Cannot Install iTunes after Update Error Code : -3

When I attempted to update iTunes to version 6.0.5, the iTunes part installs fine and then when the quicktime part is very close to finishing and I get an error saying
QuickTime installation failed:
Error Code : -3
Then, when I try to open iTunes I get an error message saying
QuickTime Unavailable
QuickTime was not found.
Quicktime is required to run iTunes. Please reinstall iTunes.
I have tried installing the standalone Quicktime installer but when i try that it says the the ISScript.msi is outdated and that I need to install the lastest version. I have no idea which one I am supposed to install because there are a lot of different ones.
Any help is appreciated.

I cannot download the new update - Error code: 43 -- what does that mean?

    Hi Arjun,
From the cc app the preferences option is greyed-out, so I'm not able to sign out and in... yes I'm aware I'm able to update from the app directly.  The issue I found in the past is when I updated Lightroom from Lightroom itself, the cc app did not see it as being updated... still saw it as the earlier version.  So the app said there was an update and I was trying to go into cc to perform the update instead of the app....
Would be interested in hearing more about the error 43 from Adobe...
I'm attaching two screen shots, one of the error and the second of the greyed-out preference option.
    Thanks,

  • Unable to install Windows 8 updates error code 0x800736B3 and 0x80246007.

    Hi
I am having issues with the Asus Transformer tablet/laptop TX300CA.
It comes with Windows 8 Pro.
After downloading windows 8 updates, it doesn't want to install all of the software updates.
I received an error code such as 0x800736B3.
    Can anyone help???
Is there methods to solve this issues???

    Andre,
Can't do that now. The owner is giving up with Microsoft and stick with his trusty MAC OS X!
His Asus Transformer TX300CA indeed have Windows 8.1 driver support. I did check with ASUS website.
However I did many tests base on Microsoft Support Knowledge base.
I even try the Microsoft Fix it. It too didn't work.
The Asus Transformer TX300CA is using Windows 8 Pro OEM version.
There is a possibility that his Windows 8 is corrupted.
I try to find the  "C:\Windows\winsxs\poqexec.log". No where to be found.
The strange part is The ASUS Transformer TX300CA cannot install any updates patches of Windows 8!!!
I come to know that many people are having this issues regardless which laptop brand they are using.
However I did it with ease on a Lenovo laptop.
The process of having upgrading to Windows 8.1 via Windows Apps Store is very tedious and long process. It's very very slow. Not unless you have a High Broadband speed.
It's very time consuming. It's not a good method of upgrading to Windows 8.1.
My Suggestion to Microsoft to release a FREE DVD upgrade disc to all of it's customers.
You have to bare in mind that not everyone in the world is using a High Speed Broadband network.
In some country they still using a clunky old 24,33.6,56K modem.
How are they going to do the 3.8GB of upgrade to Windows 8.1. It will take them months to complete the tasks.

  • Cannot install iTunes, Windows 7; error 7

I downloaded the last iTunes update and since then, have not been able to open iTunes.  I have followed the instructions from the community posts about uninstalling iTunes and all the ancillary programs several times and still cannot open iTunes.  Each time I reinstall, I get an error message about the Apple Mobile Device Support and the install stalls.  I cannot get past it.  If I hit ignore and let the install finish, I end up with error message iTunes not installed correctly, please reinstall Error 7.
I run Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop.  All of my Windows updates are current.
Please help.  I can't back up my iPhone b/c my settings are for backup on computer.  I cannot backup on cloud b/c of this.  Because I cannot backup, I have updated my software on the phone yet.
    In backup/upgrade limbo.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Can't Install iTunes or Quicktime Error Code 2356

