Cannot logon with SAP*

I Have installed EP 6 SP2 on Windows 2003 and Oracle. Now when try to logon to the portal for the fisrt time with SAP* with default password 06071992 , it does not give any error message and the same page just gets refreshed .. If i try diff password , then user authentication fails . Pl help .

Did you use ip address or hostname for the url to access the portal? If you use Ip address, the log on function will not work, try to use the hostname of the portal server.

ADS LogonWithAlias - cannot logon with alias user id

Hi,
We have Erec and use ADS. Now when the candidate enters their detials - such as logon id - into EREC, the SAP ERP backend generates a random user id and their logon id in put into the alias field in the SAP record (SU01) btw we use ABAP for the user administration. The candidate can then logon with their Alias into Erec and this works fine. Now when we send them an ADS form link to fill in, the signon prompy does not allow them to use the Alias to logon - only the random generated user id work. I have change the option in VA under Security Provider - Basic - BasicPasswordLoginModule=true but this has not helped it still does not work with the user alias id. I have noticed that the ADS form logon prompt is a netweaver prompt and different from the Erec logon prompt. Any ideas appreciated.

Cannot logon through SAP Logon

Hello Guru's,
I have create an instance (ERP Foundation Extension powered by SAP HANA ) CAL successfully. however, I'm not able to connect to SAP with my SAP Logon.
When I click on Connect, I use the SAP Logon shortcut to have access to my system and after some secondes I get the following error :
SAP has currently revoked this solution so no more instances can be created anymore.
Can anyone help me please?

Hi Stanimir,
I solved the problem with the SAP server. It was a strange situation with the license of the HANA database server. I updated the license and now I can start the HANA and the ABAP server again.
However, I now receive another error
"System locked; licensed memory has been exceeded" and indeed on the license menu I see the following information:
Peak memory allocation (GB): 153
License memory amount (GB): 64.
I really don't understand how did we reached such a high value on the memory because we really didn't do any exhaustive implementations.
Due to this error the system chrashes from time to time and the only solution is to reboot the entire AWS instance to get back on the systems.
Do you have any idea how should I get an unenforced hana license or how should I solve this error?

Cannot logon with ftp

Hello,
I'm trying to logon to Files with ftp, but I get access denied. I'm trying to logg on using a Files users' files spesific passord. No success. (I'm able to logg on as site_admin user though..)
How do I enable the ftp protocol to accept "files spesific password"?
The manual says that the service configuration property
IFS.SERVICE.CREDENTIALS.Oid.IfsPasswordApplications
gives the set of protocols that require files specific passwords, but I cannot find it.
Any ideas, hits, experiences?

I found the configuration property
IFS.SERVICE.CREDENTIALS.Oid.IfsPasswordApplications
It lists AfpServer and FtpServer in the value area in the properties section.
Still, I cannot logg on with ftp.

Cannot logon with Fingerprint in Win10 TP

I have Lenovo ThinkPad T410 with a fingerprint device that I use all the time
I had a user with my fingerprint configured
I added my computer to our company's domain and then deleted the other user account as it is not in use anymore
now, when I try to add my fingerprint to the domain user I get the message:
as I mentioned - the other user does not exists!
here already, I would expect to have something more intuitive for normal users. like for example - delete the fingerprint database when I deleted the user...
now, I can't find a way to get rid of the fingerprint database in order to configure my fingers on my current account
when I'm on the logon-screen \ lock-screen I automatically try to swipe my finger and the worst thing - it tries to log-in to my previous deleted user and doesn't succeed!
I tried deleting the registry SIDS under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\FingerprintLogon
still doesn't help.
now what I care about is deleting my current fingerprint database and I'd be glad to get some help
but what I think Microsoft should be care about is to make this process seamless for end users...

Make sure report this issue through Feedback App.
Check user profile setting and try back up user profile for deleted account (if it still exist) and then delete it.
Restart your PC and try again.

Cannot logon to a new instance with SAP*

We installed a ECC60 but unfortunatelu we loose the psw used during sapinst.
THis psw has been used for all the users, included the SAP* and DDIC* users.
Now the installation is finished but we are not able to logon in SAP.
We deleted the rows for SAP* in USR02 and USR01, but the system continue to refuse the logon with psw 'PASS' for SAP*.
We restarted the Oracle instance too but nothing changed.

SSO with SAP logon tickets to non-SAP web app

I am trying to implement SSO to an oracle portal based web application using SAP logon tickets, but can't seem to find a way for it to work. I thought maybe it would be a web server filter, but am unsure if this would work for oracle portal. Anyone tried similar?

Hi Alessandro - I am sharing an Excel sub that works for me by opening up logon pad, signing on to production, gettting credentials, then going into SAP and doing a transaction, and finally asking the user to click ok to terminate the session. I think this is something that there were questions on how to do the session close nicely but not sure if there is a solution yet.

