Cannot install patch upgrades to current Acrobat 11.0.06.70

I have current version 11.0.06.70 on Windows 7 Pro version 6.1 build 7601 service pack 1.
I have tried to auto update, manual update, downloaded updates from the adobe websites -- each time the install gets about half done and bombs out with error 1328; Error applying patch to file c;\config.msi\PT6018.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means and cannot be modified by this patch.  For more information contact your patch vendor.
My user name has administrator privileges.

yes.
also installed several MS Win7 updates, then tried again.  Same old message.

  • Cannot install patches due to pkginfo corrupted

    Hi colleagues,
I have this error when we are trying to install patch bundle on sun480r solaris10:
Cannot find package name, arch or version in pkginfo file /var/sadm/pkg/FJSVfmd/pkginfo.
Cannot find package name, arch or version in pkginfo file /var/sadm/pkg/SUNWaudit/pkginfo.
We have opened a case to our support and advised us to reinstall OS.. Is there any other way to get this fixed?
May I asked your suggestions on this. All opinions/replies are appreciated.
    Thanks!

You might be able to get away with reinstalling the FJSVfmd and SUNWaudit packages if they are the only ones that have this error, but then you run the risk of losing the details of all the patches that have patched those packages. Those patches will need to be reinstalled and since SUNWaudit is touched by kernel patches, this is definitely not recommended, so an OS reinstall would be the safest option.
If the 'pkginfo' command returns an error when run without any arguments, then the /var/sadm/install/contents file may be corrupted, again an OS reinstall or restore from a good backup would be required here.
Alternatively, if you have an identical system, you might be able to copy over the missing files from that system, but note that this is at your own risk as it may result in an unstable and almost certainly unsupported configuration.

  • NEED HELP error messages - cannot install iTunes upgrade

    I'm running Windows Vista.
I've been using iTunes for about a year, no problem.
When I went to download the iTunes latest version I have had nothing but problems. I keep getting this error message on trying to install the upgrade for iTunes, and now I cannot even use iTunes:
iTunes could not be installed because Visual Basic Script (VBscript) is not installed or has been disabled. Make sure VBscript is installed, turn off script blocking in anti-virus and personal firewall software, re-register VBscript, and then install iTunes.
I have no idea what that message means and I need step by step directions on how to find out of perform whatever that message means.
Your help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  • Cannot install a mandatory update to Acrobat. Application does not work.

Using CS6. Windows 7. The problem is identical to the one posted here--screenshots and all: http://forums.adobe.com/post%21input.jspa?containerType=14&container=3254
The main difference is that we're using different OS (he was using XP), and I installed Acrobat as a part of CS6. I was able to uninstall the application through my control panel; not sure how to reinstall and activate/authenticate an updated version now.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank you!

sd.conf is set to scan only lun0 by default, so you would need to mod sd.conf or the sd driver to scan past lun0. i cant say i have hit your situation or tried to do this with an upgrade.

  • Cannot install 8.1.7 update - "Acrobat... is still running"

Running OS X 10.6.1, with Acrobat 8.1.6 Professional.
I have tried both using Adobe Updater, and the standalone 8.1.7 updater, but I keep getting the error
    Close Adobe Acrobat application
The Adobe Acrobat application or the Safari web browser is still running. These applications must be closed before the update can proceed.
Well, both are closed - if I run this update immediately after rebooting, I still have the problem.  Are there certain processes I can quit which will fix this?  Reinstalling the whole app is a real PITA.  Thanks for any assistance.

I believe you and others  have found a bug in the installer.
report what you have here and what you have done.
Also Try installing Rosetta. Its possoble the installer was written PPC code.
Cold comfort to know that... Where do I submit bugs?
The Acro updaters are universal, so: no Rosetta option.

  • Cannot install patch for cs5

While trying to figure out a problem minimizing files, which turned out not to be a problem, I discovered a patch for cs5. I could not install the patch. I then uninstalled cs5, re-installed it, shut off my virus protection, downloaded the patch first with firefox and then with explore and when win zip opens the downlaod and i go to install the patch I get an error message.
I have a Dell Inspioron, Windows 7 Home Premium,
    Any help?
    Thanks

    That was still pretty terse.
It's not a problem to copy the entire log and post it here.  Often times deep in the log there will be an error message that helps identify the problem.
With so little info to go on, these very generic suggestions come to mind:
    1.  Clear your Internet cache and download the update again to ensure you did not get a corrupted copy.
    2.  Close down all other software on your computer while installing, including temporarily disabling your antivirus.
    3.  If you have XP, make sure you're an admin.  If running Vista or Win 7 run the installer As Administrator.
Note:  If disabling your antivirus software helps the install process, you should consider tearing it out entirely and getting a better antivirus package.