    Hi!
I cannot for the life of me install either Quicktime or iTunes. I haven't been able to for a long time, which was never a problem, until I got a new iPod and iTunes wouldn't let me sync the two them until I installed a newer version. I have read many posts + looked all over the internet and can't seem to solve the problem. I have run a registry cleaner. I have removed iTunes, Quicktime, and anything related. I have tried to download quicktime as a stand along program. Everytime I try to install these programs I get a message about an error code 2356. Has anyone ever had a problem like this or have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Thanks for taking the time to try and help me. I have tried that. The program will actually not even download on my computer (Windows Installer Cleanup). I get this error message...
    Windows Script Host
    Script: C:\DOCUEME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000.TMP\StartMsi.vbs
    Line: 1
    Char: 1
Error: ActiveX component can't create object: 'Scripting.FileSystemObject'
    Code: 800A01AD
    Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error
I am sure the problems are connected.... or maybe not. I do not know. I have looked online about this problem and see a few different solutions, but didn't want to try anything, because I do not want to make things worse on my computer. Do you know what this means or how to fix it?

  • ITouch won't sync/play thru iTunes after update, error message displayed

I recently updated to the newest iTunes software program on my Windows XP, and ever since I haven't been able to play my iTouch music through iTunes. I have tried reinstalling iTunes, but to no success.
Every time after I download, I open up iTunes to play music from my iTouch thru iTunes, but am presented with this error message (it has no number, just a small box with iTunes logo at the top and a yellow error triangle): "This iPod could not be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install iTunes again." This is now the 3rd time to have completely removed iTunes, restarted the computer, redownloaded iTunes and again restarted my computer without any success.
    Any ideas or help?

Small update.....I took my Touch to the Genius Bar yesterday, told them about the issue and they just gave me a new Touch. That's awesome and all, but I still have the problem. I guess it's on my computers end but what I don't understand is why does it work once, then never again?? Help?!?!?

  • Cannot Start iTunes after update

    Hi all,
I recently tried to update iTunes to version 10.5.2- I uninstalled the old version (10.5) and downloaded and installed the newest version. However after installing iTunes 10.5.2, when I tried to run it I get the following error:
"iTunes helper was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7"
    followed by:
"iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows Error 126)."
I Googled the error and found some suggestions to repair Apple Application support from the Programs and Features Control Panel, and to re-install the .NET Framework 4.0. After doing that I no longer get the first error but I now get this: "The program can't start because icuin36.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I also still get the second error.
    EDIT: I am on Windows 7 x64.

Hmm! I wonder if there are windows system file corruption that prevent you from completing the install.
Can you go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
    type in
    sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
Restart the computer if it did actually repair any files.
    Then do the install.
    Good luck.

  • I cannot install itunes. The error message telss me I need a CD

I am unable to install itunes 10.5.  I am asked for the CD to provide a needed file.  I cannot uninstall the prior version of itunes.

    Hey sndlot,
Follow the steps in this link to resolve the issue:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so arearticularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

As I tried to update my iPhone3GS to 4.3, I get a message that says "the iphone could not be updated. an unknown error occurred (1013)"
Obviously, all the data got erased, and on connecting the iPhone again to iTunes, the message appears stating that the iPhone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. • HT2311 I'm trying to re-install Itunes after an error. I now keep getting a message "Error 7 (Windows error 126) so what do I do next?

    Error 7 (Windows error 126)

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • I cannot install iTunes on my computer, Winows 7. Error code -45075

I cannot install iTunes on my computer. Error code -45075

I used to have the same problem, and found a solution. It is very simple, ,just follow these steps below
Open the 'computer' file, found on start or might be on your desktop.
Click the C: drive, found on the left where theres a list of things such as favorites, desktop, etc
    Locate 'Users' and open it.
    Click your username
Go to AppData. (if its not there: on top, where theres 'File | Home | Share | View', click view, and then on the Show/Hide column, place a check by Hidden Items)
    Click 'Local'
    Locate Temp, and click it.
Highlight all the files and delete them. There might be some that you cant delete, but thats fine, just click 'skip'
Restart your computer, and it will be fixed!
    Hope I helped
