Cannot install "VirtualCloneDrive" v.5.4.7.0 = use "Mount" of iso file

Build 9926 has been released, and ther the Japanese language included. That's a happy news for me.
I want to upgrade build 9879 English to 9926 Japanese, and install several softwares in it, with using iso file (without DVD).  So, I want to use "VirtualCloneDrive".
But I cannot install "VirtualCloneDrive" v.5.4.7.0.  It says "Can't open self" [NSIS EEOR].
Are there anyone using a vertual CD software on Windows 10 TP?  Help me, please.
sorry my poor English, and thank you in advance.

Excellent!  Windows 10's "Mount" feature.
In the range of Drive Letters left, we can "Mount" dynamically, one after another.
We're able to have many optical drives, virtually.  I have more love of Windows 10!.
Not a new feature for Windows 10. The ability to mount ISO files natively
was introduced in Windows 8.

I'm trying to mount the OEL 6.4 ISO file which is attached to VirtualBox 4.3.x on my Macbook.
I have OEL 6.4 installed on Vbox, but now I want to mount the ISO. Is there missing tools that need to be installed or something else?

There is no additional software or tools required. The error message means that you do not have the disk image attached to your virtual machine. You first need to attach the iso image to your virtual machine by using the VM devices menu, or by dragging and dropping the iso disk image file onto the disk icon in the virtual machine toolbar. Then you issue the following command:
    mount -o loop /dev/cdrom /media

Basically you make sure you iTunes is up to date. Then you plug your iPad in, open iTunes, click on the name of your device. THen I'd do a backup. Then download and install the update (you'll see a update button in iTunes)

  • Cannot install drivers in win 7 32 bits using bootcamp 4 or 5

    I posted this question yesterday.
anyway, I have a imac midi 2011, 21,5 inches using OS x mountain lion 10.8.2. Manuals say I have to install bootcamp 4, because I install windows 7 profesional 32 bits.
Al follow all this instalation requirements, but when I try to install system say This software is not compatible.
I Downloaded from appel suppor site to PC intel and after I copy the .zip file in a root of USB formatted in FAT 32.
Finally is not possible download any driver. I I want to install an specific driver, is same problem.
I did all this steps but downloading bootcamp 5, and got same results. I understood Bootcamp 5 is only to install win 8 o win 7 64 bit, am I right?
    Thanks for your help
    Gilberto

To teh best of my knowledge, Boot Camp 5 only supports 64 Bit Windows installations (as it is designed for 64 bit hardware).  I dont recall positively, but I believe that Boot Camp 4 supports both 64 bit and 32 bit windows installations, but the installer may default to 64 bit mode.  You may have to extrace the drivers and install them manually in 32 bit mode.

  • Troubleshoot adobe updater.  cannot install updates to 7 adobe apps. Using CS5.

My Automatic Updater returns a message that says, "There was an error downloading this update.  Please quit and try again later."
I've tried 8 different times, "later", but I get the same message.
    Please help.  Thank you.

I haven't heard a word from Adobe support folks, so I assume CS5 is no longer supported.  I did have some success though.  Here's what I did:
Don't check all the apps that need updating.  Do each app one by one.  I was able to update most of them that way.  I hope this helps.  Do let me know how it goes for you both.

  • Installing Outlook 2013 on new computer - can I use 2010 backup/pst files

I am currently using Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 machine but been having some issues and need to do a fresh install and reinstall everything. Once I've re-installed Windows 7, I would like to install Outlook 2013. Do I need to upgrade Outlook 2010 to 2013
on my current install and then save the files/data necessary for the new install or can I save the files/data for Outlook 2010 and use them for Outlook 2013 on the new Windows 7 install?

