Cannot install Pages onn iPad 2?
I tried installing Pages on my iPad 2, and it says that the app required iOS 5.1. Do I not have the required software on the iPad 2? But here it says that the app works on all iPads...?
Open iTunes, connect your iPad, click on the iPad in the left-hand column then check for updates.
iOS updates are free for iPads & iPhones. I think early ones for the iPod Touch were paid.

That's happening because icloud.com is not designed to be viewed from the mobile version of Safari on your iPad, only from your computer browser.* You can still access it on your iPad if you're running iOS 8 by going to icloud.com, then tapping on the address bar where the url is displayed, tap the center of the screen and drag down, then tap "Request Desktop Site" under the address bar at the top. Your profile doesn't indicate what iPad you have. If you are trying to download via 3G, there is a 20MG limit and Pages is 87.9 MG, so it's too large to download over 3G. You will need to download it it iTunes on you computer.
Are you sure you are looking in the correct place in iTunes for the download? Can you try to download again on your computer without getting the "Buy" button? -

Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem. Then try again. -
I understand that once sbuscribed, I can instal pages in more than one device. How do I go about instaling it in mi ipad?..
jamesfern.You can, but only if it is the correct version. If you have the version for your Mac, it will not install on the iPad. You will need to purchase the iPad version separately.

Cannot instal app on iPad because of new iPad software (?)
Hi, we created a folio using InDesign CC and built the app with the DPS App Builder Version 2.9.0 which we updated on Jan. 13, 2014.
We created an App ID for this app, and created and used the Developer mobileprovision and Distribution mobileprovision that we generated for this app. We also made sure that the these mobileprovisions included the devices that we wanted to test the app in. We were then able to create the ipa file, which was placed on the desktop.
The problem is, we cannot test the app in our iPad even though we created a similar app and tested it on our iPad last year. Every time we add the ipa/app to Library via iTunes, it always says "The app [insert app name] was not installed on the iPad [insert iPad name] because it requires a newer version of iPad software."
The software of the iPad we have is version iOS 5.1.1 and it says that the iPad software is up to date. The model is also MB294LL (if that helps at all). I'm guessing this is one of the earlier iPads, if not the earliest one. Also our Digital Publishing Suite is the Single Edition.
Questions:
1) Is the reason why I can't put the ipa file in this iPad because we used a newer version of the DPS App Builder?
2) Was last year's version of the DPS App builder more compatible with the old iPad?
3) If so, is there a way to create the app that will make it compatible with old and new iPads? Still using the new version of the DPS App Builder (Version 2.9.0) and DPS Single Edition.
4) Again, if this is the case, which software of the iPad is most compatible with the DPS App Builder Version 2.9.0?

Cannot open page on iPad 2 when I try to download Apple apps
When I try to get an app I get a message that the page cannot be opened, Safari does not recognize the address but I am in apple.com?
I was looking for a solution to the problem I was having with syncing apps and downloading them. It is pretty hard to find the correct wording to say what you are looking for. My problem was that if I wanted to download a app from the app store it would say "safari cannot open the page because it is invalid", also when I would go into the iPad via cpu and try from there it was all gray and I could not do anything with it.

I bought a new ipad a week back and all iWork apps are free to download for me. But when I try to download the pages app, it downloads up to 3/4th and then stops. On iPad it says 'Pages cannot be downloaded at this time, try again later'. On iTunes desktop it says 'Part of this file may be corrupted'.
I am able to download Numbers and Keynote app but something is wrong with Pages app. This could be the reason why some of you existing users are facing problem after updating the app.
Anybody new users facing this issue?Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

For the past few days, I have been unable to install or update apps on my iPad 2 (running iOS 5.0.1). When I select an app to install from the App Store, it appears briefly on the iPad desktop as if it's about to install and then disappears. I've rebooted the iPad, closed all open apps, and signed out and back in to the App Store. I am connected over 3G and have no other network connectivity problems.
I can install apps fine on my iPhone and I can install updates to apps through iTunes on my iMac with the iPad connected to it.

If you're still having this problem - as I am, please call Apple Support so they can log it in. I spent a lot of time with one of their senior people troubleshooting and at this point the only resolution they can come up with is to do a clean wipe of everything and a new re-install, which is a big undertaking if you have a lot of apps and customizations.
If Apple has enough calls to prove this is not an incidental problem for only a small % users, they can escalate the problem to engineering for possibly an easier fix. -

can not install profile using configuration utlity on ipda2. Worked on first iPad but no other iPad works.

Safari cannot open page because ipad is not connected to the internet
Hi, I updated too iOS7 recently and everything was fine (except iBooks!) until yesterday, when I got the message saying "Safari could not open the page ... because your iPad is not connected to the internet." I'm using wireless connection, and my iMac is working with no problem. Have tried most suggested things here like rebooting, resetting all settings etc. but am getting nowhere. Would appreciate any assistance, Thank you.
reset network settings...settings>gen>reset>reset network..
if that does not work.
backup the device on itunes.
restore with itunes.
setup as new on the device. then try it.
if it works try restoring from the backup,, if it does not work after that then the backup as a bug.
you then would set the device up as new again and just use it without the back up -
Ipad 1st gen. Safari cannot open page because address is invalid. I get this trying to download apps from itunes, infact it will do this under any variable. I have tried copy paste in url but it doesn't matter what i try, safari doesnt allow anyway i try. I have searched answers to this but to no avail.

Yes, I have not made myself clear, I apologise.
I have tried downloading apps from itunes in order to set up a game for my son, when I go to click on a link, be this in itunes, or on the web, Safari revolts back informing the address is invalid. I read by coping a link and pasting into the URL, this would do it, but not so.
My goal then, is to install Minecraft for my son, I would then download an app to allow this but I am unable to get this far due to Safari insulting the address I ask it to go to

MY iPad 1 cannot install any apps
A lot of apps have current versions that require higher iOS versions than 5.1.1
But some developers allow you to download older compatible versions of their apps. If the app is free then try downloading the current version on your computer's iTunes so that it's in your account's 'purchase' history, and then in the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPad see if you can download an older compatible version of the app. If the app is paid-for then try contacting the developer first and see if that will work with their app (and if they have a version compatible with iOS 5.1.1 available) - don't buy the app until you know that it will work.

Attention to the Apple developer, the iMovie which installed to the iPad 4th gen. has a problem when it's opened at the theater page it frequently couldn't be closed down to the home screen. The app page is actually blinking and cannot tap onto anything..
Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
