Cannot make purchases on iPad

I cannot make purchases on iPad. I've the updated the card info and it works fine on my cell phone but not on my iPad. Suggestions?

I'm having the same issue - contacted Itunes support - fixes the problem for a day then can not make in app purchases. The support people(& I've spoken to numerous people) say its a glitch on their end and the Engineers are looking into it. That was 3 days ago and no word - I was told to expect an e-mail from them within 24-48 hours. I have had to now go out and by Itunes cards just to make in app purchases. Originally they told me it was my credit card - changed cards and no difference, then I contacted my credit card company(s) and was told no issues with my card(s) - all up to date. Its quite frustrating dealing with these folks with no resolution.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

What does it mean if i cannot make purchases on iPod touch 5th generation?

My iPod touch is about a year old, 5th generation, IOS 1.7.2, and has 1.0 GB available, but I cannot make app purchases, even if it is a free app. It shows as downloaded in settings, but is not on the homepage. My friend said I needed to jailbreak it. Is this true?

There is not IOS 1.7.2 for the 5G iPod.
What exactly happens when you try to purchase/install an app?
To download and install an app the iPod needs storage available equal to about three times the file download size.
If you sync from your iTunes library less storage available is required.
Does the app/iPod meet this?

IPhone 5S cannot make purchase with App Store (login issue)

Ok - I am rather irritated. I tried to purchase a 99 cent app, and upon tapping the purchase button, the App Store insisted that I enter my Apple ID password (what happened to using your fingerprint, which worked when I bought the phone?). Ok - so I enter the correct password.
I am then confronted with another window that states that I need to confirm my ID - and it has me enter my password again - then says I need to answer two security questions... which I did. It tells me I did not answer one or both correctly and to try again. I again entered what I absolutely KNOW is the correct info - and it repeatedly gave the same message... until it finally said I would be locked out from making any further purchases, and to contact customer support.
Funny - I can log in using iTunes on my MacBook Pro and am having no issues whatsoever with that. I can view my account, make purchases, etc.
So what gives?

I have no idea what the deal is - but I somehow "fixed" this... I manually logged in to my apple ID on my MacBook Pro, went to the security section and confirmed my security question answers (I had them right, just as I thought). Closed out that page, went back to my iPhone and simply tapped the "go" button again (same answers, same questions) - and it logged in just fine...
Must have been an App Store glitch...

I see you are not receiving the security question reset link, see the last sentence under Note in step 5 as it is the best resolution to this issue.
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.

I have a balance of $40 in my account. Trying to purchase an app for $39.99. When I attempt to finalize purchase I'm asked for a cc number because it doesn't think there is enough money in my account. HELP!!!

You are probably not accounting for sales taxes, which in most states in the US, where I'm guessing you are, will push the cost well over $40. You'll need to provide a credit card or another iTunes card to purchase that app.

I am extremely upset. I purchased my iPad in SA and I am traveling in Greece. When I want to make use of the free apps, I get a message that the app is not available in the SA store. What is the point of having an iPad if you cannot use it worldwide?

When I change to the US store the same thing happens. What is the point of having an iPad if I cannot use it worldwide??? I feel that I wasted my money purchasing it as I specifically purchased it to use when I travel. How can I get access to all the available apps and why are they restricted.

You can use your iPad worldwide. However, each AppleID is tied to
a specific country's store. To use the AppStore in any country, you
must be in that country and have a credit/debit card issued by a financial
institution in that country with a verified billing address in that country.
It is the developer's choice which AppStores he makes his app available
from, and some countries prohibit certain apps.
To make a purchase from the US store (including downloading a free app
available in the US store), you must be in the US and have card issued
in the US with verified billing address in the US.
You can use your purchases from the SA store worldwide, but you
cannot make purchases in other than the SA store unless you meet
the aforesaid conditions.
