I have an iMac for work, a Mac Air for transport and a Mac Mini at home. All 3 are authorized for my iTunes account. I purchased a song from iTunes on my iMac. I then saw it in my available downloads on my Mac Air. I downloaded it. When I tried to play the song, it said my Air wasn't authorized and offered a login for authorization. I logged in and it said it was already authorized, and I still have no access to the song I just purchased. I'm tired of my money being taken for media I have no access to. Any help would be appreciated.

Because the location for each song in your library is on your hard drive. If the hard drive isn't there, how can iTunes play it?
You'll have to move/copy the music from your hard drive to your computer's hard drive.
Basically, EASIEST way to do all this, if you don't care about your play counts, etc...
-Delete EVERYTHING from iTunes, so that your library is now empty.
-Go to "Advanced" inside of the "Preferences" window, found in the "Edit" drop-down. You can also access Preferences by pressing Ctrl+, (Press Ctrl and the comma key)
-Change your iTunes Media Folder Location to something simple, but on your computer. I use C:/iTunes. Make sure "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy files to...." are both checked. You can close Preferences now.
-Now, drag and drop your music from your hard drive into your iTunes library. iTunes will automatically add the music to your library, as you would expect, and also creates a copy of each file to place into that iTunes Media Folder you just created.
Shouldn't have any more problems...

Cannot listen or purchase songs under new layout of iTunes 9.0

Under the new layout I cannot listen or purchase songs. Also the homepage is basically just blank with only the right column with top songs, albums showing. The bizarre thing is that all comes out fine with the pages that have kept the old layout such as iTunesU or some iMix (was even able to download a song). Any help to fix this? Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem and saw this in a previous thread -
1. restored system to yesterday (before I'd attempted the whole update fiasco)
2. backup itunes library
3. used revo uninstaller for a complete uninstall
4. restart
5. run clean install off new installer download (even though logged in as admin, I also used the right click "run as Admin" option for good measure)
And voila upgrade
Yes, it's a pain, but it did work. My best guess is that something was corrupted during the first failed update attempt, which resulted in an incomplete uninstall, thus screwing up the clean install. But that's just speculation...

it might be worth checking your TV settings to see if it has an option for different settings based on whether using the tv speakers or headphones.
Normally you should be able to control the sound via the tv.
Have you tried it without the headphones?

Try resetting you phone by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. If no change you might need to try syncing all your music and TV shows off your iPhone, then sync them back on (be sure they are in your iTunes library before doing so).

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
What happens when you try to sync?
If the songs are not in your iTunes library how do y expect them to sync to the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Cannot listen my songs on itune match

I have my itune match seeing my song list on icloud with my mac air, but i cannot listen or download any of it. it keep on saying i do not have the premisses to do that. The message is:

You need to ensure that you are using the same Apple Id and operating with an account that had the appropriate privileges.

I cannot listen to a song that I purchased and downloaded.

I downloaded an album to my MacBook. For the song I want to listen to the most, Itunes only plays part of the song and then switches to the next song. How should I rectify this situation?

Cannot listen to songs - not authorized

Just bought an iMac i3 and migrated my iTunes library from my old iMac G5.
However I cannot play 40 songs purchased on my iPhone - says my iMac is not authorised. I have authorised my new iMac using my apple user id and it says that I am already authorised when I do it again.
Seems like the songs are listed against an old AOL account for some reason (no idea why as I never purchased them using this id - migration issue?). As AOL is no longer allowed I cannot authorise using my AOL password - so the songs are unplayable.
Any advice?

I tried that but it does not cover the AOL account. As these are no longer used you cannot authorise - so how can I authorise a computer to play a song that is owned (for some reason) by an AOL account?

I have the syncing option unchecked, that is why I do not understand why it is trying to sync.
I am also trying to play songs off my iPod via iTunes.
I also don't understand why I need to have the same songs on my PC if they are on the Shuffle. My songs are on my external hard drive... which I don't always have turned on, or with me for that matter. I certainly don't want to be hauling a hard drive around with me wherever I travel to. I want to be able to copy a small number of my favourite songs onto the Shuffle so I can carry the Shuffle and the laptop around with me and listen to them.

I listened to songs from my iPod mini using mini speakers. After a couple of months, i plugged in the headphones and now no sound is heard. I already tried using the headphones on a CD player and they work perfectly. Please help!

Cannot listen to songs in Musi or libray file
