Cannot login website using Toshiba 32RL958 browser
Maybe that should be "Not so smart TV..."
Attempting to log into any site which requires a password fails. I know I'm not using the wrong password, but depending on the site I'm either returned to the logon screen or remain as 'Guest'.
Any ideas please. I'm starting to get rather hacked off with the non functioning Smart elements of the set.

In my opinion this is not fully correct. Of course you can access the page and browse the content but video streaming using TVs internal internet browser is another story .
It looks like BT sport provides two apps for iOS and Android devices. But its not known to me if BT sport would provide a special App for Smart TVs as other providers (video sharing platforms) do.

I use AOL mail - http://www.aol.com/ with my Firefox 6.1 browser. Before updating aol mail worked great with firefox for years. Now when I try to send ( upload) messages with a file or images I always get the reading " there was a technical problem and I should try again". Messages with NO files or images go through just fine. I have cleared the Firefox history, the cache and cookies and the problem remained the same. The question is does this problem have something to do with the latest update ? AOL are still only familar with the 3.6 Firefox versions. Thanks
Well I guess I was too optimistic. Since last posting I have had three hang events, one during reboot. When the login dialog box came up I clicked on it and it hung.
However I do have a new data point. I have enabled the remote login (sshd). I have discovered that when the system hangs like I described above, I can still log in via SSH from my Windows system. The shell appears normal, but when I tried a "killall Safari" command the OS crashed hard. After a hard reset, the system hung during the login process. Again I could login remotely, and that time I executed a "sudo reboot" via the remote session. That cleared the display to all-blue but did not successfully reboot.
Can anyone suggest what to try via the remote login to help diagnose what is happening? I am familiar with typical Linux architecture but the differences in Mac OS X are leaving me a bit disoriented. -

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

One of the operations its supposed to do is restart the website. The SDK contains a restart function which issues a POST request to the azure management server. For some reason the request doesn't return the Pipeline's callback, it doesn't even enter there.
I have opened an issue on Github about it but for almost 2 weeks no answers : https://github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-node/issues/1407
Other requests work properly. The documentation says i can read more about it here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/dn236425.aspx , but this link isn't available anymore.

I created ADFS v2 on one of windows 2008 R2 serves. The AD Sync works fine. However, I can't login the ADSF server using adfssvr.mydomain.com/adfs/ls/idpinitiatedsignon.aspx even we have correct internal DNS settings.
Troubleshooting steps:
1. I read this article "A federated user is repeatedly prompted for credentials during sign-in to Office 365, Azure, or Windows Intune". If I modify the web.config, I can login. But none of resolutions fixes the probelm.
2. If I use Firefox broswer, I can login. Only IE doesn't work.
3. I have tried different IE version, differen computers, using compatibility view and adding the website to IE security site.
What could be hte probelm?

Tried the terminal command
$ telnet sss-web.usps.com 443
$ telnet: trying 56.0.134.63
$ connect to address 56.0.134.63: no rout to host
$ telnet: unable to connect to remote host
So 443 is being blocked, but whats blocking it.
Went to network utiliy and it showed 3 network interfaces (en1), (fw0), and (en0) only (en0) is set up correctly. The powerbook is using internal ethernet only.

The "Roman" font is not being recognized in Firefox 4.0. As such, I cannot read any previously posted topics or post any new topics on websites using this font.
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -

This is the general policy on which all websites are built. Even if you try to login the same website from another web browser, you won't be able to login from the second platform either. I just check it. Tried on Mozilla and Internet Explorer. -

Do you speak of true blue Java or Javascript? If the latter then it is a problem with the Browser.
But if it is the real Java, do you have the offical version of Java from Oracle installed?
Getting applications to see official Java is a nightmare. If you install the Runtime Environment only (JavaRTE) most applications do not see it.
To force offical Java system wide, I found you have to install the Java Developer Kit (JavaJDK). It's a larger install as it also comes with documentation and compilers but it make offical Java system wide. -
I am building a website using IWEB, on my computer, and I am stuck suddenly, the page I made yesterday is hidden by another page and I cannot pursue..
Is there a way to learn the process, also I see a contradiction with ILIFE 2011, reading about an announcement of Steve Jobs....? that iWeb would not longer be??How is the first page hidden by the other page? Where are you experiencing this problem? In iWeb's window or in the browser window of the published site?
Are you referring to the page's link in your navbar? If so check the Inspector/Page/Page pane for the "hidden" page and make sure it's set to be included in the navbar. If that's not the problem describe in detail what you mean and include any screenshots you can make of the problem.
As far as the longevity of iWeb read the following:

Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. The error message is saying, that your GarageBand installation is incomplete. There are essential foldrs missing in your system library.
Check, if indeed both folders are missing or if only the permissions are set incorrectly.
Your system library (the folder "System" directly on your system drive) should have the following folders inside the folder "Audio", and they need to be readable by the system and by administrators.
And in the folder /Library/Application Support there should be the Instrument Library.
If these folders do not exist (or no longer exist), restore them from your backup- If your GarageBand version is a new installation, the application may not hve been downloaded or installed completely, then reinstall GarageBand.
What is your GarageBAnd version, and how did you install it originally?

Firefox gives that error because the page is on HTTPS but your form action is HTTP:

Can you change that to HTTPS?There is a disconnect here: if the form is being submitted securely, then you would not get that message. So although you may be looking at an HTTPS address in the address bar, Firefox is warning you that your username and password are going to an HTTP address and being transmitted in the clear rather than being protected.
That's definitely not the normal way to set up a login page. Do you want to give the URL of the problem login page to get specific comments? Without knowing more, it sounds as though it isn't designed for secure logins and you may be wasting your time accessing their login form using HTTPS.
Anyway, to answer your question, I don't think there is a way to disable that warning. -
I'm trying to access an uncompleted app. on a gov't website using Safari5.1 I receive a message saying the browser is incompatible. I have been advised to use Safari 5.0. Must I delete 5.1 or can I use both browsers on my Mac.
As above, there is more to Safari than just the App, however I dont like the changes in 5.1, so restored the 5.0 version of just the App and it functions just like it used to
It might not work for you, and it can just be deleted if it doesn't, not sure how easy it is without time machine
go into Finder and Applications folder
enter time machine (it will default to app folder)
find a date that you had 5.0
click to restore it (Do Not restore into original location, restore it to desktop to test it)
When this has been done, run Safari from your desktop and see if it fixes your issue
I have been using this version done like this for a couple of weeks and it is fine, I did copy it to the Application\Utitlities folder along with some other older software I have, then made this one the version on my dock

I have recently found that Konqueror browser for Linux can help user to limit cpu usage while visiting a website using flash technology by changing settings in the Flash section and adjusting the slider from VERY HIGH settings to HIGH and MEDIUM and so on. It actually works, and it does not have a direct impact on the general performance for flash player but it may generate some conflicts if other extensions such as add-blocker or click-to-flash are enabled also.
Maybe you can add a similar setting in Firefox in the browser option section or just as an useful addon or extension.Sorry for being late with my reply. As for the memory tip ( about:memory ) I agree that it can be extremely useful for users that have less than 1 gb memory installed on their system. I know very little about computers but I can tell your tip for optimizing memory usage in firefox has merits.
Me, I have another problem with cpu overload in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and most of the browsers with flash support enabled. Each and every time time I visit a page that features all sort of adds and gadgets based on flash technology, and each time I try to watch a video online my cpu goes all the way up to 100% and stays there until i finally decide to close the browser.
I am running winxp and also linux on a Dell Optiplex GX260 machine with 2000 MHz cpu, 1024 Mib ram and 128 Mib video card, it is not the best computer in the world but still 2000 MHz should be enough for a limited and uneventful web experience.
It is not as much an issue with the web browser, any browser, the whole problem is caused by funny people claiming to be deeply involved with web development, and promoting flash technology for ages instead of choosing other alternatives, more user friendly. All I am saying is that flash ruined the entire web experience making people to believe that they actually need dual-core cpu and coreduo and deepfreeze cpu and so on which is only partially true.
I always get better results for cpu usage when watching online videos that use media player as default player and not flash player, and my cpu stays below 70% usage which is not much but still it is not 100% usage.
Konqueror offered me a nice surprise, and I was able to limit cpu usage once I moved that slider from Very High setttings for flash player to Medium settings. I got something between 80-90% cpu usage as a result, and I was very pleased to finally see a working solution to my problem at least for linux if not for windows.
The only other browser that I can use for windows only, which handles both flash player and cpu usage well is Kmeleon browser which is a long forgotten project but does offer nice features once you find some plugins that it needs to make it come to life again.
