Cannot load pictures from Fuji F10 digital camera onto OSX 10.5.2

I cannot load pictures from my fuji F10 digital camera. The Fuji support site does not appear to have any firmware that would allow compatibility between the two but was wondering if anyone has any ideas. I can't even bring them over using a zip drive because I get an error stating that the files are corrupt. any help is appreciated.

What brand of camera do you have? Perhaps you might take it up with the manufacturer, after all, they are the ones who decide whether to support mounting on the OS X Desktop.
Given the amount of pictures I take, constantly taking my card in and out of the camera puts wear and tear on it,
Using a USB Card Reader is a much better and safer way to transfer your photos:
1. Less risk of your images being lost if your camera shuts down during transfer.
2. It saves the battery on your camera
3. It saves wear and tear on your camera ports - and replacing a worn USB port on a camera is somewhat more expensive than replacing a camera card - and what "wear and tear" is there on a card?
4. It’s almost always faster.

If your camera mounts on the desktop as an external device, then it's as simple as choosing File > Import to Library, then navigating to the camera and selecting the photo you want.
If not, use Image Capture, found in the Applications folder, to import. Save it to the desktop, then open iPhoto and import it. You can delete the first location once the file is imported into iPhoto.
A third way is to use a card reader. It will mount on the desktop, even if your camera does not. With a card reader, you can always preview the files before you import, and select only the ones you want. IMO, it's the best way to import.
Here's one more trick, copied from MacOSXHints.com: "In iPhoto 6.0.4, when you attach a digital camera and see the import screen, press the Return key on your keyboard twice in succession. iPhoto will switch to editing mode, showing all pictures that reside on the digital camera. You cannot make changes to the pictures, nor can you drag the pictures individually to your iPhoto library, but you can see everything on the camera." You are following the correct steps.
Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.
If that doesn't work then try restoring the iPad to the factory settings.

Why does my computer freeze when trying to download pictures from my pentax digital camera?

I am using iPhoto 9.4.3.
Weeks ago, something becomes weird. When I plugged in my iPhone, it begin loading, and when the loading was about to finish, iPhoto would stuck there for a very long time(sereral minutest), and then resumed.
But now, when the loading process ended, it just stops there ,showing 'loading', doing nothing, leaving my mac very hot, and very big fan noise, looking like my mac is very busy..

Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. This was the same prior to photo streaming with iCloud and remains the same since.
With a Mac, you can use iPhoto for the import which also supports iCloud photo streaming, or the Image Capture application.

On Adobe's web site it states the trial version has all functionality. It seems your Samba is denying access to these files & dirs. My best guess would be that either the Samba user is not allowed to write (and read) those (in which case you'd have to modify the permissions accordingly) or Samba sets, when the share is mounted, the permissions such that your user is not allowed to read and write (you may in this case try to just set permissions for you to allow you what you want to do; or use "create mask" or "directory mask" or "writable" in your samba config. ).
Also, what do the logs say about this? According to your samba conf they are in /var/log/samba/%m.log where %m is the hostname or IP.

Do you have a smaller capacity micro SD card to try? I seem to remember from past posts that users were having problems with cards larger than 32GB, however, Apple's page doesn't mention this.

How can i have aperture restart loading pictures from my camera. 2 weeks ago aperture was perfect. thursday aperture stopped loading new pics from the same camera. have done library rebuilds and permissions to no avail. about to trash aperture.

Thank's for the respones. Found out that Aperture runs great on at least 2 gig of ram. Just installed 4 gig. All of my issues have vanished. Moving on the the next day.

Have IPAD 1 and since uploading os5 I cannot upload pictures from my Sony camera. Error message reads the USB is not compatable. I'm not sure about the new os, how do I go back to what worked?

I do not think there will be any way to revert back to an earlier system.
The "current" problem with some cameras and card adapters resulted from Apple changing the amount of current available to USB devices, apparently to prevent them from running down the iPad's battery. It appeared when the iOS was updated from 3 to 4. On my iPad 2, I find that a little bit more current is available now under iOS 5.
One way to get around the problem is by using a powered USB hub. Another is to remove the card from the camera and use the SD adapter from the Camera Connection Kit. If your Sony used a CF card, then you will need to find a CF-to-USB adapter that does not draw too much current. I have one that works, but also have a couple that do not.

The Camera Roll on the phone identifies itself as a Digital Camera to your computer. You don't sync them as you do everything else with iTunes.
You get them off as you would any digital camera.
You don't say what type of computer you have so instructions are different depending on that.
