Cannot make changes without clearing cache

I am having a problem when making changes of any sort to any page. In order for my change to show up, I have to clear entire web cache through webcache admin page. For instance, I tried to delete a group from access privelge list from one of my tabs and it would not show up until after I had cleared entire webcache. This applies to anything now, any change I make I have to clear entire webcache. Please help!!!

To add to Erik's answer the invalidation messages are sent from the Portal repository (utl_http) database direct to the Web Cache invalidation port, it is common for customers to erroneously set up a firewall blocking HTTP traffic form the db tier to the WC tier which results in the symptoms you describe.

Cannot make changes to system HD - partition layout greyed out

Hi!
I recently reformatted my entire drive and reinstalled Lion with the official Lion USB recovery tool/usb. Now in disk utility the Partition Layout option is greyed out and I can not seem to re partition my disk. I´ve tried repairing my disk rights but still its greyed out.
I ran a demo of iPartition and this message was flagged:
"You cannot make changes to the disk from which your system booted.
To make changes to this disk, you should either boot from an external drive, use Target Disk Mode with another Mac, or create a bootable CD/DVD."
Does this mean I can only make changes with it when booting with the usb? This doesn´t make sense as it worked on the default startdisk before. Does anyone have solution?

Are you opening a PDF file in browser and trying to edit the PDF file there?
Please let me know in more details.
In general most PDF files cannot be edited in browser and some PDF can be edited with the permission for editing in browsers.

Cannot make changes to the contents of this read-only folder

I recently got a new laptop and loaded Office 2013. We have three inboxes in Outlook and are using Cox IMAP. I get the following message when I try to delete emails from the primary inbox "Cannot make changes to the contents of this read-only
folder". Emails can be deleted from the other folders with no problem.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

As per the information and details provided by you, to solve the problem of Outlook inbox folder, please follow these steps: -
Step 1: - If you are unable to delete all emails from a given Outlook folder, most likely that folder is locked.
Restarting Windows should fix it.
Step 2: - If you are unable to delete only some emails, then your
Outlook data file might be corrupted.
Step 3: -
Empty your Deleted items mail folder, then try again to delete emails.
Step 4: -
Hard deletes the selected emails – While the emails are highlighted/selected, keep the
Shift key pressed and hit the Delete key.
Step 5: -
Restart Outlook in Safe Mode and try deleting the emails from there.
Step 6: -
Edit the culprit email (Actions > Edit Message), save it back and try to delete it.

Fix iTunes!!!!! I cannot make changes to my account because I cannot sign in to iTunes since it won't stay up long enough.

This is stupid. Since iTunes 12 came out I cannot open the P.O.S. software on my computer (Windows 7 64-bit). I have uninstalled the correct way, was told that my iTunes library was corrupted and to recreate it, which I did. Then I was told to downgrade my iTunes to an older version. Guess what? I can't because my library was created with a newer version. I cannot make changes to my account because I cannot sign in to iTunes since it won't stay up long enough.
Anyone have any luck fixing this crap program??

Cannot make changes t oDTP - Source system does not exist

I cannot open my DTP to make changes. when I tried to double click I got this error
Source system X01CLNT001 does not exist
Message no. RSAR203
I have tried connection test from SM59 and there seems to be no problem.
How do I resolve this?

Goto RSA1 --> Source System --> right click --> Check.
Is it giving any error?
You can click on restore also and check if anything improves.
Also check whether datasource and transformation is active.

Refresh parent without clearing cache

Hi:
Does a parent window reload clear the cache of the parent window as well?
I have a custom lov. The pop0up wworks fine. The only way I seem to be able to assign the value back to the parent and have it display is to refresh the parent window from the popup. However, it seems to be clearing the cache of the parent and the values in the fields that were there get blanked out.
Is there a way of reloading the parent window without clear the cache?

I experimented a bit and resolved it.
Originally, from my popu; window I was calling the following:
window.opener.location.reload(true)
However, you need to leave out the value and call the following:
window.opener.location.reload()
This works fine and the original values on the parent are not cleared.
Problem resolved.

Cannot make an automatic clearing with F.13

Hi,
I'm trying to make an automatic clearing using F.13, but there's a document that cannot be cleared - after performing the transaction, this document appears in the section "no clearing" inside Update run" Additional Log. On Update run" Error Log the message is "KI 222 Cost center xxx does not exist on 01.04.2011. I'm performing the step in the production run.
If anyone could help me, it would be great.

I think cost centers are coming into picture because of exchange rate gain or loss accounts that are maintained in transaction OB09. In OB09 you would maintain GL Accounts for exchange rate loss or gain for the clearing accounts. Check the P&L Accounts maintained here for the account you are trying to clear first. Then look at KA03 and see if there is any cost center maintained. If there is no cost center there, you can check in transaction OKB9 if there is any automatic account assignment maintained. If there is a cost center here, you can go and check the validity periods in KS02 or KS03 and maintain the correct validity periods.

