  • Why can't I load music onto iPhone 4?

I can't load any music onto my iPhone 4. Here is a screen shot of iTunes which says I have 1.51 GB of free memory and I'm only trying to load a few MB of music onto it. It gives me an error message that I need something like 540 MB more memory. It also says I have a bunch of music on my iPhone which I don't. (I have like 1 song on the phone right now.) What should I do?

Hi, it's not that iTunes doesn't work, but required you more more space for the songs. I think you should try to clean some space and try to sync music to your iPhone again. And before doing the sync, you can check how much space has been taken for music (tap Settings > General > Usage > Music). If you say only 1 song is here, then maybe it only take several KB. If there are other songs, there maybe several MB.

  • I cannot load music onto my iTunes

    Hey all,
I have read the previous threat on troubleshooting ( my itunes wont load music).
I have follwed all the steps, but my itunes wont load the music. Before, I upgraded to the
new itunes the very same files were on my itunes, not only certain songs are showing.
I have tried the add folder to itunes command and selected the files but nothing happens.
    Please help.
    Thanks,

Try to drag and drop music files to iTunes application window. It should automatically copy the files to its default iTunes Media folder and allow you to play music.
    Hope this helps.

  • Loading music onto iPhone from Dell

I have music on my computer that I listen to using iTunes (the latest version), but syncing doesn't put it on my iPhone. I have synced a number of times now, and there is not one song in my phone, even though them in my iTunes files on my computer. Is buying from the iTunes store the only way to get music in my iPhone?

Purchasing music from the iTunes Store is not required in order to transfer music to an iPod or iPhone. I have a number of songs in my iTunes library that were imported from music CDs and they transfer to and play on my iPod and iPhone.
Where did this music originate? Was the music imported into your iTunes library from a music CD?
If so, which iTunes encoder setting did you use for the import such as AAC or MP3?
What do you have selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
Is Sync Music selected at the top and if so, do you have all songs and playlists selected or selected playlists?

  • Can I download music from my PC onto my new iPhone and still have my iPhone use iTunes on my Mac without a problem? I have no music on the Mac because it is new. Can I download music onto iPhone on both PC and Mac?

Can I download music from my PC onto my new iPhone and still have my iPhone sync with my Mac without a problem?
I've had an iPod over a year and have not done much with it except download music onto it from my PC. Just recently have purchased the iPhone.  When I got my iPod I didn't have a Mac, but now I do.  I am really into my iPhone, so now I want to make sure that I don't do anything wrong. So can I connect my iPhone to both my PC and my Mac without it getting mixed signals and stop working.  I have no music on my Mac but plan to download music into iTunes on it.  So can I download music from both computers without problems onto my iPhone?

    StoneMountainGirl,
No. You can only music to your iPhone from one computer at a time.  If you try to load music onto it from a 2nd computer, it will erase the current content on the iPhone and replace it with whats in the iTunes library you are connected to,

  • Is it possible to load music onto an iPod in Disc Mode?

    Hi guys,
Is it possible to load music onto an iPod in Disc Mode?
I recently sold my 5th Gen 30Gb iPod on eBay, about a week later the buyer sent it back claiming it was faulty, he could not switch it on etc etc...
Within a few minutes I had it running again, but was making a clicking sound. So I put it into disc mode, connected it to my G4 and found out that the seller had managed to change the name of the iPod, delete some of my music, load some of their music onto the iPod and play that music.
My question is would they have been able to do all that in disc mode? Or would the iPod have to have been fully functional? Let alone using third party software to extract my songs that were already on the iPod.
I think they received a perfectly working iPod, used it, damaged it, were unable to fix it (couldn't be bothered to find out how) and so sent it back claiming it was faulty all along.
Thanks for any help and advice anyone can give.
    Alex

    Thanks, I realise that now.
It turns out that the buyer reformatted the iPod for Windows.
Would they have been able to do that in Disc Mode?
Or would the iPod have to have been fully functional?
I'm trying to prove that the iPod was indeed fully functional when they received it, because they were able to reformat it, rename it, delete some of my music and load some of their own music.

  • With the new ios7, can I not load music onto my phone anymore?

I've downloaded the new ios7 and now it seems I can't load music onto my phone anymore?  I have a 4s. I plug it in to iTunes and it says that the phone doesn't have a current version of iTunes on it.  I've searched in the app store and can't find one.
Instead I'm stuck with the player trying to play songs through my cloud and it's not even doing that properly.

You will find that it is saying you have an issue with iTunes on Your Computer...
iOS 7 requires iTunes version 11.1 Installed on your computer
    iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download

  • Cannot load music to iPad. there are no devices listed

cannot load music to iPad. there are no devices listed

Thank you. Thank you. Now my IPod shows up in devices and has synced. Thank you!!!!!!!!
Problem still exists in that I just imported a lot of my cd's into my ITunes library in ACC format but the IPod will not sync the new stuff. I've checked that the IPod has the latest software and recently updated to the newest version of ITunes. After getting the IPod to sync I get a warning that a lot of files could not be found. They all show up in ITunes and play fine.
Is there a way to identify the location to the IPod where these songs are. They are in the same location as everything else on my external hard drive. I've spent hours trying to resolve this and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks again.

