I am trying to create a new SCVMM environment.
I picked a bunch of VMs that are up and running.
I know the administrator credentials for these VMs (It's the same for all of the chosen VMs)
I have a test controller on my dev machine which is also up and running.
But I'm getting an error in the Verification step saying -
"Microsoft test manager cannot install test agent on these machines. Possible causes:
- Machines are not running or they are not available on the network.
- The File and Printer sharing exception is not enabled on the machines."
I have done the following -
1) Disabled firewalls on all the machines
2) Network Adapters on all the machines are connected (ON) and their drivers are up to date
3) Enabled file and printer sharing exceptions on all machines
Still getting the same error.
Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch! That's probably a very well written description of what
you've done... it seemed refreshingly thorough. I'm on the verge of
a cold or something, with a slightly fuzzy brain, so what I thought
I read seemed to describe you've done just about everything
correctly, except for one thing (maybe another)... If you gave the
button the instance name stepin...
stepin.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,
mouseDownHandler);
and you could/should change that from MOUSE_DOWN to CLICK
If that's not the problem, then it is possible the issue
arises due to the tween. Be sure to have the button instance name
assigned at both ends of the tween (I'm assuming by classic tween
you mean a timeline tween). For some reason objects don't like to
give up some of their past life's properties when moving from one
frame to the next, so if the beginning of the tween doesn't have an
instance name, then it's likely that it stays that way when it
reaches the other end despite you assigning the name there.
PS - for the stepin button, if you haven't already done so,
you should open it for editing and draw a rectangle in the 4th
(Hit) frame that covers the entire area of the text. It will not be
visible, but will allow clicking between letters in the button...
making it easier to click on -
Cannot install zabbix-agent 1.8.8-1 from AUR
I get ==> ERROR: install file ((zabbix-agent.install)) does not exist.
How to fix this?
tyYou need to edit the PKGBUILD, it should read
install="zabbix-agent.install"
instead of
install=(zabbix-agent.install)
You can use the latest version, 1.8.10, if you like:

Still cannot install the agent on Server 2012 R2 Core
Hi
I'm using the latest build of the agent (that I could find - 2.0.8692).
This KB http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2997692/en-us says that 2.0.8689 and above should be supported on Windows Server 2012 R2 Core.
The installation works, but when I'm about to do the postsetup (Register Server Wizard) I get an unhandeld exception and cannot continue.
The error reads:
Creating an instance of the COM Component with CLSID {DC1C5A9C-E88A-4DDE-A5A1-60F82A20AEF7} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80040111 ClassFactory cannot supply requested class (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040111 (CLASS_E_CLASSNOTAVAILABLE))I am getting the same error, Hyper-V Server 2012R2

How to install diagnostic agent for nw 7.0sp17, with solman ehp1- sp25
Hi Gurus,
we are using NW 7.0 Enterprise portal at SP17, want to configure E2E. So installed solution manager 7.0 EHP1 SPS 25.
Ran the Guided procedure solman_setup successfully. with intitial config, basic config and pending at managed system config.
Here my question is:
do i need to install smd agent on solman? or solman itself comes with agent. i cannot see any agent in mmc on solution manager.
What is SOLMANDIAG and SOLMAN AGENT, SMD Agent and Host agent.
The guide (https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000952852009E) says before install SMD agent, install host agent, diagnostics agents are available 7.11 on wards, while installing smd agent sapinst asking SAP Unicode Kernel 711 , but currently my NW Portal system is using kernel 7.0..
Any guide, how to proceed for E2E on nw7.0 SP17 with solman ehp1 sp25( highest availale spack)
Thanks in advance.
Regards
BalajiHi Balaji,
As per the SMD agent 7.11 installation guide (https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700000952852009E) , Page 6 and 8, you would need to download the standard NW 7.11 DVDSs( usually kernel and Installation master) and SMD agent installation packages from the SMP. Location is mentioned in the guide as well.
For your query that Portal is based in i386, these are two different things. The SMD Agent will be installed with its own kernel and also 7.11 kernel is not support edon 32bit. However the SMD agent will use its own 7.11 64bit kernel and Portal will use its i386 kernel. Hopefully your hardware is able to support both. I recommend to proceed with x86_64 7.11 kernel for your SMD installation. Incase the hardwar does not support this, go for alower release of SMD Agent wherein the kernel supports 32 bit hardware.

Install GC Agent on host with GC repository database.
Hello,
I have a couple questions about setting up a Grid Control environment. We are doing a proof of concept for grid control. We currently have two linux servers, one for the repository database (11gR2), and one for the Grid Control/OMS(10gR5).
My question is can we install the GC Agent on the repository database server?
I would like to monitor the repository database server and the repository database itself, but is that possible?
I tried installing the agent on the repository db server and I thought it was a success, but when I run emctl agent status I get the following:
EM Configuration issue. /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/phxoemdb.revenue.int_GRIDDB not found.
Should I use emca and configure the database? I'm worried it will mess with the Grid Control Repository tables.Well, now that the post is active again, let me respond:
My question is can we install the GC Agent on the repository database server? There is already (or should be) a "Central Agent" on the OMS server. If the EM repository database is on a different server from the OMS, then you do need to install a regular agent.
I would like to monitor the repository database server and the repository database itself, but is that possible? This is definitely possible as long as there is an agent on the server, either the central agent or regular agent like on any other server.
I tried installing the agent on the repository db server and I thought it was a success, but when I run emctl agent status I get the following:If OMS is executing on the same server as the repository database, then there is already a central agent. Each component has it's own Oracle Home, maybe you are trying to execute the commands from a different home. You need to set the correct environment for each component when executing command related to that component.

