Cannot install GarageBand 2

Question

I have a 3 3/4 year old Imac and I have been having problems installing from DVD's though it will play commercial DVD's. I recently purchased ILIfe '05 and was able to install IPhoto off the included CD but I cannot install GarageBand off the DVD. All it says it that there was an error and I must try to install again though to no avail. I have run Disk Utilities and started up from my Tiger CD(could not load Tiger from the DVD either) and Verified the HD. Also have run my Apple Hareware Test. All showed up okay. Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue on and iBook G4. Here is the end of the installer log.
I have tried three different iLife 05 DVDs. They do the same thing on other machines. All other iLife apps install normally. Am running 10.4.3. does the same on 10.3.9.