  • Loading music onto smartwatch 3

    Hi
Has anyone figured out how to load music onto the sw3 4gb internal memory. i have try plugging it into my pc,but it dosnt show up.
    Take care
    Stuart

I had to add music into play music on the Web, download it to the phone from play music, then it automatically downloads to the sw3 when the download to android wear box is ticked. It kept stopping for me at first, I'm assuming as the battery was below 50% but after a quick charge it downloaded without issue.

  • Can't get music onto iphone

I have a whole library of songs on my itunes library. I got them all on my ipod ok but I cannot get them onto my iphone.
    Please help

Have you sync'd your iTunes library with your iPhone? Most of the time music etc. is grayed out for the iPhone/iPod if you have it set to automatically sync. The only time it's not grayed out is if you've checked the option to "manage music manually". That may be why it's not letting you move it over manually. However if you've already sync'd it I don't know why you'd be trying to move stuff over manually anyway.
You can also transfer items you bought on your iphone (like your iBook) to your iTunes library. Just click "File" then click "Transfer items from iPhone".
    Good luck!

  • ITunes 11 does not load songs onto iPhone 4S from XP notebook

I converted songs on CDs we own to MP3 and loaded them onto my wife's XP notebook. iTunes 11 found them and built a library from them. Synchronizing her iPhone 4S through her XP computer does not load the songs onto her phone. When I first synchronized my iPhone 4S through iTunes 11 on my Windows 7 computer, iTunes found MP3 music files on my computer, built a library, and uploaded them to my iPhone without any prompts from me. Why can I not get songs in MP3 to load from my wife's computer to her iPhone?

  • Cannot load ANYTHING onto Shuffle - Error -50 message.  Please help !

Hoping some kind soul can help me as I'm out of luck googling the problem.
It started when I tried deleting songs from my IPod Shuffle 1st Generation (1.1.5), ITunes would freeze & then the songs would disappear from the listing, but the capacity would stay the same. Once I disconnected/reconnected the IPod, the songs would reappear again - they were not deleted.
Followed online help to restore the IPod via the Reset Utility - this worked & wiped the IPod clean.
But now, the IPod will not load ANYTHING onto it ! It comes up with the error message :-
"ITunes could not copy 'xxx' to the IPod 'xxx' because an unknown error occurred (-50)"
I have followed Solution 1 (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1539) with no result & cannot think of anything else to try.
This problem has only occurred since I ran the latest ITunes update (9.2.0.61). Coincidence ? Or just my old IPod ?
Any help gratefully received as now IPod-less

I’ve recently had the same problem and I spent hours and hours and tried everything suggested by Apple’s support pages (including, ironically, downloading the latest version of iTunes), all to no avail. Having read this forum I thought I’d try downloading an earlier version of iTunes. It works! You can find earlier versions at www.oldapps.com – I downloaded v9.0.1 (September 2009 version). But I hit a small problem – couldn’t then open it! A dialog box popped up with ‘Cannot open iTunes as file “iTunes Library.itl” was created in a later version of iTunes’ (or words to that effect). But this is fixable – if you’ve updated iTunes at least once you’ll have an old version of this file on your computer. The current one is in the ‘iTunes’ folder which, on my computer, is in: C/My Documents/My Music. It may be elsewhere on yours, obviously. Open the folder and you’ll see the ‘iTunes Library’ file. Drag this into any other folder on your computer to get rid of it (I created a new folder called ‘iTunes copies’). You should also see a folder called ‘Previous iTunes Libraries’. Look in there for an older file (older than September 2009 if you use v 9.0.1, for example) - it’ll have a date in the title – and just drag and drop it into the main iTunes folder. You’ll then have to rename it – just delete the date so it just says ‘iTunes Library’. You should then be able to open iTunes. It’ll have an older version of the tracks in your library, but any newer additions are still on your computer, in the ‘iTunes Music’ folder within the main ‘iTunes’ folder. You can drag and drop them straight into the library once you’ve got iTunes open. Phew! However, I still couldn’t get the iPod to work properly but at least I wasn’t getting those ‘-50’ messages any more. So I reset it using the iPod Reset facility, ejected/unplugged it and re-booted the computer. Plugged the iPod back in, it opened iTunes and behaved as if it were the first time I’d done it and autofilled the iPod. Woo-hoo! I then got myself a huge glass of wine… Hope this helps! Cheers, Rob.

  • Why is transferring music onto iphone really slow?

for a couple of updates now the moving of music onto ipods/iphones has been really slow, sometimes it adds to the device but remains blacked out on iTunes or sometimes it says complete but hasn't added to the device ?!
what happened to the simple drag and drop? iTunes got so fancy it no longer does the job it was meant to!!

It depends on where you download them from; I have plenty of jazz in Podcast.
