Cannot load pictures from iPhone

I am using iPhoto 9.4.3.
Weeks ago, something becomes weird. When I plugged in my iPhone, it begin loading, and when the loading was about to finish, iPhoto would stuck there for a very long time(sereral minutest), and then resumed.
But now, when the loading process ended, it just stops there ,showing 'loading', doing nothing, leaving my mac very hot, and very big fan noise, looking like my mac is very busy..

No. I am very glad to help. As a mac new bie, I am just not sure your exact meaning. Do you mean this? I captured a picture. Seems not a lot information.

The Fuji support site does not appear to have any firmware that would allow compatibility between the two but was wondering if anyone has any ideas. What brand of camera do you have? Perhaps you might take it up with the manufacturer, after all, they are the ones who decide whether to support mounting on the OS X Desktop.
Given the amount of pictures I take, constantly taking my card in and out of the camera puts wear and tear on it,
Using a USB Card Reader is a much better and safer way to transfer your photos:
1. Less risk of your images being lost if your camera shuts down during transfer.
2. It saves the battery on your camera
3. It saves wear and tear on your camera ports - and replacing a worn USB port on a camera is somewhat more expensive than replacing a camera card - and what "wear and tear" is there on a card?
4. It’s almost always faster.

It seems your Samba is denying access to these files & dirs. My best guess would be that either the Samba user is not allowed to write (and read) those (in which case you'd have to modify the permissions accordingly) or Samba sets, when the share is mounted, the permissions such that your user is not allowed to read and write (you may in this case try to just set permissions for you to allow you what you want to do; or use "create mask" or "directory mask" or "writable" in your samba config. ).
Also, what do the logs say about this? According to your samba conf they are in /var/log/samba/%m.log where %m is the hostname or IP.

Windows do not repect the digital EXIF specification. Use a free viewer http://www.irfanview.net/ for Windows.

The Camera Roll on the phone identifies itself as a Digital Camera to your computer. You don't sync them as you do everything else with iTunes.
You get them off as you would any digital camera.
You don't say what type of computer you have so instructions are different depending on that.

I see the photos tab and "My Pictures" folder shows. Sync is unselected. It asks if I want to delete the photos when I click on sync and I said yes but it didn't work. It does seem that some photos are removed based on available storage left (decreases). If I select individual folders, subfolders of "My Pictures" then hit Sync deselected Sync doesn't even start.

Yes, I did solved the problem. It was not with iPhoto but with the iTunes. Once I delete my phone profile all worked. I did not write the steps down but if you do it please post it here.

I found a webpage where a user reported the same issue as me.
He said he determined that "foreign pictures" -- meaning any pictures not taken using the iPhone's camera -- were the cause. Once he deleted the "foreign pictures" -- such as pictures obtained from receiving texts from others which included pictures that he saved onto the iPhone, then iTunes worked.
In my case, the fix was to upgrade the iPhone's OS from 5.1.1 to the latest version.
Now, both issues are solved:
Windows recognizes the iPhone as a storage device.
iTunes can see pictures that I've saved on the iPhone.
