Cannot make changes to Excel docs converted into Numbers

When I open an Excel document in Numbers I can't make any changes or save despite all appearances of a proper conversion. I have current versions both of Numbers and Excel and have reinstalled both. Any ideas? thanks...

a - an update as well as a new install doesn't change the preferences files so if they are corrupted the problem will always be present.
b- may you put the original XL doc and the result of the import in Numbers in a folder then make an archive of this folder (a zip one).
Then attach the archive to a mail and send it to:

I will be able to see
a - if the locked feature strikes also on my machine
b - if the import process done on my machine gives the same oddity
c - if opening your XL doc in openOffice and/or neoOffice then importing in Numbers gives the same behaviour.
Remember, I know what non-disclosure means.

Are you opening a PDF file in browser and trying to edit the PDF file there?
Please let me know in more details.
In general most PDF files cannot be edited in browser and some PDF can be edited with the permission for editing in browsers.

Cannot make changes to system HD - partition layout greyed out

Hi!
I recently reformatted my entire drive and reinstalled Lion with the official Lion USB recovery tool/usb. Now in disk utility the Partition Layout option is greyed out and I can not seem to re partition my disk. I´ve tried repairing my disk rights but still its greyed out.
I ran a demo of iPartition and this message was flagged:
"You cannot make changes to the disk from which your system booted.
To make changes to this disk, you should either boot from an external drive, use Target Disk Mode with another Mac, or create a bootable CD/DVD."
Does this mean I can only make changes with it when booting with the usb? This doesn´t make sense as it worked on the default startdisk before. Does anyone have solution?

Cannot make changes to the contents of this read-only folder

I recently got a new laptop and loaded Office 2013. We have three inboxes in Outlook and are using Cox IMAP. I get the following message when I try to delete emails from the primary inbox "Cannot make changes to the contents of this read-only
folder". Emails can be deleted from the other folders with no problem.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

As per the information and details provided by you, to solve the problem of Outlook inbox folder, please follow these steps: -
Step 1: - If you are unable to delete all emails from a given Outlook folder, most likely that folder is locked.
Restarting Windows should fix it.
Step 2: - If you are unable to delete only some emails, then your
Outlook data file might be corrupted.
Step 3: -
Empty your Deleted items mail folder, then try again to delete emails.
Step 4: -
Hard deletes the selected emails – While the emails are highlighted/selected, keep the
Shift key pressed and hit the Delete key.
Step 5: -
Restart Outlook in Safe Mode and try deleting the emails from there.
Step 6: -
Edit the culprit email (Actions > Edit Message), save it back and try to delete it.

Fix iTunes!!!!! I cannot make changes to my account because I cannot sign in to iTunes since it won't stay up long enough.

This is stupid. Since iTunes 12 came out I cannot open the P.O.S. software on my computer (Windows 7 64-bit). I have uninstalled the correct way, was told that my iTunes library was corrupted and to recreate it, which I did. Then I was told to downgrade my iTunes to an older version. Guess what? I can't because my library was created with a newer version. I cannot make changes to my account because I cannot sign in to iTunes since it won't stay up long enough.
Anyone have any luck fixing this crap program??

CANNOT DISPLAY A WORD/EXCEL DOC IN BLOB FIELD INTO A PDF REPORT

We created a report that should display several kinds of documents at one time.
These documents are stored in BLOB columns in database. We had no problem to
display txt, gif or jpeg, but we could not display doc, xls, pdf or html
documents.
In this report we set three different fields in which display different kinds
of documents depending on mimetype. The first field has FileFormat property set
to 'Text' in order to display 'text/plain' and 'text/html' mimetype documents.
The second field has it set to 'Image', which allow to display 'image/bmp',
'image/gif', 'image/x-png', 'image/pjpeg' mimetypes. The third field has this
property set to 'OLE2', and here is where we would like to display other
mimetype documents as 'application/msword', 'application/vnd.ms-excel',
'application/pdf'.