    Hi,
In theory, we can use the old data file from Outlook 2010 in Outlook 2013.
You can just open the old pst file in Outlook 2013 and then set it as default. Or, you can import it into Outlook 2013. For your convenience:

  • Satellite Z930-14F - cannot install Win 8.1 from SCCM 2012 R2 environment

    Dear all,
Sattelite Z series laptops cannot install OS (win 8.1) from our SCCM 2012 R2 environment.
Either no installation is starting, or pxe boot aborted error is showed.
The environment is used to successfully install OS (win 8.1) on different other vendor computers (dell) and virtual machines (hyper-v and vmware).
I've tried both UEFI and CMS boot options and tried to switch off the secure boot. Please advice.
Also, i've read about the "SCCM installation package for Toshiba". Will it help in my situation or is it just driver packages for SCCM?
    Best Regards, Evgeny.

I guess you are speaking about this Toshiba package:
    http://www.toshiba.eu/services/on-demand/business-computing/sdp120gs-v/
I dont have much experience using such SCCM drive package but it definitely compatible with the Toshiba business notebooks. The Satellite / Portege Z930 belong to the business range and I think the package should be compatible.
This package seems to be for all IT administrators who manage devices on the corporate network with SCCM 2012 R2. Toshiba offers with the new Toshiba SCCM package a solution to integrate other notebook into an existing IT infrastructure quickly and smoothly and all Toshiba Driver and application packages and a demonstration task sequence are integrated.
However, it seems that you could get more details about this package directly from Toshiba [email protected]
By the way: The Win 8.1 installation requires the UEFI mode (in case the UEFI BIOS is available). But booting from another, external source requires the disabled secure boot option.
So maybe you should use the UEFI mode but should disable the secure boot option in order to boot from LAN.

  • Cannot Install Windows 7

I have an Early 2008 MacBook Pro with 10.9.3 installed, that I have been trying to install Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  I have worked with several technicians from Apple but have not been able to resolve the issue.  I have worked on this on and off for several months and of course am somewhat frustrated.  I will give a detailed account hoping someone may have an idea.
I did previously have Windows 7 installed on this laptop but decided to reinstall after upgrading to 250GB SSD and installing memory up to 4GB.  I have confirmed with mfg of the SSD that the drive is compatible with both windows and mac and that there should be no problem with the configuration I am attempting.
I run the bootcamp assistant and select both "Download Windows Support Files" and "Install Windows" options.  The assistant downloads the files to a USB drive.  I set the partition to split equally.  I get a warning that the USB is bootable and the assistant needs to disable that to continue.  I click ok and then continue with the install.  The laptop reboots to the Windows installation media, which is original purchased media, not a burned copy.  The installation says that it cannot be installed on the BOOTCAMP partition because it needs to be installed on an NTFS partition, so I choose advanced, and format the partion.  The installation then continues.  The installation finishes and says that it needs to reboot.
This is when I have an issue.  The laptop reboots to a blank grey screen and thats it.  No further progress.  I have manually rebooted it several times and always get blank grey screen.  If I use option key to load boot manager I get the following options.  Machintosh OS, Windows OS, 10.9.2 Recovery, Windows (DVD), or EFI Boot.  Any selection other than Machintosh OS simply hangs.  The cursor is no longer movable and the boot manager is still displayed.  If I select Mac OS, it will boot back into OSX.
In OSX, I am able to examine the bootcamp volume (now named Untitled after having to format).  The disk does contain Windows files ($WINDOWS.~BT, $WINDOWS.~LS, Perflogs, Program Files, Program Files (x86), Users, and Windows) so it would appear that the installation did proceed and copied files to the drive.
I have attempted the install with both Windows 7 Pro 32bit and 64bit and both have the same problem.  I have even gone so far as to reinstall OSX back to 10.7 and run bootcamp from there, still have the same issue.  I have even tried reinstalling on my old original hard drive to see if SSD was the issue, run into the same problem on original drive as well.
It seems no matter what I have tried, after the windows install I can not get past blank grey screen when trying to boot to windows.
I am open to any and all suggestions.  Has anyone out there seen issues like this before?  Any ideas on how to correct?  I would love to have my bootcamp set back up.  Thanks!

