Why does itunes not lauch on ipad 2 after iOS 7 upgrade?
I had the same problem as kurt185. But now I found the solution. It is a bug in the iTunes app:
You have to go to Settings>Safari>BlockCookies and must change from "Always" to "From third parties and advertisers".
After that iTunes works perfectly.

IPad not visible in iTunes 10.5 after iOS upgrade yesterday
Yesterday I installed iTunes 10.5, connected my iPad 1 and upgraded to the latest ios 5.0. It eventually completed installing and restoring, but reported one app that didn't restore. So today I reconnected the iPad to the same port on the same Mac Pro with the same cable, and now cannot see it in iTunes. Both the iPad and iTunes seem to otherwise be working properly and I have rebooted both the iPad and the computer. Am I missing something?
Maybe that's why I got lucky? I have 10.7.2. I have to tell you howeer that I did not check any check box in settings on the Notebook to enable Wifi sync, or in iTunes on the notebook. I did have options when setting up the iPad and I selected sync with computer rather than back up to cloud. Maybe that is another difference? I feel feel fortunate that as I type this my iPad is syncing over wifi and you're all having trouble.
Just to confirm I have iTunes 10.5 MacOSX 10.7.2 and iOS5 installed on the iPad. I'm going to dive in and do the phone now too. I will report any troubles, or pay more careful attention when the iCloud settings and set up come on the screen. Maybe I did something else I don't remember. -

After I upgraded to iOS 7.0.2 I can't sync iPad mini with PC (on Windows XP). I keep getting the folowing message: "The iPad could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchase items on this iPad". I tried everything:
1) De-authorizing and rebooting (about 100 times);
2) De-installing and reinstalling itunes;
3) Deactivating the firewall;
4) Run Diagnostics (result - all works fine including sync);
5) Tried to look for the "SC info" directory or file everyone is referring to in the Computer (Hidden files) of the iTunes directory - nothing;
6) Ticking and unticking the |Sync over Wi-Fi" option;
7) Changing backup from iCloud to this Computer and back.
I am using the admin account on my PC - doesn't help.
I cannot sync anything at all.
BTW - on the PC and on the iPad - everything that is there plays OK. I can get stuff from iStore both from iPad and from the PC - but I can't sync the two.
It looks like an iOS 7 bug to me - any ideas or advice?

D.No I have tried multiple connections, at home, at work, and even at my church but to no avail. For example I have recently purchased a CD from Itunes using my computer, but my ipad will only play it from the cloud. I've tried to download straight from my Ipad and that too does not work. When ever I try to plug the Ipad into the computer a window pops up and says that the sync has failed. If I try to drag the file to the Ipad it will say it's loading than just quit before it transfers. hmmm. I hope they get this bug fixed some. would really like to have that CD to isten to on the go. Another issue I am no having is the apps are having trouble updating. I have tried to turn off auto update and do it manually and that too is failing.

Trying to reinstall apps on ipad after ios upgrade but not downloading.
Just upgraded both my ipad 1 and iphone 4 to iOs 5 and both had all the apps deleted after the upgrade. I'm manually reinstalling the apps but while the apps download and install fine on my iphone they are hung up in the "waiting" mode on my ipad. Checked and the ipad is connected to the internet since I can surf the web still on the ipad. Anyone else having issues like this?
Change to the correct store this way.
Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID
Tap your ID
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Go to country/region in the popup window to change the store.
Or swipe down to he bottom of the App Store in the featured tab and tap on your Apple ID. Sign out of your ID and then sign in again and see if that changes the store for you. -

I can connect okay in the Apple store, but not on any other WiFi network. This is really annoying when trying to show the problem to them!
I have reset my iPad2 to factory settings, but it still won't connect.

