Cannot make free calls with updated software

I recently downloaded the latest version of Skype and can no longer make free international calls to another Skype user I have communicated with for years. Is the free option no longer available or is there something wrong with the software? I have a desktop all-in-one Win 8.1 -- same setup I have used to make calls.

Test this by noting exactly where in your house that this takes place and also where it does NOT. Repeat until you have a "Map" of the good and bad spots.
You cannot do much about the cellular signal but may be able to troubleshoot the interference problem. This document talks about Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but the "Sources" might also apply to your cellular signal problem - radio waves are radio waves.

I cannot make outgoing call with uc500.

please help
i have uc500 router. i have conifured my dial peers very simply . i can receive the call from outside . but i cannot make a call. whenever i am trying to make a call.
just Ring Out is appearing with starting buy tone or some time it going telecom company. this is my simple dial peers configuration

Please collect below debugs from uc500 and attach it here.
Router(config)# logging buffer 5000000
Router#debug voip ccapi inout
Router#debug vpm signal
Router#debug voip vtsp default
Router#debug voip vtsp session
Router#Clear log
Now make one test outgoing call and re-create the issue.
Router# undebug all --->turn off debugs
Router# show log----->collect the entire output of this and attach it here
Mention calling and called numbers.

If i get a message to update my Fierefox i tried to make contact with the update server, but this does not work

since i updated my iphone4s i have been having problems making outgoing calls... cannot send sms either.. got a call and thats about it since the update.. pls i need help with this.. i have tried the *#31# that did not work, switched off the wifi and all, nothing worked.. tnx in advance

The same thing is happening with my wife's iPhone 4 and we can't figure it out. When placing a call, the screen freezes and she needs to restart the entire phone.
She upgraded to 5.01 this morning over the air while it was plugged in. Immediately afterwards, this problem started happening. We've tried restarting the phone several times and plugged in to iTunes but there's nothing she can do do to fix it.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

That is a carrier-based service. So first you have to make sure your service contract includes that feature.
It usually also includes Call Hold. So you call the first party, put them on hold, call the second, then reactivate the first. But only if your carrier allows you to.

There aren't any supported carriers in Pakistan. Apple hasn't released the iPhone there. The OP is using a grey-market iPhone and hence is pretty much on his/her own as regards getting this phone working with the carrier, unless that carrier can help.

Can't make Offnet Calls with Video Advantage on

I am no expert so I could be missing something basic. However, I have a Cisco phone that is logged in and is enabled for video. I installed the Video Advantage and all works well. I can make onNet calls with Video advantage on. However, I cannot make offnet calls. If I exit video advantage I can once again make offNet calls.
Any Ideas?

IPhone 6 Plus cannot make outgoing calls and cannot send text messages

I haven't been able to make outgoing calls and outgoing messages through my iPhone6+ since yesterday.
I have done research and have tried suggestions like turning the phone into airplane mode, turning off the iPhone, re-setting the network settings, erased all the content of my iPhone and restored backup, erased all contents and used as new phone but I still cannot make outgoing calls nor can I send test messages. At first I thought I did not have sufficient money on my sim card however when I tried my simcard on another iPhone, it worked perfectly. I also tried another simcard on my iPhone, but it still can't make a call. I have never had this problem since I got my new iPhone6+ last December. This is the first time I've had a problem like this with an iPhone and I've been using the iPhone since iPhone 4s,iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. Could there be something wrong with the unit that I have? Is there any other troubleshooting I could do?

If you restored the device as new and it did not work, then I suggest you contact your carrier. The function of phone calls and SMS messages is a carrier function. They would need to test your account. Your only other option would be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have the device examined.
Can you receive a call and/or message? If so, then I would suspect the SIM and the carrier.

I need help i don't know what happened about apple since i've installed ios 4.0.1 in my 3gs iphone it reboots when i'm calling, i hear metallic sounds, i lose signal sometimes and now i cannot make outgoing calls it's crazy.

My default printer was "Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Series" as usual. There were two or three printer icons with XPS in their names. I deleted all with XPS in their name. The printing began working immediately! THANK YOU.
