Cannot install Flash on my Macbook

I know there is a workaround for installing the latest version of Flash, but I've forgotten it.  Please help.

Quit Safari.
System Preferences > Other > Flash Player > Advanced > Updates > "Check Now"
Follow the prompts.
Restart.

  • Cannot Install CS6 on my MacBook Pro.

I cannot install CS6 on my Macbook Pro.
It says to re-install but I can't un-install and some components may be missing.
    Error Code: 1
    Please help, in desperate need.

What Mac? What version of OSX? Exit code 1 basically means that your system is not compatible at all. As a start, run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and try again - assuming you are on a supported system.

  • I cannot install downloadassistant to my macbook pro

I can download AdobeDownLoadAssistant, but cannot install it to my MacBook Pro.  I read the discussion forum, but that did not help.  I get error 3010, which I don't see listed in any of the discussions.  I am trying to download a trial version of Adobe Pro XI.

Can you please post a screenshot of the error message which you are receiving?

  • Cannot install flash version 10.1.0 onto a mac 10.4.11

    Hello,
I cannot install flash version 10.1.0 onto a mac 10.4.11 and therefore cannot use YouTube or the BBCIplayer. Is there a compatability problem?

I am in the same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.
You can download TenFourFoxG5 from here:
    http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:
    http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/PluginsNoLongerSupported
    But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
    Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine.

  • I cannot install flash player on my MAC - (osx 10.8.4) - it downloads 50%, then clicks to "finish"

I cannot install flash player on my Mac - running OSX 10.8.4 and Safari 6.0.5.  The progress bar show is as  downloading to 50%, then converts to "installing" and immediately goes to 100% and says it's installed. But it's not.  I get another Adobe Flash installer icon on my desktop instead.  Help!

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
First, remove Adobe Flash Player completely using Flash Player uninstaller for MAC : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
Download offline installer for Adobe Flash Player (MAC) from here : http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/mac/install_flash_playe r_11_osx.dmg
Once the file is downloaded, run the installer

  • Cannot Install Flash 10.2 on MacBook Pro

I have spent the last three hours trying to install Flash 10.2 on my MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.8.
I have run the Flash uninstaller several times throughout the process.
Each time I successfully "install" 10.2 I try to run something like Google Maps Streetview and get the same message over and over telling me I need to install latest version of Flash.
I have no idea what to do at this point and any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi, You didn't say if you are using Safari or another browser. Either way, when Flash Player Installs, the Shockwave Flash plugin is also Installed and must be Enabled. Sometimes it gets disabled, so you may want to check that. This is a browser plugin.
Then I have read that the Repair Permissions must be used with the Disk Utility. You may already know this. I don't use a Mac, but read from what other Mac users post and read the Apple Discussions concerning Flash Player.
Whether it's a PC or a Mac, the websites are looking for that plugin and that's probably why you are getting that message.
    Hope that helps,

  • Cannot download Flash CC on MacBook Pro Retina running Mavericks

I have a subscription to Creative Cloud; even though Photoshop CC can be downloaded and installed, Flash CC cannot.
It is not listed in creative cloud panel running on my machine, only Flash CS6 is available.
    - I tried to login to Creative Cloud website using chrome and click on the download link for Flash CC, but it did not work.
    - I had tried to uninstall Creative Cloud and run the Cloud Cleaner tool, but it did not help.
I'm running Maverick on a MacBook Pro with Retina display (intel Core i7). I have plenty of space on my disk, and as far as i can tell, the machine meets all Flash CC requirements.
This is also the same with illustrator.
    Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you for your quick reply.
    I did
    uninstall all creative cloud apps,
    uninstall creative cloud,
    run cleaner tool
    and then reinstall creative cloud.
When I open creative cloud panel, only Flash CS6 is on the list.
I have been doing this process for 5 times now, including today attempt.
I tried to go in adobe website and install it via the link
    https://creative.adobe.com/products/flash
The link open Creative Cloud Panel and do nothing.
I have the same issue with illustrator CC.
It is strange that I do not have the same issue with Photoshop CC.
Any further assistance would be much appreciated.

  • I cannot install updates on my macbook and itunes no longer works.

I have a macbook that is 3-4 years old. Recently it stopped booting up at all, however was able to restore using original discs. However, my itunes doesn't work and I cannot install any updates at all. I can download the updates from apple, however, once finished it won't install. The installer utility pops up onthe task bar for about 1 second then disappears. I get no error messages or anything. Same thing for when I try to open itunes...the icon bounces once on the taskbar, but nothing opens. Nothing happens. I think the hard drive may be going bad. Can anybody help me with this? If that was the only machine you've installed it on, just throw the disks in the new machine and install away. All of Adobe's CS and CC software licensing allows you to have it installed on two machines.
If it's older CS software, you would need to install it on the same kind of OS (Mac or PC), but CC software doesn't have that limitation. If you're a CC subscriber, just download the CC Desktop App and install from there no matter which OS you have.
If you get a "Maximum Activations Reached" error, you'll need to call Adobe to have them clear that issue up if the old computer is completely un-salvageable. If you can still fire it up, just open DW on the old machine and choose Help > Deactivate before installing on the new machine.

Hello All, I want to first say I appreciate your help.
I did find a solution. In adobe there is a 'lab' section. Here there is a spot to click on Adobe Flash 10.1 after installing this and restarting my computer the problem is fix.
Here is the link to what I used.
Hope this helps someone else like it did me.