I have already read a lot of notes in Metalink but I could not find any
solution. Is there any way to display a Word/Excel document from database in a
report?
We tried to convert Word/Excel docs to html format, but when we tried to
display an HTML document in the report, we found that Oracle Reports displays
the source code instead of the HTML format document. So, this did not work.
What can we do?
We also read somewhere that a possible solution would be to convert Word/Excel
documents to a common format like GIF, JEPD or PDF. If processed as gif or jped
the file could be displayed in the report. If processed as pdf the document
could be linked in the report.
I tried to display a PDF in the report but a blank box is displayed. How can I

I have the same problem. I need to show up a BLOB, word file(.doc), in a custom report. I made a simple query, extracting file_date( the column having the blog (.doc) file) from the database, in the report and placed it on a layout by assigning it to a field "F_1". I addressed the file format as OLE2.
But when I run the Report in APPS, it shows up an error "REP-1814: Report cannot be formatted. Object 'horizontally and vertically' can never fit within 'F_1'.". I also played with the layout by changing its size but the response had no change.
I am using Reports6i and the output format of the report is PDF. Is there a way to resolve the issue? Please share the solution if you have any for this.

FR ::Excel formula converted into FR(IF)

I have a 2 conditionsin in excel which i need to convert into FR
1) IF(E3=E5,"",e4)
2) =IF(E3="","",E4-E5)
I have tried with conditional formate like
conditional formated by replacing space(blank) but it is working for only one condition
and Itried
IFTHEN(row[3]=row[5], ,row[4]) its throwing error how can romove the syntax error

It doesn't like that blank parameter. Is it sufficient to do IFTHEN([3]=[5],0,[4]) ? If you really don't want to show 0 and nobody else has a solution you can use the formula I mentioned and replace 0 at run-time by either changing the whole grid property to show zeroes as nothing (blank) or you can use conditional formatting on that cell to replace value of 0 with nothing.

i am faceing a file download problem too..........
i am protecting jboss application,,,,using apache, and jk....
all work fine except for open a file(word,excel,txt,etc).
Disable the policy domain, everything goes just fine. microsoft file dialogue opens,you can open the file directly, or save it to your computer........
Enable the policy domain,, you can only save the file to your computer(file content is also correct),,,but cannot open it directly.it says the file path could not be found......but if the word/excel application is already running, you can open it fine...
PS:not a computer issue,,,every computers faceing the same problem

I have tried connection test from SM59 and there seems to be no problem.
How do I resolve this?

Goto RSA1 --> Source System --> right click --> Check.
Is it giving any error?
You can click on restore also and check if anything improves.
Also check whether datasource and transformation is active.

Cannot Make changes directly to table's field data

I need to make changes to table e.g ekko but when I enter table, the change option is in display mode and I cannot make direct changes to the table. I need to update some data in a field. I checked other tables as well, but all have change option as display.
Is there any settings required to get the table in change mode?

I dont understand what to do in point 1, how to generate view of table, can you make it little easier to follow. I tried database table i.e. ekko and when I click change it asks access key, which I dont have as I guess I have to get it from SAP..

SAPoffice DOC convert into PDF

i hope anyone can help in this subforum.
I posted my issue as follows in Convert Workflow Document into PDF file , but i think here it is in a better place.
My ABAP Function Module:
I create a function module with the first step to convert my SAPoffice object ( SOFM - Doctype DOC) into internal table, therefore i implement the standard FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1'. The export table "OBJECT_CONTENT" of the standard FM was transfer to the other standard FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'. That works great. I get an attached as DOC.
My Issue:
Convert DOC (Internal Table) into PDF. Have anyone an advise or function module for that.

Administrator account cannot make changes to Apple RAID?

Hi all,
I need help: I cannot delete files or folders on the TOP LEVEL of my Apple RAID (connected via fibre channel).
My account has administrator privileges, and I CAN 'unlock' the lock on the drive folder, BUT it won't allow me to make changes, or allow changes to 'stick'.
I cannot get disk utility to 'verify permissions' on the RAID; the option is greyed out.
I CAN delete files in subfolders, but the top level of folders and files cannot be changed or deleted. By 'top level' I mean what you see when you click on the RAID drive icon on your desktop - the files/folders in the top level of that drive's directory.
Any ideas how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any insight.

HT1918 Trying to make make account changes to my itunes account. Receive error message regarding province "enter at most 3 letters" when the only option I have is to select from a drop down menu. Cannot make changes to my account. How do I get this fix

I am attempting to make changes to my itunes account, but when I hit done, an error message "enter at most 3 letters or numbers for province" appears. I have not attempted to make any modificaitons to this field. The only options I have for data in this field are picked from a drop down menu. I have no idea why this msg is appearing. Any ideas on why it is showing up? Thanks.