Amilixkan, thank you for your suggestion although it sounds complicated and I can't believe that everyone would have to go through that process in order to get Windows running on a brand new Mac that has the latest version of Bootcamp and the support software. As with mjm50322's situation, I never even got to the Windows installer phase of the process so of course can't even boot Windows to try your suggestion.
However, in my specific situation, I'm wondering if, after creating the partition and restarting, my computer can't see my external optical drive even though it does show up in Finder when booted to OSX. After the restart, when I got the black screen with the blinking cursor, there was absolutely no activity on my external drive. I could feel the disc inside was spinning but there was no activity on the read LED on the drive and of course nothing happened on screen. So, your suggestion of using two USB drives, one with the Windows ISO file and the other for the Bootcamp software support files may be a good solution that I will try. That way I'm not relying on the optical drive. While on the phone with a senior Apple Support tech yesterday I already reverted my drive back to a single partition for the time being so I will look into repeating the process trying an ISO file instead of my Windows installation disc. I will report back. Thank you,

  • Cannot install windows, starting to get really pissed off with this PLEASE HELP

ok, i'm starting to get agitated with this.
i cannot install windows XP, 2003, OR Longhorn on my machine.
right now, i have the following setup:
    msi 865pe neo2 motherboard
    intel p4 3.2ghz w/HT (factory HS/Fan currently)

    antec true blue 480wt PSU
    i do the following:
    format with maxtor cd
    boot from OS cd
    start setup, reboot, continue
the farthest i can get is 'registering components/completing installation' i either get a blue screen stop error which isnt the same everytime, or it just locks up and doesnt do anything.
ran the memtest checker and get errors on test #4
i had a DIMM of kingston that gave the same errors, so i RMA'd it and got another. same errors, so i RMA'd again and got a Crucial stick. same errors.

  • Cannot install Windows 8.1 via Boot Camp on MBPr 13" Early 2013; tried almost everything.

    Hi guys,
yesterday, I decided to install Windows 8.1 on my Mac using Boot Camp. I tried to install it, but the first attempt ended into booting to the screen, where it says "Cannot find any bootable device" or something like that. So I googled it up and then tried the EFI Boot. The EFI Boot booted into the Windows installation properly, but I cannot choose the partition I want to install it on. I tried partitioning it in Disk Utility using Tuxera to NTFS, I tried formatting it in the installation itself, always restarted between the processes, I tried to delete the partition and create a new one in the installation, but no luck. I am still stuck on the error "Cannot install Windows on MBR partition. Please, choose a GPT partition". I have a 256GB SSD disk. I browsed the problems and solutions for 3 hours, but no luck. None of the solution helps. The only solution that would work I guess is if I don’t boot into EFI, but into the BIOS installation. But when I do that, I get the "Cannot find any bootable device", so a dead end here. I also tried the tips where they say to remove the USB stick when the Windows installation starts, but didn’t help either.
I am installing using a bootable USB drive, I do not have a Superdrive and cannot even lend it or something like that.
I am really desperate, can anyone please help me?
    Thanks in advance,
    DavidKop_

Some people have been successful installing 8.1 (me, for instance) despite it not being supported. However this seems to be hardware dependent.
I would have expected the normal WININSTALL option to be available on a Bootcamp-created USB, not just the EFI boot option.
It really depends on whether Bootcamp is creating a hybrid MBR when it creates the Bootcamp partition. Some later model Macs do not. On the Macs that do not create the hybrid MBR Windows may install in EFI mode.
If you remove everything and stretch the Macintosh HD back to the full size of the disc again then reboot and when the system restarts begin the Bootcamp installation again but do not let it restart at that time, you can then run the following code in the terminal and report its output we will be able to see if a hybrid MBR has been created (this is after the partition has been created by Bootcamp, but before it reboots).
    sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
