Cannot install intel widi software on T530 - i7-3520M, NVS 5400M & HD 4000, Intel N6300

Hi, I recently bought a T530, when I placed the order, I contacted Lenovo support that my machine supports widi.
Here is the spec:
CPU: i7-3520M
Video card: NVS 5400m And HD Graphics 4000
Network: Intel Ultimate 6300N
My machine comes with Win 8 on 500G HDD, I replaced the HDD with 256G SSD and installed win7 on the SSD.
I downloaded widi software fron Lenovo site (actually tried the one on Intel as well, same result), I got this message:
The platform is not compatible with Intel WiDi or the application is in use, please see log for more details"

So, how can I get it working?

I'm not quite sure if this will work for you, but when I bought a NetGear PTV3000 Wireless Display Adapter, I could not get the Intel WiDi software to connect to the NetGear.
I found that the problem was with the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi software. When you install the PROSet driver, you *MUST* install the "Intel My WiFi Technology" or else the Intel WiDi drivers will not find the WiDi displays.

I installed all Drivers from the Page, but I cant install the WiDi Software, it says every time that my System was not compatible!!!

To use Intel WiDi the notebooks hardware has to meet some requirements.

Application catalog error - cannot install or request software.

Hi All,
I have installed SCCM 2012 SP1 and configured SCCM APP catalog, i am able to browse the portal from a client machine, the portal shows the application which are deployed but when i send a request for the application and after administrators approval
the the app catalog is not able to download the application and the portal shows
"cannot install or request software error message"same is happening with the application without request policy.
What i have tried :-
1. Adding the App catalog URL to the LOCAL Intranet zone.
2.Reinstallation of Application catalog.
But it shows the same error please help.

Seems like it was an MP issue, my MP was not working.
I did the following things :-
1. Remove App Catalog roles.
2. Uninstalled Management Point.
3. Uninstalled IIS.
4. System Restart.
5. Installed IIS.
6. Installed MP.
7. Installed App catalog roles.
Now, it's working.

Cannot install BB Desktop Software v7.0 on Windows 7

I downloaded the new Desktop Software v7.0 B44, but cannot install it. When I double click on the file (700_b044_multilanguage.exe) it starts extracting itself, and it stops half way (while unzipping Data1.cab) and a message comes up saying "Zip damaged: file Data1.cab: Bad CRC".
Anyone else has the same problems? Please advise. By the way, I'm using Windows 7, in case that makes any difference. Thanks.

Cannot install Airport Extreme software on my HD

I bought an Airport Extreme unit from someone who had it for quite some time but never used it--opened the software and tried to install on my iMac G5 HD.
It will go no further than the destination volume--when I tried to install I got this message:
You cannot install Airport on this volume.
This update requires Mac OS X v10.1 before this software can be installed..
So I tried installing all the listed updates and still no luck. Any suggestions?
How am I supposed to go backwards to install old software versions just to update to current status?

I cannot install a music software (from east west) in my second Hard drive

I have a mac with two hard drives.
The second drive is partitioned into two data drives.
Whenever I am trying to install a new software it gives me only the choice of installing it in the main hard drive (boot drive that came with the mac).
The other two partitions of the second hard drive show a red exclamation mark.
The reason I do not want to install the software to the old hard drive (boot) is only because there are 50GB left and the software I need to install is 117GB!
Please help me figure out what is the problem.

You mean to clone the existing boot drive so one of the partitions is a boot drive?

If yes, I did it and it did not work..
Some installers require that the drive be the active startup disk. Restart the computer with the Option key held down, click on that drive, and press Enter.

Cannot install usb print software on mac for EA4500 usb printing

When I try to install the USB software "CiscoVUSB" on MacBookPro running OSX10.7.4 I receive the following error:
"The following installation step failed: run postinstall script for Cisco VUSB Installer. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
Spent over an hour with support last night w/o any help and issue was escalated. Waiting to hear back from them w/in 24-48 hours but thought I'd try my hand here to see if anyone has had similar issue/solution.

Please help ! I cannot install any new software !!!

I've been trying to re-install my softwares I need to work with on my mac book after my HD died saturday before I went to work.
I've looked online, and I did some trick such as repair disk permissions, install and re-install stuffit, it still does not do.
Now I cannot unpack .mpkg or .pkg files. This is a big problem since my softwares for work must be reinstalled asap.
I also saw online that there should be a program called installer in the lap top, but I cannot find it anywhere.
Please any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what double clicking on it did to the macbook, but now I have finally been able to install all my plugins.

Cannot install windows support software

1 month old MBP running 10.7.1 trying to BootCamp Win7 Ultimate x64 (all OSX updates have been installed that were found prior to attempted install)
Some help would be greatly appreciated.
I have installed Windows to a BootCamp partition but I'm unable to boot that partition now, all I get is a blinking cursor. If I hold control to select the boot device and select Windows, it doesn't work and was starting the white screen/blackscreen/cursor loop (now resolved by selecting Macintosh HD as my default startup device but highlights the issue)
I downloaded all the support software via the BootCamp assistant, and have a copy on CD and also on a USB key.
I take it with my limited Mac knowledge that the support software needs to run in windows rather than OSX (.exe file) however I can't get as far as getting Windows to boot. I have tried leaving the installation disc in the drive ad doing start up repair but that doesn't work either.
Can anybody offer some pointers please?

Helps to make clearer: you installed Windows 7 Ultimate, but it won't logon.
(all OSX updates have been installed that were found prior to attempted install)
Which other than Boot Camp Assistant, means zilch - OS X is needed only to put drivers on USB.
Ultimate x64? why? free? download? burned ISO? most don't need it, and of course the retail costs. Most users will never need more than 16GB RAM and Home Premium is fine (Pro for dual processor people).
Too small a partition could be one. 50GB is a good start. Less than even 40GB could be a non starter.
You need 10GB to play with to install all the updates. Room for apps, data, and cache. 3x the amout of RAM for page, hibernation.
A bad burn ISO.
Ideal would be Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, whether System Builder ($99) and above.

I hope you are still here Grommit.
The reason why the new Creative Software Suite will not install is because the firmware you have is not the version the suite is looking for.
If you want to install the new Suite, you will have to update to the PlaysForSure firmware (2.0.03, I believe). However, if you do this, be aware that you will also have to download and install the latest Zen Driver, Creative MediaSource, and Zen Plugin for the MediaSource (all available in the download section) - also, once you start the firmware update on the Zen Xtra, you WILL NOT be able to revert back to a previous version of the firmware, and the drivers and programs on the install CD will not function with the new player at all.
Unless you use a subscription service with DRM mp3s, or have had issues with Playback Errors in certain mp3s, there is very little immediate need to upgrade.

I'm trying to install an older version of a particular software, but mac says newer version is found and would not let me install it. So what should I do?

You will need to uninstall the newer version so that the older can be installed. Whether you can get around it by shifting the newer version to another folder I can't say. If you have the installer for the newer it shouldn't matter if you trash the application.
