Cannot load gift card

Go to itunes, go to redeem, try to enter code and ipod resets half way through then retry. any suggestions?

Try:
- Redeeming on a computer
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>Store (or iTunes and App store depending upon iOS version) and sing out and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Cannot buy gift card

I'm trying to buy an e-mail gift card, but iTunes produces a loop with no way out but Cancel.
From the main menu, clicked Buy iTunes Gifts.
Clicked Buy Now next to Email Gift Certificates.
Filled in the form, selected $50, and clicked Continue.
Filled in my Apple ID and password.
On the verification screen, clicked Buy.
Got the verification screen again with a red text advisory to fill in my Apple ID and password and then click Account Info. But there's no interface for doing that.
Checked the previous page, came back, tried clicking Buy again. Same problem. Checked my account settings and verified my credit card info. Tried again. Same problem. Cannot buy gift card.
Any other suggestions?

Check to make sure you're connected to the correct country's iTunes Store. Go to the bottom of the iTunes Store main page (in iTunes) and look for the My Store pulldown and if it's incorrect, change it to your country. Note that the Store you're using must be the same one in which you have your account. You cannot purchase a gift card from another country's iTunes Store.

No you don't need a credit card. That's one of the reasons that people use gift cards. If you have a verified Apple ID, go to the featured tab of the App Store and swipe to the bottom of the screen. Tap on "Redeem" in the center of the bottom of the screen. That is where you enter the code for the card.

Do you have a Credit Card on your iTunes account? If so, it wants that CCV verified....just a verification - nothing else. Your Gift Card will be debited first for any purchases as long as it has a balance.

How to I get my Apple TV to charge to my gift cards already loaded into I-Tunes instead of charging my Visa account?

I found the same issue trying to update pictures for the AppleTV3.
From what I can determine the issue is in iTunes itself not being able to select the new Photos app file format.
You will note that if you look inside your "Pictures" folder there is a new file called "Photo Library.migratedphotolibrary" (which is really a database of existing iPhoto pictures), plus a new file "Photos Library.photoslibrary".
Well, for whatever reason, it appears Apple missed or forgot that iTunes needs to be able to read the new file. Of course you can see your existing iPhoto pictures inside of Photos, but when it comes to being able to select them to share in iTunes, it just is not selectable - so much for the "IT JUST WORKS" factor - yet another defect from my perspective.
Besides this being some form of defect, it really is not intuitive that you have go into iTunes to select photos for the AppleTV. Or, rather it is not obvious as the Apple TV does not show up like the other iOS devices. User Experience (UX) is a hide and seek feature.

Itunes Cannot Finalize Gift Card Purchase - Security Questions

I've already gone to my appleid settings at appleid.apple.com and set the answers for five questions, reset my password, added a recovery email, and scoured the internet for other solutions, and yet still when I click the buy button on the email gift card, I get the same message repeatedly. "To help ensure the security of your Apple ID, choose three security questions and answers."

That would be nearly impossible. There's so many. If you scroll up towards the top of this page on the right side there's a box that says "More like This" and if you go further up to the search box and type in "3 security questions" they all come up.
The common solution is to manage account through appleid.apple.com by going to Password and Security on the left side of the screen. Supposedly 3 questions are just supposed to be there however, like many of us there is only one security question offered. This must be problem with Apple itself so the only thing we really can do is try contacting them and hope they respond...

I cannot redeem gift card

Whenever I try to redeem my gift card, it asks me for my password. When I type it in and submit, it clears the field. My gift card balance shows as $10 in the corner by my name. ???

I have finally figured out this very frustrating situation. Ok I had the same problem, I have a $16.00 balance but when I click on the price next to the item I wanted to purchase it said "do you want to buy" I said yes, then it asked me to verify my billing information...which is stupid because I'm paying with a gift card. So just say "yes" to the billing info and when it pulls up your information just click the "NONE" as your payment option next to all the credit card options. Then click "done" and then it will let you purchase with your gift card. Really weird and frustrating. Hope this helps some people.

I had the same problem and I solved it by redeeming my iTunes gift card on my iPod Touch. Doesn't really fix the problem, but I found a way around it!

Cannot send gift card when I have a iTunes credit balance

Hi,
I understand that you can't gift iTunes credit to somebody else, but is there any way to bypass your credit?
I gifted an album to somebody yesterday, and it automatically bypassed my credit and charged it directly to the credit card associated with the account. No problem. But when I tried to also send somebody a $25 credit, it wouldn't let me. Why doesn't iTunes bypass my credit in this situation as well? Is there any way to force it to ignore the credit?

Cannot redeem gift card

I entered the code for a $25 gift certificate which was accepted and a $25 credit is displayed. However, it will not let me purchase anything as it requires updated credit card info. I do not want to charge a credit card, I want to use the account credit. I can find no help on the site or any way to contact apple or itunes. How can I use the credit?

Sounds like you have a CC entered in iTunes and that CC has expired.
You will need to remove the CC from your iTunes account. Select None as a payment option.
If it is expired, for some reason it seems you need to enter a valid CC number before you can then remove it.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with gift card issues. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
If you can't redeem your iTunes Gift Card or code
Contact iTunes Store Support
If the code is completely scratched off or you still can't redeem your gift card, contact iTunes Support:
Go to the iTunes Store support page and choose your country.
From the menu on the left, choose Contact Support.
Click Contact iTunes Store Support.
Follow the instructions.
iTunes Store Support might ask you to send these things:
Image of the full front and back of your gift card
Sales receipt showing when your card was purchased
Serial number from your gift card