BT email not working. Cannot send emails from btconnect SMTP after iOS upgrade. This is the only difference I am aware of. Apple iPad 3. Can anyone help me please.
All resolved at last
Deleted the SMTP setting
Recreated the SMTP using the same settings
Able to send emails now
No logic - as usual - just a bug! -
PAD Mini Locked after iOS upgrade, tried reset on iPAD did not work, plugged in and device not appearing in iTUNEs for reset/restore. Just get an Apple Logo then a flashing blue screen as if it is caught booting up. This has happened twice before and iTunes restore fixed it. But this time device not appearing in iTunes.
Running iTunes for PC. But as stated restore has worked before! Any help greatly appreciated!!Place the device in DFU mode and let iTunes restore the device to factory condition.

I bought a Sandisk Connect Media Drive, downloaded the app from iTunes. Before iOS 8, movies played fine. After iOS upgrade I can no longer play movies downloaded from iTunes to the media drive. Anyone else have a similar issue?
I checked with SanDisk's own online support and they indicate that they have notified Apple of the issue.
According to SanDisk, the problem lies with Apple not having the iOS 8 version of the Safari browser having DRM decoding enabled that the Media Drive relies upon to decode and play iTunes DRM titles. Non DRM encoded videos will play in the browser.
DRM audio is not effected as this is handled by the native iOS music app.
As of the date of this post SanDisk have not been given a timeframe by Apple for this issue to be resolved.
I hope that Apple resolves this issue quickly as I have a large collection of DRM video titles on a 128Mb memory card installed in the Media Drive that I am unable to view. -

Problem still exists in that I just imported a lot of my cd's into my ITunes library in ACC format but the IPod will not sync the new stuff. I've checked that the IPod has the latest software and recently updated to the newest version of ITunes. After getting the IPod to sync I get a warning that a lot of files could not be found. They all show up in ITunes and play fine.
Is there a way to identify the location to the IPod where these songs are. They are in the same location as everything else on my external hard drive. I've spent hours trying to resolve this and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks again. -

Hi mike,
Seems like a frustrating problem! Try restarting your device, and trying again. If that doesn't work, in settings, under store, tap your apple id at the bottom of the page, and then sign out. Sign back in again, and try again.
Also, check you have enough remaining space on your iPad for the app you want to download, you can do this in settings, then general, then usage.
I also reccomend buying the app in iTunes on your computer, and then syncing it to your device.
Let me know how you get on, and I'll get back to you with further help if needed,

I have a problem with an iPad 2. After the software upgrade to iOS 5 the APN settings keep resetting all by themselves (I set the APN, I get out of the setting by pressing the back arrow on the top left of the screen, I get back in there and the APN setting is gone). Of course, the internet connection si not working. I've seen other people having the same problem on their iPads after the upgrade.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?I too am experiencing this issue - on an iPad 2 using a UK BT DATA plan SIM. This is not an issue with the SIM, as I have tried it in a different iPad and it works without any problems.
I have also tried all recent iOS updates, hoping it would overcome the issue - but no joy.
Can we have some assistance from the fine people at Apple please???

You would think that it must have some effect on the battery, but oddly enough, the update to iOS 8 actually helped my battery life, in spite of all of these hinky little issues that are taking place. In my experience, the activity icon is not affecting the battery in a negative way.
Another issue with IOS 8.1 that you may have seen is the loss of icon pictures on home pages. Again it seems to be Safari related, since app icons found in the App Store are not affected, only web based icons you personally put on home pages. I get what I call a test screen similar to what you used to get on old tv sets on every one of my personal icons.
I know exactly what you mean. I got that as well. On a few of them, when I opened the websites using the generic test screen icons and then closed them, they changed back to the way that they should look. For the ones that did not change, I recreated the home screen shortcuts and deleted the generic looking ones - the test screen icons.
And don't get me started on iBooks.
For the very limited use that I make of the iBooks app, i haven't noticed any problems, but I rarely use the app. I don't read books on the iPad other than a few user guides and if they are pdf guides, they reside in more reliable and feature rich pdf apps on my iOS device.
I wish that I had the fix for the spinning activity icon, but everything that I try, is temporary at best. IMO, this is the buggiest iOS update that I have seen, and I have been using iOS devices since iOS 3 on my first iPad. I realize that there are plenty of people that are not experiencing issues, but I have seen a number of weird things that I wish I could fix. None of my problems are major, but they are annoying.
