Cannot map webDAV folder from W2K

I am trying to map my workspace using WebDAV folder from a W2K box and it keeps prompting me the user/password. If I try the same from WindowsXP box it works. Also if I use somebody else's user/password I can map to his workspace in W2k.
I tried opening a TAR but Oracle Support haven't been of any help... Any ideas?

It's rare, but we have had the same problem.
On our setup there are two ports available, 7777 and 7778. I think 7778 is a cached version.
Anyway, sometimes 7778 will work instead of 7777. I think it has something to do with the IE service pack and patch level, but I haven't experimented.
Another solution was to upgrade the machine to WinXP.

Today I set up a WebDAV folder on the server and tested it by logging on from my MacPro using the Finder in Leopard. However, when I boot up into Windows using Boot Camp and then try to create a new Network Place, my server won't authenticate the user from Windows. I've tried just about everything I can think of but Windows XP just can't get onto the sever. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Create new network place with Add Network Place wizard. Even if you are connecting to a default HTTP port 80 specify the port in the address string, and the exact folder: http://example.webdavsystem.com:80/storage/.

Cannot copy iTunes folder from Windows to Mac because of Permission

I have my iTunes library on a windows machine, running windows 7. The library is organized inside the iTunes folder.
I am trying to put this same iTunes onto my new macbook pro. I tried copying the folder to an external HD and plugging that into my mac. When I tried to just copy the iTunes folder to the Mac HD I got:
I messed around with the permissions in Windows, but I couldn't get it to change. I tried everything I could find in the security tab for the disk and the permissions on the folder.
I decided to try and see if iTunes could just do it itself. So I replaced it itunes library (which was blank) on my Mac with that of my windows. I then opened a song, and followed the promt to locate it. iTunes found all my songs (on the external HD) just as you would expect. Now I tried to consolidate to get everything over to the mac. About halfway through i got this error:
So SOME of the songs and apps and books copied over but only about half and now it won't go any further. I went back to windows and tried to mess with the HD secruities again, but nothing worked.
One more note: when I open the HD on my mac it says "You have read access only" in the security tab. I know every other thread on this like suggests changing that but there is nowhere for me to do that.
Can anyone help me?

That's not what I would expect if you copied the entire /iTunes/ folder to the new computer.
Try this...
Open a Finder window.
Select Users/yourusernname.
Right click - get info.
Scroll to the bottom (Sharing & Permissions).
Make sure you can Read & Write.
Click the gear icon at bottom and select Apply to enclosed items.
Let it finish.
Delete the /Music/iTunes/ folder.
Then copy the entire /iTunes/ folder from the external to /Music/ on the internal.

I cannot erase a folder from my phone

I own a nokia 5700 xpress music, and i have a problem with it, i installed some time ago some games that i didn't know if they were recommended for my nokia 5700, afterward i came to the conclusion that they were not because they were not starting, i tried to uninstall them but no use so i created a folder where i moved them and i tried to erase the folder. The same result, no use. What can i do else, someone please help me.

You might want to reformat your phone in this case.
Use OVI Suite to back everything up you want to keep: contacts, messages etc.
Then enter this from standby: *#7370#
You will be prompted for your security code. Unless you've changed it (in which case you should know what it is) it'll be the Nokia default security code 12345.
You can then use OVI suite again to restore the data you backed up previously.

Cannot permanently delete folder from trash

I had a folder called blah. I must have messed up some terminal command, and I inadvertantly created a seemingly infinite (i.e. very very large) number of nested subfolders within blah, each named blah. So, inside blah, was a folder named blah, and inside that was a folder named blah, and inside that was a folder named blah and....you get the idea.
I tried to delete the whole mess, but when I empty my trash, it persists! How can I get rid of it?

Okay, that solved it, except that I had to input rm -rf ~/.Trash/*
and NOT "Trashes." It accepted your version of the command, but it didn't do anything discernible. I noticed that entering Trashe and trying to press tab to autocomplete didn't work, suggesting that maybe Trashes doesn't exist. However, trying to autocomplete with fewer letters typed indicated to me that Trash DOES exist, and so I went ahead with that and it worked.

Mount webdav folder on OS Lion

Hi I have iomega ix2-200 cloud edition nas drive and use it on regular basis thru wireless connection on afp command. The drive can easily be mounted on finder.
The issue arises when I am outside (home network) and want to access nas drive. Currently, I am using filezilla to download/upload information however it is getting messier every time due to amount of files being edited.
I was reading thru article and came across WebDAV secure link which is available on this device. I have enabled and successfully connected my win7 machine ( as mapped WebDAV folder). Mac however does not want to know, even though I am sure connect tab does offer WebDAV connectivity.
I have already spoken to iomega support and according to them it is mac issue and not fault with nas drive. Can you please guide me on how should I mount WebDAV folder ( ie http/https) on finder.

Using Photoshop CC I cannot save images to folder from Camera Raw as Tif. I get message 'write permission error'. I am using Widows 7 Professional.