Problem with SAP logon 720 for printng with Citrix.

I have a problem with sap logon 720 when printing for Citrix, one time print and other time don't print....
I try to start SAPLPD for prompt comand... it's start but don't print....

Hi Itmar,
I was having the similar issue on my Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server. At times SAP prints stop working. Then i changed Printer Type to "G" and it had solved the problem. It skips the use of SAPLPD service and calling windows printing service directly.

Logon to SAP system failed

my system logon failed .
i am not able to logon to my ides system. server is starting but while logging into the system by using user name and passward
the following error is coming
user account not in validity date
some other information is also available
logon to SAP system failed
the system description "NEW" cannot be found in the system list.
Make sure that saplogon.ini exists and choose an existing system description in the system list.

Check with your Basis. Your account validity is expired. Ask them to increase the validity.
The INI also does not exist on your system. Take the file from Basis and paste it on your PC.

C # Aplication connection with SAP Windows CE

I have a problem with an aplication that I've made in Visual Studio C#. The problem is the next:
I've made an aplication that connects with SAP and passes some data. This aplication works well on any computer but I've got a problem when I tried tu convert the code and use it in a hand help pc. The version of OS of the hand held pc is Windows CE 5.0 and the error that I get when I execute my software is something related with the COM and the Class ID, the error says the next:
"COM object with CLSID '{B24944D6-1501-11CF-8981-0000E8A49FA0}' cannot be created due to the following error: Class not registered ."
I think that the problem could be with some dll that I don't have installed on the hand held pc but I don't really know which or what exactly.
Does anyome know anything about all of these??

Now the problem is that I want to use these code to make the same connection on a handheld PC but it doesn't work, when I execute the compilation on the handheld PC I get the next error:

License Error : 100000011 Cannot Logon;

Some of the users get this error and unable to login, "License Error : 100000011 Cannot Logon; the user is already connected to same Company".
In this situation, the server has to be restarted.
Is there any other way to overcome this problem. Restarting the server is incorrect option.
Secondly, is there any utility to find out the logged on users to the server.

This error occurs when
-more than one user logged on with the same user name. Put in place better secuirity measures.
-the SAP client closes immediatly and gives a windows error more than once. This you can resolve by restarting the service manager (license part) on the server.
-inside sap you can see users logged on by going to the license administration window, but it shows the user names logged in. Not the pc's? The names are in a lighter grey.
-From Microsft SQL you can see the pc's connected to a specific database.

Problem connectivity of Web Dympro with SAP Netweaver

I've a problem connectivity of Web Dympro with SAP Netweaver
I installed Sap NW in a machine on the local network with IP 192.168.x.y, and I can connect to it without problems; I can use the portal and implement jobs in Visual Composer.
After installing Sap Developer Studio, I connected it successfully to the NW through the menu "Preferences->SAP j2EE engine" selecting the option "SAP J2EE is installed on remote hosts" and inserting IP address of the machine with NW (192.168.x.y) and port 3900.
Using these parameters the logon works, in fact I can see the tab "J2EE engine".
The problem is that when I try to make the deploy, Web Dynpro asks me the SDM password (that I'm sure I've inserted correctly) but it returns the following error to me:

There were 2 cases I explained, and the second was the one in case your SDM was blocked. Did you try the first one?
Anyways, here is something more that you can try to get it working. In case the SDM password is valid, did you log into the portal as the Administrator? If yes, then you must have been asked to change the password. If you did change the password there, login to the remoteGUI using the Master password (abcd1234) and change the password there also to the same password you use for Administrator on the Portal. Now try again.
In case the above doesnt work, start the configtool.bat from \usr\sap\J2E\JC01\j2ee\configtool and go to secure store. Here define the J2E passwords again (the same new password you gave for the Administrator in the portal), save and restart the server. I think it would work then

P.S - the main thing is that the error you got was Authentication failure using the Administrator username. Thats why you have to make sure that the password for the SDM is the same as what you gave for the Administrator login in the portal. So after you login into the remoteGUI, CHANGE the password to what you have for the Administrator(just like the one in the portal).

I request the access to HU2,... systems, but when I tried to logon via GUI, got the error message - You Cannot logon (CUA system assignment missing).
I tried Web GUI, it tells me that user name and password not valid,...
Any clue?

Sometime this error will appear after System copy/migration or technical upgrade.
Suppose that xyz user face an error "You cannot logon (CUA system assignment missing)" during login attempt after system copy/migration or system upgrade.
Solution:
Login as sap* user and reset xyz user password in su01. New password length of xyz should be at least 14 to 15 characters. If you are unable to login as sap* then reset sap* user with database utility in usr02 table and remove parameter u201Clogin/no_automatic_user_sapstaru201D from profile if active. Login as xyz user and insert new password with any length at new password windows.
After successful login of xyz user, do the same practice for all users who are facing the same problem.
