  • 13" Cannot set screen resolution in Windows 7 to 1440 by 900

Just finished installing BootCamp with Windows 7 Pro. For some reason the screen resolution in Windows display driver only goes up to 1200 not 1440 x 900. On MacOS it is obviously working fine. Any ideas?

On my MacBook Air 11 with Windows 7 64 bit I experience an even worse situation: when ever trying to install a NVidia driver (also when following the mentioned instructions) the setup executable reports - after a check of system compatibility - that no compatible graphic hardware (=320m) could be found. Luckily at least MacOS X is aware of a NVidia 320m installed.
    Any Idea? Thanks

  • Scaling dimensions of controls according to monitor resolution in Labview ver 8.6 (Windows)

Hello.  I got a VI containing a lot of controls and indicators; the Vi was made on a 1920x1080 resolution and it occupies the full screen.
I need a way to automatically scale all controls as window scales in different (minor) monitor resolution.  Vi settings make controls not to scale properly and to loose their relative position.
In the past, I used multiple VI to distribute controls, now I cannot.
What' s the better way to solve the problem?
    Thanks in advance

  • Does anyone know How to run twin monitors on a MacBook Pro operating on a Windows Server 2008 R2 ?

    Hi
Does anyone know How to run twin monitors on a MacBook Pro operating on a Windows Server 2008 R2 ?

I know this doesn't help you much, but, I think you have to see if your Mac pro does audio out via HDMI. I don't even know if mine does via DVI. I think it may have to do with the adapter. Try going into Audio MIDI and setting the digital out to multichannel
and using the toslink cable for now. Lemme see...apparently DVI does not carry audio at all. Hm. apparently monoprice could be helpful?  If I understand what you're saying correctly: you want to take DVI and multichannel audio via the Toslink and have it all go out over HDMI, right? Whooo..... amazon...looks like it's about $100http://www.amazon.com/Audio-SPDIF-Toslink-Converter-Adapter/dp/B0015YYOQQ
just a shot in the dark
    I'm probably wrong....or not

  • Scaling Fonts with monitor resolution / Window sizing

How can I ensure that my fonts scale themselves to the monitor resolution, along with the controls? I do my development on a 21" monitor, and when I take them to the floor, the front panels rescale, but the fonts remain the same, and labels / scaling values end up piled on top of one another. It ends up looking like a jumbled mess.

I had the same problem. I found that you have to use system font (Ctrl-1) to make it scalable.
Or you have to setup 21'monitors on the floor
But if you find another way, would you please let me know.

    Hi,
I am using your software: CS6 InDesign Suiteon a PC using a Windows 7 operating system.
Due to eyesight issues, I need to have the menu bars of programs in easy-to-read font and picture size.  Specifically, the menu bar across the top (File, Edit, View, etc.), and the menu bar on the left side with the graphic depiction of options.
In earlier versions of Windows (e.g. XP), whenever I changed the screen resolution on my computer to a lesser resolution in order to show the link icons on my desktop in a larger, more readable size, all the software programs, including yours, appeared on my screen with the menu bars in the larger font size that I needed.
However, in Windows 7, this is not the case.  Even though I have selected the lowest resolution, making the icons on my desktop extremely large, I cannot read the options across the top menu bar of your program, nor the pull-down menu items that they contain.  I cannot see the graphic depictions of options on the left side of the screen. They are all too small.  How can I make your program increase the size?

CS6 is not high-DPI compatible/ enabled and that can't be changed. If you cannot6 make it work with your operating system means, then short of joining Creative Cloud and using newer versions there is nothing you can do.

  • Why is my user interface monitor resolution dependent?

The user interface I created with Labview is screen resolution dependent. That means I built a user interface application exe on my computer. But when I run the exe on another computer with lower resolution, the application window was enlarged and some of the controls were cut off. I have had the problem all the time and it bacame a famous issue in our engineering group . By the way, I didn't check any box in the VI Property\Window Size window. Can you help me to fix this problem?

I use Labview 7.1.1 and had this issue, the fix is under VI Options.. goto Window Size and check "Maintain proportions of window for different monitor resolutions", there is also a check box for "Scale all objects on panel as the window resizes".
Give these a try they should work for you.

  • How?: a 4:3 crop of 16:9 1080i material and maintain 1080i resolution?

