Problem logging into FaceTime for Mac
For some reason, Im unable to login with my AppleID. After the information is entered into the ID and password block, it sits at "Signing In" and goes no further. Ive reinstalled the app with no luck. I have basic WEP security on the home network but I have not experimented with changing these settings. Anyone else run into the issue where it just wont log in?
Ive also created a new AppleID account through the FaceTime app, but it still wont log in with that account.I have the same problem. Whether using an existing Apple ID or creating a new one, FaceTime just gives me the spinning wheel at "Signing in" and gets stuck there forever. I've left it for hours and no change. I've tried a couple dozen times and no change. Just the spinning wheel.
I'm in Hong Kong, and I tried with both a Mid-2009 MacBook Pro and a near-virgin Mid-2010 iMac (Little Snitch never installed). I'm using both a Tenda wireless router as well as the wireless router supplied by my comms company PCCW.
Nothing works.
Is it regional? Is anyone else in Hong Kong able to sign in? -
Please help whenever I try to log into FaceTime it's says unable to connect please check you network connection than try again I've tried everything and even waited up to an month for something to change but nothing has!! Please Help!!!

cannot log into facetime on MacBook Pro keep getting message check you network connection. I am able to log on my apple id but not on face time help
Just figured it out! Here it goes:
Click on where you find the little AirPort sign (on iMac it is on top right hand side next to the date and time).
Go down to: Open Network Preferences
Click on: Advanced
Then on DNS
Then click on the + sign and put the following numbers: 8.8.8.8
click again on the + sign and put: 8.8.4.4
Worked for me! Hope it helps :-) -

I cannot log into FaceTime using my Apple ID on my iPad Air

Apple posted this about the facetime issues. You may find an answer there. One thing to bear in mind is that both parties have to have their devices updated. -
Tried to log into my FaceTime account, but keep on getting "password incorrect" message. Restarted iPad as suggested by posted comments but still no positive result. Tried alternative email accounts such as @me.com but also no positive result. Please help.
Well after two attempts at trying to repair Facetime and iMessage by restoring my iPad, I am still left with the same outcome, no Facetime or iMessage. What I think has happened is when I first set up my iPad I used a different password, now that i have changed my password and cannot remember the old one I cannot access eitehr application. Whast strange is that you would think that when changing my password it would change the password on all devices when doing the synch from iTunes. For some reason this has not happened and the old password is still intact in Facetime and iMessage. I even tried backing up twice, the first time from iCloud and secondly from my Mac but even this has not resolved the problem. I also set up my iPad as a "new" iPad and this also had no impact. still struggling to resolve this, would appreciate help if anyone out there has a solution or something else I can try. i have run out of ideas.

Cannot log into FaceTime, iCloud, AppStore
I STILL cant log into MAS after the 10.6.8 update now on Lion 10.7.2 and now can't log into MAS, Facetime and iCloud.
Attached are screen shots of the errors.
All three problems are only on my MacBook, iMac and iPhone can login fine.
Apple customer support has been next to useless.
Tried all the network preferences deleting, no use.
Built in ethernet port is not working but i do have an Apple USB ethernet adapter.
This is now really annoying me, has been going on for ages and still no solution.I would swear this has to be a simple p-list issue... But since we are getting desperate, might as well throw these three things at it.

Having problems signing into Facetime on ipod touch. Everytime I try it says I don't have the correct user ID or password. But, they work fine to sign in for Itunes. HELP!
I had this problem too. As it turns out, when you first sign in to FaceTime, it saves that password. If you have changed your Apple ID account password since the first time you used FaceTime on your device, it will reject that password, even though it is right. Basically, FaceTime thinks it needs the original password. This means that you will have to restore. If you haven't changed your password though, I am not sure.

Very infuriating! I can log into the Skype website and the iPhone app - so I know it is not my user credentials.
I keep getting the following screen:

I have a new ipad and cannot log on to factime or the messages. I have reset my apple id and my password. Nothing works any ideas?
All facetime things are checked in the settings area tooTry turning FaceTime off and on in Settings. As for SnapChat, try reinstalling the app or perhaps waiting for the next update on the App Store. I'm not familiar with SnapChat, so that's all I can really give you for the second app.

No need to worry! I was able to locate your account using the info you used to register for the forum and have sent you a password reset link via e-mail.
