    Hey Roderick136,
If you haven't encountered issues previously, then I would try following the steps in this link:

  • Cannot Install Latest Version of Skype - Presumabl...

I presently have version 6.18. When I try to install latest version I get a message "cannot open HKEY\LOCAL\MACHINE32\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Feature Control\FEATURE_MAXCONNECTIONSPERSERVER".
When I check the registry I do not even have a MAX_CONNECTIONSPERSERVER key under Feature Control. I've tried adding it but do not apparently have the permission level.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Try this  Lessmsi  method:

Be aware that if you want to install the currently latest 6.22.81.104 version, then you should use SkypeSetup_6.22.81.104.msi file in order to extract Skype.exe and Login.cab files.

  • Cannot install latest version of iTunes 10.6.

Running 64 bit Windows Vista Home . Failed to install latest version of iTunes 10.6 with error message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.......click OK , or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes64msi"
After using this source in the box below and clicking OK it comes up with another error reading: "the file C:\Users|My name\AppData\Local\Apple Software Update\iTunes64msi' is not a valid installation package for iTunes. Try to find installation package 'iTunes64.msi" in a folder from which you can install iTunes".
As I could not find this file I then uninstalled iTunes, Bonjour, Apple Software Update, Apple mobile device support, and Quicktime and all related files as instructed from iTunes support page and tried to re-install all again. Unfortunately they all installed except iTunes which came up with the same error messages again.
Is this an Apple or Windows problem?...........HELP!

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.......click OK , or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes64msi"
    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • PLEASE HELP!! Cannot install latest version of iTunes!

I know there are loads of questions on a similar theme but I am completely NOT technical and I find them really hard to follow. I use Windows 7 and until now I have had no problems with iTunes. I was bought a new iPod Nano and I couldn't use it until I had updated to the latest version of iTunes. When I tried to do this it wouldn't let me, I just got an error message. I have subsequently backed up my iTunes library, uninstalled iTunes and tried to install the latest version, I get the same error message:
An error message occurred during the installation of assembly ‘Microsoft. VC80.CRT.type=”win32”.version=”8.0.50727.6195”.publicKeyToken=”1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b ”.processorArchitecture=”x86’”. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070002
I'm completely stuck now, can't even use my old iPod as I have no iTunes. I'm sure you're going to tell me to look in Windows Update - I did this but didn't have a clue what to do with that I found there! This is SO frustrating, I wish I'd just stuck with my old iPod.
    Please help!

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour and QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

when i try to install the latest version of iTunes this's the message i got this iTunes installer is intended for 32 bit version of windows> Please download and install the 64 bit iTunes installer instead

    *Replying to Karen*
I had a look at the updates and all the codes are the same expect for the office genuine the code is 80070643.
Is that an Office 2003, Karen? If so, perhaps try *Methods 1 or 2* from the following document:
[You receive an "Error 80070643" error message when you try to update Office 2003 by using Software Update Services|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903772]
(Let's not try Method 3 at the moment ... a bit nervous that we might not be able to get it to reinstall given how grumpy Windows Updates and iTunes are being over installing.)
If you can get your Windows Updates for your Office going through properly, do the other failed Windows Updates start installing as well? If so, stock up thoroughly (just keep going to Windows Update and installing things it offers to you until you don't get offered any more) and then try another iTunes install. Does that go through properly for you too?

I am trying to install the latest version of flash into my Windows 7 OS but when I hit install I get a message saying that the file sliptr.dll is missing. I can't, from your post.

  • When I try to instal latest version of iTunes onto my computer I get error messages, and then the only way for me to access iTunes is to do a System Restore to and earlier restore point

When I try to install the latest version of iTunes, during the installation I get error messages saying that a program is trying to change registry and the installation is stopped.
After this happens the only way that I can open iTunes is to do a 'system restore' to an earlier time.
Has anyone else experienced this and can you help?

Could you please post the exact text of the error message or provide a screenshot?
There is advice on issues with the update at  Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. One of the entries in the further information section refers to a possible registry permissions problem which might be what you are seeing.

    Hello PaulHeartattack,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
    Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
    1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
    2. Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled
    3. Reinstall iTunes and related components
If the Apple Mobile Device Service still will not start, this could be caused by third-party security software. Please follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Cannot install latest version of Flash Player

I started a new thread on this because the error message I am getting I haven't seen anywhere else.  My system is Windows 7 64bit.  I use IE8 32 bit.  Have tried most of the suggestions out there.  Shockwave is enabled.  Have both 32 bit and 64 bit Java.  Other Adobe products install fine.  But when I try to install Flash Player here is what I get:
C:\\sysWow64\Macromed\flash\flash util 101\ActiveX.exe3 cannot be installed.  When I go to the flash file, it is empty.  I have uninstalled with the Adobe program numerous times.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, I have not created an Administrator account.  I assume that is not too difficult
to do.  From the Administrator account once it is set up, what do I do differently in trying to download Flash Player?

  • Cannot install latest version of Visual studio

    Hello,
I'm trying to install visual studio. So I've downloaded the .exe file on this location: https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/products/free-developer-offers-vs.aspx
When I open the .exe file I get this error message: Setup detected an issue during the operation. Please click below to check for a solution and help us to improve the setup experience.
Can anyone help me with this.
    Kind regards,
    Stef

    Hello Stef,
There are many possible reasons, so as pvdg42's answer showed, we need more details from you to troubleshoot this issue.
For example, one possible reason is on the following thread:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/ca327a20-3b46-4cf9-a2e1-66891a68eaf2/setup-detected-an-issue-during-the-operation?forum=vssetup
Your system may missed something that is the dependency of the Visual Studio Setup.
So please follow pvdg42's answer to share us more details. And you can also follow the following blog:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2899270?wa=wsignin1.0
If you can find any error info from your installation logs yourself.
    Best regards,
    Barry