I've searched the forums. I've scanned the manuals. I've searched the PDF manual. And I've tried a couple things myself, but can't find what I'm looking for...can you help me?
I'm editing on a 1080i timeline, with 1080i material (HDV via Apple Intermediate Codec). Up 'till now, I've output my timeline into Quicktime at the same codec, and with "make movie self contained" and then I encode from that a variety of Quicktime movies for upload to the web, and also use the same file for Flash encoding. The 1080i format looks great on computer screens (take a look at a couple interviews: http://www.thenaturalguide.com) and I want to keep that resolution in all web work.
Well, now I have a prospective client that likes my work, but he wants the video in the 4:3 format (for interviews/headshots). I told him I could output 16:9 and that the video would run with a letterbox on web formats that take 4:3 (e.g. YouTube). But, he wants the full 4:3, via a crop of the 16:9 frame (e.g., the entire frame is filled with image).
I tried using Quicktime export and using the "crop" function under "Export Size Settings ("preserve aspect ratio using crop"), but, that encode looks like crap, even when I up the bitrate to 300 or more (I usually use 200 to 220 with great success).
So, do you have any ideas on how I can keep the 1080i resolution and crop both sides for internet streaming? Maybe do something on the timeline? Output differently? Use filter? Something!
    Thank you!
    Larry

Yes, the full size 1920 X 1080 (actually, 1440 X 1080) video has been resized to 480 X 270, but, that's from an HD 1080i timeline. So, the 1080 lines of sharp resolution is actually in that 480 X 270 (resized, of course). However, if it were SD footage, the resolution would be half of that, and when streaming on a computer monitor, you can actually see aliasing on SD footage whereas on HD footage you cannot (and opnce I discovered that, I went out and bought an HDV camera...for this very reason!). So, I want to keep that 1080 resolution when I scale it down, and at the same time, crop off both ends for a final showing of 4:3. Can I put it on a 4:3 timeline at 1080i resolution?
Larry. Thats about the stupidest thing I have heard all day. And considering I have spent the day at an 8 year old's birthday party, I have heard quite a lot of nonsense today already.
You're misunderstanding the principle, or rather the mechanics, of what is happening. Image data is being thrown out. Discarded. Flushed. What is left is a "resolution" of 480x270 pixels. That's 480x270 pixels of image data. The original resolution is gone. You absolutely cannot scale down and crop the original HDV footage yet maintain "1080i resolution".
    Get a grip mate.

  • [SOLVED] Cannot Change Screen Resolution

Today, I reinstalled Arch — I replaced the Windows partition with a new / partition, and the old partition became /home. Now, with the new installation, in X, I cannot get a resolution higher than 1024*768. xrandr lists 1280*960 among others, but if I try to switch to it, the video card stops sending the video signal to the monitor and the only way out is to raise elephants.
    Hardware:
    Video Card: NVIDIA RIVA TNT2
    Monitor: ViewSonic A70f+
I am using the nouveau driver for now. In the old installation, I believe I was using nv.
    How do I fix this?
    Last edited by woddfellow2 (2010-12-19 05:16:25)

Adding nomodeset fixed it. The resolution is now a surprising 1400*1050:
    http://img.ly/system/uploads/000/631/85 … _scrot.png
I didn't know my monitor was capable of 1400*1050. I thought its maximum was 1280*1024.
It also got rid of the framebuffer... heh heh
I also switched back to the nv driver.
[2010-12-19T12:19-0600] Update: That's odd... It went back down to 1280*960. Oh well, I originally wanted that resolution anyway: http://img.ly/system/uploads/000/632/75 … _scrot.png

I have no ideea what could be the problem

    Hello
Finally good news. The Compatibility mode it seems that solves the  issue, but it has to be used for the AdobeAIRInstaller.exe or whatever you try to run to install the adobe AIR.
The steps I followed are below:
    1. Used the Windows Installer Cleanup and removed the Adobe AIR. (This could not be removed earlier from control Panel because the same error was shown)
    2. Run the AdobeAIRInstaller.exe in Compatibility mode Windows XP SP3.
    3. Install the Adobe AIR application. (This might also need the Compatibility mode set to XP SP3 if it's an EXE file)
Note: I also tried a variant with compatibility mode set to Windows XP SP3 to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Adobe AIR Application Installer.exe and that also worked but only after the reinstallation of Adobe AIR.
As I see, if all exe's are set to Compatibility mode XP SP3 it is pretty much possible to solve the problem. I can do a few tests and come back since I cloned the PC to vmWare so I can work with the nonworking version of the app endlessly.

1)There are different order types hence in OPPQ we cannot maintain single  order type
2)There is routing for the material but why the error is showing "no default values maintained for operation generation"
Any suggestions to resolve the issue

    Hi experts
Thanks all for ypur suggestions and prompt replies. The issue is resolved
The problem is there are 3 operations in routing and there is object dependencies for the operations and since there is error in procedure and based on that the routing is getting selected when we convert planned order to production order.Since there is error in selection condition the system could not pick up the routing and planned order is not converting to production order and hence the system is throwing message no defaut value maintained for operation generation.
