Cannot load windows xp but windows 98 runs fine with KM4M-V

Why wont windows xp load into my new motherboard when windows 98 runs fine.
AMD Athlon 2400+
256 mb ram
80 gb Seagate baracuda

As I first said I cannot load windows xp but windows 98 runs fine.
I have formated the drive into ntsc and fat 32 but as soon as the setup process has finished in xp and it wants to load the system posts the Blue Screen of death.
Why does windows 98 run without any problems .I have checked memory ,ram,pro and hdd but all are fine.This one puzzles me!!!.
I understand from other feeds it could be the power supply not beefy enough but if that was the case why does windows 98 run so well??

As far as System Requirements go, they are the same for WIN 8 and WIN 8.1

Hope some of you can throw some light on this. What does WIN 8.1 do in the boot
process that WIN 8 does not?
And if anybody has encounterd this before...
Note to multi booters - keep or reinstall Dell or other System Reserved partition (PRI,Active)
EasyBCD/Windows Boot Manager held on this partition (eg. 350MB)
If it gets corrupted, you can Restore it, rather than Gigabytes of 1st Primary O/S
Also, it will solve a lot of problems, when manipulating/adding/backing up/restoring O/S's

Results in:
X You can't install Windows 8.1 because your processor doesn't support LAHF/SAHF.
X You can't install Windows 8.1 because your processor doesn't support PrefetchW.
There are at least three Processor requirements that M'soft does not list for WIN 8.1
and it's fairly well documented, if you ask the right question, eg.:

So that's it, exclusion by 'stealth' - at least M'soft told you that processor required NX - Execute Disable Bit
for Windows 8
For Intel units, look out for 'VT-x. Have a processor on the way, but will Motherboard pass CMPXCHG16b test?

Windows 8 support ends 2015, that means people who bought it will have had 2 years use
WIN 8.1 Upgrade/Update (sic) is free, but costly if it won't run on your machine

I just found that I can't Sync my Iphone either and it gave the same error code.... it must be a ITunes problem.

Let's start with iTunes.
Have you updated iTunes to 11.1.5, because the previous version did appear to have an issue about seeing iPods?
With iTunes 11.1.5 installed, look in Edit/Preferences/Devices, (or use the ALT key, followed by the E key and then the F key) and make sure that the box named Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically does not have a tick in the box.
Once you have doen those two things, check to see if the iPod is seen by iTunes.

OS stands for Operating System. (In computer speak, IO means Input/Output.)
iOS originally stood for iPhone Operating System, but it now refers to the iPod Touch and iPhone. The iPod Classic, which you have listed in your profile as your iPod, does not use iOS.
I assume that you have been listening to the Podcast in your iTunes on the computer as you cannot transfer it to your iPod. It's what I'd do.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

the power logix thing was really sad. apple changed so much after 10.4.8 that there wasn't a viable way to patch the software.
That statement is precisely why I don't believe in blindly updating the OS, especially in a non-standard machine.
We can't expect third parties to support us forever, and it is shameful to break something that works fine, except that we updated the OS....
I think that any upgrade or modification to a machine or the OS greatly increases the risk of trouble or incompatibility with current configuration and "new" system files.
After all, the component or software could only be tested as far as the current OS version when the component or software was released.
Beyond that, we are all "beta testing".
Following a beta tester protocol, and applying updates to a cloned system drive first, is a prudent way to approach updates, and not only for older, heavily modified machines.
After 10.4.8 and moreso with Leopard, the focus is primarily on Intel architecture, not PPC architecture.
Like it or not, we are all updating to the abyss of the extinction of our machines, unless we can be satisfied with the last stable version of OS that works well with our hardware and software.
I wish they would include the latest pkgs at least with software update.
Yes, having individual packages, rather than lump "OS X 10.x.x" updates would be nice.
This way, one could update as one sees fit. That is to say, for example, fix the Quicktime, but leave my Network alone, etc., etc.
In all fairness, Apple does provide for some breakdown of updates, but I believe there is much room for improvement, especially, as you point out, with regard to the core services portion of the OS.
Until then, I'll leave Software Update disabled.......

Had this problem for quite a while but found a work-a-round. I click anywhere in the text I want to delete and insert any character. I am then able to block and delete any text I want to. It's been working great.