I have just changed to Photoshop CC from CS4 and cannot now save images from Camera Raw. I get message 'write permission error'. I assume there is some permissions setting which did not exist with CS4.
I cannot progress unless I revert to CS4. What am I failing to do?

I'd suggest that rather than deleting the file, you move it out of the folder to somewhere else, in case things get worse and you need to put it back.
I found this by Googling the error message.
If you can't figure it out, you might post in the "Downloading, Installing and Set Up" or "Adobe Creative Cloud" forums since it seems to be related to the Cloud updates, and not necessarily ACR plug-in functionality, and I've seen India support people actually tackle problems posted there, which rarely happens in the ACR forum, although an ACR engineer may sometimes pop in to answer questions, they'd be less likely to know how to fix deployment issues.

We are facing the below issue when performing a homogeneous system copy of NW 7.0 system using backup/restore method for DB6 system.

We went through the SAP Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2049842, and followed the same but no luck.
We updated the Kernel to the latest, but still no luck.
Request for your quick help as we have to complete it by EOD today.

It sounds like you're trying to replace a home folder. Replace the contents of the folder instead, or use Migration Assistant.

Cannot browse folder from save's window dialog

Hi suddenly I cannot change the directory where save open document (I've tryied with preview and text edit), more precisely when I try to choose another folder whatever, but different from the default, I don't see its content but only an icon of the folder and a determining size text, and save button greyed.
(Par. I can see only shared folder from the side bar of finder's windows.)
Could be that I've opened an ftp server with Finder and it was displayed with many folder with same name "_?" ... and that cause some problem?

Just another restart resolved problem.
After restart (Forced since I was stuck with blue screen and color ball) I can see Devices/Shared/Places in the side bare and choose where save open document.

Cannot add files recursively to a WebDAV folder

Dear all,
I successfully setup a WebDAV folder with Access Control List on my Mac OS X 10.4 Server. I can upload and download files to this WebDAV folder with a 10-person workgroup. Everyone is able to read the write files to this folder.
However, if any of us connect to this folder through Finder and try to upload a folder, for example "folderA" with subfolders and files, I have the following 2 problems:
1. Since "folderA" has subfolders and my WebDAV server will complained that I don't have sufficient privileges to some of the items.
2. If "folderA" doesn't have any subfolder but it has a large number of files, WebDAV server will sometimes ask for authentication every other files.
I have already set up in Workgroup Manager so that the WebDAV folder is accessible by all memeber of my workgroup with "FULL CONTROL" and HTTP Users with "READ & WRITE". Also, in Server Admin, Web configuration, I have setup Realms to have all memeber of my workgroup to be able to Browse and Author.
Please let me know if there is any advice on this.

Cannot open mail "home folder is full" after importing mail folder from time machine

hello, sorry for my poor english.
after an erase and reboot of my harddisk with new os yosemite installed, i've copied the mail folder from the time machine backup. but when i tried to open mail app it start to "import the mail box" and then stops saying that the home folder ins full, but it isn't, i've over 300gb free

What is your hard drive capacity and available free space after deleting a ton of stuff?
Try the following.
With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail > Envelope Index.
Move the Envelope Index file to the Desktop.
When re-launching Mail, you will be prompted to import all mailboxes located within the Mail folder at Home > Library > Mail. Select OK and allow the import process to complete.
After confirming all mailboxes were successfully imported, you can delete the old Envelope Index file from the Desktop and this should resolve the problem.

Save As Copy to WebDAV folder does not work

In Windows XP with latest reader (9.3.3), I cannot perform "Save As Copy" to a WebDAV folder. Contents of the folder is blank in the Save As dialog, and clicking the save button shows the following error:
"You Cannot Save in the Folder You Specified. Please Choose Another Location."
I was convinced that it was because Reader used the old dialog that doesn't support WebDAV as described here:

However, I then discovered that when doing the same from Windows 7 and Windows Vista, I do not experience this problem. I have since made a clean install Windows XP to a virtual PC for testing, and I get the same problem.
I found from one source that the web server should have Reader installed to register the MIME type for IIS. I installed it but to no avail.
Any help is appreciated.

I have a 2008 R2 server which is used as SQL 2005 server. My application program shared from the server. My win 7 client use a map network drive to access my share folder from my windows server. Suddenly my clients lost my connection. Since then i
cannot connect to the folder and i got the message
Windows cannot access \\Server\Storage

Details: Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found.
I check out my share permissions, all seems ok. I also check out firewall, services, TCP/IP, share folders, really almost everything but still nothing.

Yes what seems to happened is due to virus infections.
This problem started 2 weeks a go. First i had network connection error with my client. Them my application had respond errors. Finally i lost my network drive.
I realize that the problem was due to virus. My old antivirus program doesn't s scan any threats so i uninstalled it, and i installed Panta antivirus and i clean up my server and my clients from virus. I am sure that both are clean from virus. My antivirus
program runs every day with no traces of infections.
Since then i cannot see my share folders on my server side and i cannot map network drive.
One thing that i want to avoid is re-installation of windows server 2008 R2.
Can anyone help about this