  • Update Manager - "Dashes" instead of "Ticks". Cannot install patches.

    Hi All,
I have almost finished patching my x86 Dual Xeon System to the hilt,
However, on my last XSession, it was abruptly cut off during a patch install.
Now ALL my patches (even ones that apply ot my system) have a "*-*" instead of a "*tickable*" box beside them.
I can install them manually, using "*smpatch download*" and patchadd but that takes ages, as there are a lot of patches.
I tried renewing the patch directory from /var/sadm/spool to /export/home/patches in case the spool dir got corrupted.
    Did not help though....
Any ideas on how to get the system to allow me to install them via Update Manager GUI again?
    Thanks
    Michael

  • Cannot install Mavericks, upgraded to Snow Leopard, system identifier 4,1

    Hello all,
I am having issues upgrading to Mavericks.
    I am using a MacBook (purchased in 2008) , system identifier 4,2.
I have successfully upgraded to snow leopard and now running Mac OS X 10.6.8.
When i tried to download Mavericks a message came up saying that Mavericks could not be installed on this computer..although I was advised by apple that i could.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Lida

That is not what the Apple pages say about your Mac and Mavericks.
Personally I would trust that much more then some guy you spoke with.

  • Cannot install patches via Connection Manager or Update Manager

I tried installing 137 outstanding updates via Update Manager, but they all failed complaining about digital signatures not being verified.
Then i tried using the online "Connection Manager". I managed to queue the 137 jobs no problem, but then they have been stuck in a pending state all day. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?
Is there any way I can just download a patch cluster like I used on all the previous versions of Solaris... it would be so much simpler. :-)

  • Cannot install ota upgrade

Hi, i can download it, but get en error when installing:
    assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "A1000F" ||
    getprop("ro.build.product") == "A1000F");
    Regards

    aleheb,
    Let's try this again...
If you go into settings -> about tablet, what is the current build version displayed?
We would assume that the tablet is pulling down the correct region specific image for your system, but confirming that you do have a 1000F and checking the current build might help.   We can then also do a bit of research to see if you are skipping one or more OTAs or if the wrong image is being applied for some reason.
Were you getting to this point from the OTA being proactively applied, or by your going to settings and selecting system update?
I'd like to see what else we can determine before suggesting that you back up your data, and do a factory reset and then try to re-run system update.
    Thanks

  • Cannot install patch for Photoshop CS5

I have downloaded the free trail of Photoshop CS5 and had the 0xc000001d aplication error. I tried to download the 12.0.1 patch, however I get this error: Error loading Updater workflow.

Under some conditions completely removing the app, reinstalling, and immediately running the updater has been successful.  I realize that's not trivial to do.
    Hope it works for you.

  • Cannot Install Cloud: "We are currently experiencing some issues..."

I just bought a Photoshop subscription and the Cloud Installation is having issues. The error message:
"We are currently experiencing some issues, please try again later. If the problem persists, contact customer support."
    I have two questions:
    1. Can I get/access Photoshop without the Cloud?
    2. How long has the Cloud Installation page been down? Do we have an ETA on a fix?
Thanks, I'm just really itching to start drawing.
    -D

It appears to be an issue on Adobe's end:
I tried this on another PC and it's showing up on all of the computers here. I've successfully downloaded it through the Photoshop's CC link, so it appears to be a Creative Cloud page issue.
    Thanks for the help

Do a clean (re)install and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

  • CS5 upgrade messed up Acrobat 9?

I installed CS5 upgrade but now Acrobat 9 is not behaving! The version I currently have on my main machine is 9.3.2. On another machine I have version 9.1.2 and it converted a document from word perfectly. the 9.3.2 conversion is a mess. I have put the 2 pages up: http://kayolson.com/9.1.2.pdf and http://kayolson.com/9.3.2.pdf
Please tell me it's the upgrade as I have tried everything imaginable. Further, I made a mistake when I ordered the upgrade and didn't check the box for the disk product, but download, which I am still in the process of trying to resolve; however, it is impossible to get CS5 off my machine and get back to the old Acrobat.
    Any help is much appreciated!

The syntax '{ HYPERLINK "mailto:[email protected]" }' is the code that Word uses to display entry into custom fields in Word. One gets this type of printout when one sets the print options under 'Tools=>Options' in Word to print the 'Field codes'. You should get the same result if you print the document to your real printer, the Acrobat PDF printer, or use PDF Maker.
You must change this setting in Word.
