when installing or upgrading the repository, and when importing or exporting data to and from the repository. A mismatch between the IMP version and the database version can be a problem.
A TNS error can be many things. Can you give us the text of the error and the full error code? -

Unable to download itunes since 2 updates ago and crashed computer. Windows update as suggested in some posts does not assist either.
Can anyone assist me? Thank you so muchShould the advice above not fix things for you...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I did install Adobe Premiere 11 and I cannot get it open, error 126
I have Windows 8 Pro / 64 bit
I did install to day:
Adobe Photoshop 11 and
Adobe Premiere Elements 11
When trying to open (load) Adobe Premiere Elements 11 video editing
there is an error
ERROR
LoadLibrary with error 126
Specified part cannot be found
I had same problem with Adobe 8 and same now with Adobe 11
What to do
or do I return product back, refunding money?
(I did buy it to day)
Greetings
kariHei,
First: Thank you:
I succeed, finally, after few uninstalling/ installing driver and software
/Adobe Pre 11: in differennt order:
AMD/Ati monitor driver run to dating new correct one did not help,
( I had Win7/64 running (pure install with all software), Win8/64 changed
plenty drivers to "her" own General Drivers (Microsoft), what is wrong!!!! )
so I delete monitor driver twice!! First delete did not help, so I delete
again all and run hard disk defrag, re delete driver and forced system to
load AMD/Ati win8 driver and reboot and re install Adobe Premiere 11 again
and after that, now call for error 126, so software works also in video
part.
Thank you help
even my explain may not be so clear, but now ok
(Must say, anyway, plenty "rabbish" is in Windows8 now in, when looking in,
but too sensitive to delete similarities away, when the order of
similarities (what is a last one) is not clear and it is not same order
with Windows in different installations)
Now
AsusTek informs for 3 year old motherboard, no win8 correction coming,
suggest to delete softwares, in question, huh huh.
It seems Win8 is also now working properly like when I open from Start
window Worktable, appears an error AsusSetup does not support this
operating system: WNT_6.2P_64_MCE
So:
Windows 8 Pro /64 and
Adobe and
Asus
are still far from pre-co-opertion for a client
Thank you Adibo, now, first time I did get a proper assistance for software
problem

Trying to install update and error message says older version of itunes cannot be removed
trying to install update and error message says older version cannot be removed
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Cannot install itunes, getting error message 8.0.50727.6195
cannot install itunes, getting error message 8.0.50727.6195. Any ideas?
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.) -
AHHHHHHH! Install cannot connect to database error!
I am so frustrated with application server install...
I'm trying to install SOA 10.1.3, advanced option, 1st option
When it asks me for database account, host name, service name I enter all this info in then i click next...
This is when I get the Install cannot connect to database error even though db i'm trying to connect to is on same machine!
Anyone have any ideas other than laying off medication as to what the problem is?Check the requirement chapter in the Installation Guide, but it should be similar to:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.88 yourserver.domain.com yourserverHowever, I don't think you should change any of this after a installation... -

Some of our tests (VIs) have significant interaction with test equipment, and perform a large number of measurements, and comparisons to ranges to determine pass/fail. We do all of this inside the VI's by having them read a config file when they run