I'm new to GC and have:
GC Server 10.2.0.4 on a RHEL4.7 32-bit server trying to manage targets that are RHEL5.2 64-bit. The GC comes up and sees it's local host server but I cannot get the agents from the RHEL5.2 servers to register.
The steps I took:
1. Installed base 10.2.0.1 on RHEL4.7 (32-bit) server
2. Upgraded GC to 10.2.0.4 (did not upgrade the DB repository)
3. Deployed 10.2.0.4 Linux 64-bit agents to targets
Any ideas on what I may have missed?
Thanks in advance,
MarthaSure enough the upload failed with:
"EMD upload error: uploadXMLFiles skipped :: OMS version not checked"
A quick google search turned up a match on this forum where it was noted that the permissions were not set up correctly. And it was recommended to run: ./emctl secure agent <mypassword>
Once I did that, I can see the target hosts om the OEM GC server.
Thanks for the hint!

Cannot install on volume / because it is disabled.
Hello,
I am having some difficulties with Flash Player and Office 2011 updates.
Both of them are not able to install something on my Macintosh HD:
Microsoft AutoUpdate says he can't find a volume with the appropriate Mac OS version.
Adobe Flash Player Manager always fails with: General installation error. The logfile says: installer: Cannot install on volume / because it is disabled.
This is the last clue I have.
In my opinion it's a Mac OS related problem so I tried to repair the volume and the permissions of the volume with DiskUtilities: no difference.
Currently I have installed the FlashPlayer Debugger. Apparently this version has no problems with my volume.
Honestly I don't want to install the whole system AGAIN. It would be the third time just because of small mac osx bugs. The last time the Apple Hardware Test destroyed my file system From now on I am afraid to push any buttons during the boot process
You guys are my last hope
Regards[...] As described here, check which version you have installed, & if it is not the current one, follow the instructions on that page to install the latest version. Note that if you have any problems, you should only use the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller to uninstall Flash Player installation files.
Sorry I did not make this clear: I tried all of this descriptions and everytime I got: General installation error.
Doesn't matter if I uninstall it before, install it with the offline installer, start the installer via terminal or whatever... it doesn't work for me.
Adobe Flash Player Manager is obsolete. [...]
You mean the Adobe Download Manager. The normal Flashplayer installation is provided by the Flash Player Manager.
Also note that Adobe says you should not have FlashPlayer Debugger installed to ensure a clean upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. Again, follow the instructions given on that page to remove it.
I have noticed that, but like I said: the normal version doesn't work for me it says in the logs it can't write to the root directory.
There is no conceivable way Apple Hardware Test could "destroy" a file system since it only does certain checks of the hardware. Please describe how you ran it & why you think it caused file system damage.
Long story short: I tried to boot into AHT but got stuck in the loading screen. I don't know why. So I restarted the system but I couldn't boot anymore. DiskUtilities said volume broken and it wasn't able to repair it. I tried it like a million times: the filesystem was corrupt. I made an image of the volume and was able to mount it in readonly mode, so at least I did not lose my data.
At the end I found out I had to push ALT+D and not just D like described on this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1533.
Problems like you describe are sometimes caused by incompatible third party 'modifiers,' "helpers," etc. added to the system. Download & run Etrecheck & post the results if you would like help in determining if one or more of those items is contributing to your issues.

== User Agent ==
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)None of the stuff in " http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite " helps. I have tried and tried and I have even wipe the computer clean still didn't help. I got the same problem as he/she has got in the first posted. Can add some web pages but not all the web pages I want.. I should have never updated to 3.6.13... That's when it all started for me, from that version..... Now Version 3.6.14 is out, I was hoping the version 3.6.14 might would fix the problem wrong again....
Funny thing is i can not even Bookmark Firefox.com!!!!!...lol
So any ideas on how to fix it other than the link giving would help.

I cannot install updates on my macbook and itunes no longer works.
I have a macbook that is 3-4 years old. Recently it stopped booting up at all, however was able to restore using original discs. However, my itunes doesn't work and I cannot install any updates at all. I can download the updates from apple, however, once finished it won't install. The installer utility pops up onthe task bar for about 1 second then disappears. I get no error messages or anything. Same thing for when I try to open itunes...the icon bounces once on the taskbar, but nothing opens. Nothing happens. I think the hard drive may be going bad. Can anybody help me with this? <Edited by Host>If that was the only machine you've installed it on, just throw the disks in the new machine and install away. All of Adobe's CS and CC software licensing allows you to have it installed on two machines.
If it's older CS software, you would need to install it on the same kind of OS (Mac or PC), but CC software doesn't have that limitation. If you're a CC subscriber, just download the CC Desktop App and install from there no matter which OS you have.
If you get a "Maximum Activations Reached" error, you'll need to call Adobe to have them clear that issue up if the old computer is completely un-salvageable. If you can still fire it up, just open DW on the old machine and choose Help > Deactivate before installing on the new machine.

OK, I understand that this is probably not possible, and that I'm only out $1.29 at the worst, but here goes. I listened to the preview of a tune, and it sounded like what I wanted, but it turns out to be one of those remixes. What I'd like to do is
