Cannot log into facebook - first time.

After having downloaded facebook, when I get to the section where I have to insert my email and password, I am getting a incorrect "e-mail / password" message?

Well, given the error message, I'm not sure how to guide you...it is rejecting the Facebook credentials you are entering. Are you 100% positive they are correct? With BB keyboards, it is very easy to think you are typing one character but it actually is sending something completely different (e.g., alt, caps, num, etc.).

Can't log into Facebook first time

When I first call up Facebook in my address bar, and try to log in, I get the cursor with the blue ball on it. The second time I call up Facebook, I am able to log in (or if I go through Google, or through my bookmarks). This problem started happening after my AirPort crashed, and was fixed through technical support. Tried using Disk Utility (Repair Permissions) with no effect.

Try deleting this file. com.apple.Safari.plist
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.
Try accessing your account on Facebook.

Cannot log into Facebook

Hi, i'm having problem to log into Facebook & Yahoo Mail after Mac OS X Lion upgrade. Checked through my software ver & laptop processor, all meeting installation requirement before installing. Not whenever i try logging into FB & Yahoo Mail, it complains wrong password. no way i forgot the password. Somehow with same password,i can log in with Firefox

Your passwords are stored in /Applications / Keychain Access.
Delete the keychains for FB and Yahoo and the Safari Forms Autofil keychain.
Quit then relaunch Safari. Try logging into those sites.

Cannot log into Facebook app, getting session expired message

I tried logging into the Facebook app last night and got a "Session Expired, Please log in again" prompt. I have already changed my password, deactivated and reactivated my account from the Safari browser. Any ideas as to what I should do?

Not an iphone or Apple issue that is a facebook issue, ask the app developer or look at their support site.

Firefox does not remian logged in once I close a webpage. Fore example, I have to log into Facebook every time I visit the page. Same with Google.

I checked the setting to make sure the box is checked for remembering passwords. But the browser does not prompt me to remember passwords and then it logs me off everytime I browse out of the webpage.

The "remember me" checkbox instructs the site to set a persistent cookie in Firefox. Persistent means that the cookie is marked with a future expiration date so that Firefox retains it between sessions.
There are a lot of ways to break this. For example:
* Visit the site in a private window
* Change Firefox's default setting of accepting persistent cookies from all servers (first party and third party)
* Set Firefox to clear cookies at shutdown
* Install add-ons that clear cookies
* Use external cleaning/security/privacy software that clears Firefox cookies
If you're not sure about your cookie settings, check out the Privacy panel of the Options dialog:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy
If you have "Firefox will: remember history" then cookies are accepted and retained.
If you have "Firefox will: use custom settings for history" you can check your cookie settings below that line.
If you have "Firefox will: never remember history" then you are going to be using full time private browsing and cookies are discarded between sessions.
If cookie settings are okay, and you would like advice on your extensions, it would be helpful if you could post a list of them. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using either:
* Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the upper left corner, click the Copy text to clipboard button, then paste into a reply.
After previewing, you will see there is some extra information below the list of extensions that you can edit out if you like.

No matter what I try, I cannot log into Facebook using Firefox, I get a message that states "you must enable cookies". I went into my security features and did this, nothing seems to work. I can however access facebook with Internet Explorer

"Cannot log into Web service" error when tying to use Wifi to connect to Google Drive or Facebook

We have a relatively new Canon Powershot s120. Up until a few days ago, it worked just fine to connect to the Wifi and upload pictures to both Google Drive and Facebook. Now, every time I try to connect, I get a message "Cannot log into Web service"
I have already tried removing Google Drive from the Camera and re-adding it. I went into the Canon Image Gateway website and disconnected and then reconnected the service. That didn't do anything.

Problem sorted - there is a new set of terms and conditions which came out on the 6th August.
You have to log in under your current user name & password and agree to them and it works again. I spent a frustrating hour doiung this until I found out that this had happened!

It started last week - I normally use Chrome to play my games in Facebook - but I started getting "Sorry, this feature isn't available
right now"..... When I used IE..... no problem - a friend said to install Foxfire, which I did, but I made the mistake of having my bookmarks and whatever transferred from Google as it is the browser I used most often and it has all my bookmarks, but
now it does the same thing when I try to log into Facebook. - I have no problem with any other website. I deleted both Google and Foxfire and tried to start over - I cleared History and checked all the boxes hoping that this would help - but it did not.

On Friday, it started working again - and everything was fine. But on Sunday evening I ran the History Clean in Google and when
I went to log back in, I couldn't and got the same "Sorry" message and has stayed this way since.
I ran a Norton scan of the entire computer, a Hitman scan, a CCleaner scan, ... all to no avail. Problem still exists.
I tried to run a restore program prior to the problem, but I am getting error messages like mad.
there has been two Windows Updates in this time frame and I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not - but my Restore program does not work.
NYCsDancer -- if its working via Internet Explorer, we can't help you much. Most of the time it has to do with Cookies, or your Java Version. I'd reach out to Google's forums for assistance with Chrome

Just figured it out! Here it goes:
Click on where you find the little AirPort sign (on iMac it is on top right hand side next to the date and time).
Go down to: Open Network Preferences
Click on: Advanced
Then on DNS
Then click on the + sign and put the following numbers: 8.8.8.8
click again on the + sign and put: 8.8.4.4
Worked for me! Hope it helps :-)

Cannot log into webpage b- wifi times out

I cannot log into a particular web page. I am connected to wifi at home and when I try to connect it times out. Obviously something wrong with my wifi as i cannot connect using Mac, PC and iphone all connected to same wifi. When I tun wifi off, my mobile phone connects using 4G. How do I reset wifi - have turned it off and back on, re-booted - but still no good. Any ideas?

"CANNOT LOG INTO ACCOUNT AT THIS TIME?"

Hey,
My computer won't allow me to log into my account. Each time it type my password in a pop up window comes up and says "You cannot log into "bkaster" at this time. This started to happen after my battery was knocked out accidentally while the computer was on. When I turned it back on this message came up and it has been coming up ever since. I am a college student and next week is finals week and all my lecture notes are on this computer. PLEASE HELP!!!

This just might not be a battery related issue. Since you have a PBookG4 running Leopard, which takes up a huge amount of hard drive space, make sure you have a minimum of 15% free space on the drive. I'm assuming your PBookG4 drive is 40GB? 60GB?
After you try Clea Rees advice, open a Finder window. The amount of free space is displayed at the bottom. You can also view this information by using Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities). Open DU, select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, then look down toward the bottom and you will see:
Capacity and Availability.
It's just a good thing to keep in mind when trouble shooting.

Cannot log into youtube or facebook apps

As of this morning, I cannot log into my accounts on these 2 apps. This is in my home, using the same wifi network that my computer uses, where I'm able to access these accounts normally via my macbook. Everything else seems to be accessing the internet via wifi normally without problems.
I understand youtube had some problems last night - maybe their mobile portal is still broken - anyone know?

Oh - did a hard reset, it's working fine now. Not the most elegant fix, but it is an x.0 software version