Cannot Make changes directly to table's field data

I need to make changes to table e.g ekko but when I enter table, the change option is in display mode and I cannot make direct changes to the table. I need to update some data in a field. I checked other tables as well, but all have change option as display.
Is there any settings required to get the table in change mode?

I dont understand what to do in point 1, how to generate view of table, can you make it little easier to follow. I tried database table i.e. ekko and when I click change it asks access key, which I dont have as I guess I have to get it from SAP..

Administrator account cannot make changes to Apple RAID?

Hi all,
I need help: I cannot delete files or folders on the TOP LEVEL of my Apple RAID (connected via fibre channel).
My account has administrator privileges, and I CAN 'unlock' the lock on the drive folder, BUT it won't allow me to make changes, or allow changes to 'stick'.
I cannot get disk utility to 'verify permissions' on the RAID; the option is greyed out.
I CAN delete files in subfolders, but the top level of folders and files cannot be changed or deleted. By 'top level' I mean what you see when you click on the RAID drive icon on your desktop - the files/folders in the top level of that drive's directory.
Any ideas how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any insight.

HT1918 Trying to make make account changes to my itunes account. Receive error message regarding province "enter at most 3 letters" when the only option I have is to select from a drop down menu. Cannot make changes to my account. How do I get this fix

I am attempting to make changes to my itunes account, but when I hit done, an error message "enter at most 3 letters or numbers for province" appears. I have not attempted to make any modificaitons to this field. The only options I have for data in this field are picked from a drop down menu. I have no idea why this msg is appearing. Did safari come without clear cache in the iOS 5?

HI, I just upgrade my ipad2 with its 5. But can't find clear cache in safari...is it the latest update?

Is the Cache the same as History?
I found two ways to delete History. One is to run Safari, click on the Bookmarks icon and select History. Clear History is listed to the right of the History title.
The other is using Settings. Go to Settings-Safari-Clear History. There is also an option to Clear Cookies and Data.

Website won't update changes without clearing history/cache?

I am in charge of a construction project website that I update weekly for a local community. I make the updates and the files upload to the server correctly, but webpages' changes do not show up for me unless I clear my history, or put a "?" at the end of the url. This is fine for me to do this, but for visitors who bookmark my website and/or visit it frequently, I don't think it is realistic to have each visitor clear their history each week before visiting the website. What can I do so that they see the updates easily? Thank you for any suggestions.

If you want to prevent the files from being cached at all, you can add the following <meta> tags in the <head> of the page:

However, this won't necessarily affect the behaviour of proxy servers. Some ISPs use proxy servers to store web pages to speed up their delivery. If you're having to clear your cache each time, it could be a proxy server that's not being cleared on a regular basis.

Why is my gmail inbox not refreshing without clearing cache

without refreshing the cache on the browser, i cannot see any new gmail inbox contents.
gmail site knows this as a fault and says to revert to a stable version of the browser. I am on 3.6, which, as far as i am aware, is the latest stable version.

There is no Flash player version 15... as in your code:

For some reason Adobe thought it would be a good idea to target a Flash player version (15) as default.....which may be out a couple years in the future. Go figure!!!
If you don't like player version 9, change to 10 or 11.... just not 15 (yet).

Cannot make changes that stay to color palette for an Apple shape

I really hope someone can help me. This seems like it should be simple so clearly i am doing something wrong. On my menu, I have used an Apple shape (line highlight 64x4) as a button. The problem is that I cannot change the color of the button to the pantone I need. I have gone into the color tab and hit "edit palette" and then opened colors, gotten the color I want and am dragging it to the color option bars, and it goes into one of the boxes, replacing one of the existing colors. But when I go to select the color as my active highlight, it's not there. Can someone please help?

I continually have this same problem and have never found an answer that resolves it once and for all. I had this problem on my last computer and am encountering it again even after completely reinstalling windows along with office.I
I have three IMAP email accounts but only one of them, the largest by far, has this issue. I also have a Google Calendar which is synchronized with my outlook calendar using a tool called Sync2 from 4Team. I asked them about this problem and they say they
never heard of it.
I have looked several times for a solution to this issue but like in this post there is never a solution provided.
The other pertinent information is first that I am the only user of this computer, there is only one account defined in Windows and I have administrative rights to it. Second, the problem comes and goes. I may be locked out of deleting emails
for a few hours and then all of a sudden Outlook will load a bunch of new emails and allow me to work my inbox. Other times I may not see this problem for a few days and then suddenly it is back again. Rebooting does not correct the issue nor does just
restarting Outlook.
Does anyone know what causes this problem and how to resolve it?