Webcam NX Ultra cannot load windows 7 drivers

Hi please help - I was so excited to see the windows 7 drivers for my webcam NX ultra - but I cannot load them . Installation wizard gets to a certain point and then it says driver installation failed. I have tried unistalling the camera, unistalling anything with creative in the title in my registry - always same result installation fails - PLEASE HELP - if I cannot get this to work I will bever buy another creative product - my logitech camera which is 5 years older has windows 7 drivers and works fine. Cannot load windows 7 through bootcamp

i have been trying to load windows 7 through bootcamp. but after the initial partition process, the screen goes blank with a cursor on the top left corner.
it does not come to life even after 4 hours.
i did not have any problem making the partition before. this is the first time i have had this issue.
can anybody help?????

I just successfully installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 on BootCamp on Mac OS X Yosemite. Here is a step by step I just wrote, hope it helps y'all:
How to successfully install Windows 8, or above, on Mac OS X Mavericks or above:
Requirements:
1- Windows OS ISO Image file
2- An 8GBs USB Flash Drive
3- A good Internet connection as you will need to download the Windows compatible drivers for your Mac
Steps:
1- Open up Disk Utility and create an additional partition for Windows formatted as ExFat. 100GBs, or above, is recommended as update to the operating system, as well as Apps requiere space on your HD or SSD [This step can be done during Mac OS X's installation process]
2- Open up BootCamp Assistant
3- Make sure only the 'Create a Windows 7 or later version install disk' is checked and your USB Flash Drive plugged in and click 'Continue'
4- Click 'Choose' and select your Windows ISO Image file
5- Select the USB Flash Drive you will be using during the installation process and click continue to confirm
6- Once done, restart your Mac and hold down the 'alt/option' key on your keyboard to bring up the Boot Menu
7- Select the USB Flash Drive named Windows, not the UEFI Boot
8- Install Windows as you normally would
* Remember to press and hold the 'alt/option' key, and select the Windows Partition, whenever the installation process requires your Mac to restart

Upon power-on, the system eventually goes to the blank screen. Can get to BIOS functions, but beyond that it will not load Windows 7. System was working with Windows 7 prior to this issue. No recent changes or updates made to this system. Stationary - No physical abuse. Five (5) years old. Upon power-on, the screen gives PF keys, which enable me to enter the BIOS: F1 – System Information > Clock still has correct date and time. F2 – Startup Check -> Both HD and RAM OK F9 – Change Boot Device Order -> Can change device order, but it still won’t boot or respond to a System Recovery DVD in a USB DVD. ( Notebook DVD stopped working before this problem happened.) F10 - Enter Setup F11 – System Recovery – Two choices, but <enter> and arrow keys do not work. (They DO work with other F-selections, but not with F-11 menu) (1) Continue with System Resume (2) Delete Restoration Data and Proceed to System Boot OTHER OBSERVATION: When access PF1, I get the BIOS. If I exit and save with PF10, I get a brief flash of error messages, then it goes back to the PF-selections and eventually to the blank screen. This issue probably occurs due to the application error described in the SAP Note [1456922|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1456922].
When login B1 with incorrect upper/lower cases for the user name (eg. The user name is registered "manager" but login as "Manager"), the user can login successfully but fails to open a certain form window the user has permission.
This issue is planned to be fix in a Patch of 8.8.
As workaround, until the issue will be fixed, the users should use exactly the same user name as itu2019s represented in the OUSR table, with case sensitive user code.

I try to open mywebsite. At first it succesful to load the site, but a second later my website didnt appear.
I try another browser such as Internet Explorer and able to open mysite.
I tell my friend to open in their browser, they say that using chrome it able to open, but when using firefox it unable to access.

Firefox will not load any webpage, but Chrome works just fine. What is wrong?

Whenever I open Firefox I get the message 'Problem loading page' on every website I try. This just started today. I am having the same issue with IE, but Chrome is working fine. It is not a problem with my internet, as Chrome and my PS3 have no problem connecting to the internet.

Thanks, turns out I got a virus somehow. BWContextHandler32.exe is reporting itself to my firewall as the game BulletStorm, which I do not have, and somehow attached itself to Firefox and probably IE as well. I figured it was bogus so I blocked it. Still not sure why it just started blocking Firefox. I was denying access to it for a couple days, darn procrastination, and Firefox was working fine. Now I just have to get rid of it...I really hate windows sometimes...
