Cannot Move Apps from Itunes Library to my touch

Have a touch with software version 1.1.5. I have downloaded apps and they currently reside in a folder in my Itunes library. However, there is no Apps tab under my "device" and I cannot get the apps to synch to my IPOD Touch. They are only on my PC. I have updated my software but cannot get the Apps from the library to the device. Any help?

Apps are only available on ios 2 or later.

So how exactly are you wanting to or trying to add content to your iPod? Manually or via automatic syncing? Do you have content stored in your iTunes library that you can play? Any error messages when you try to add or sync content to it?
What didn't work? Need A LOT more detail here in order to assist you.

I purchased the iPhone app Emerald Chronometer. I lost it during an OS download. I tried to download it as I had before on the phone, and the system said file too big, use iTunes. I downloaded it to iTunes, but see no way to get it to the iphone.

Thanks Dave. I'm getting increasingly frustrated because twice I got some way with a sync of apps and then got error messages. One was that the iPad had 'disconnected', which I just don't follow. And despite at least 20 or so apps apparently getting synced (i.e. seen in the 'progress bar at the top'), oly a couple are now displayed:

I closed the error message and tried the Sync button again, and that apparently started a backup. That's been going for 15 mins or so, and I'm a bit worried because the connected iPad was displaying a message 'Not charging'. So if the backup continues for hours it may well exhaust the battery.
Reckon I'll sleep on it and get back on the case in the morning, including trying your suggestion.

I tend to delete all unneeded apps from iTunes library on my Mac, because when I delete them from there, it just take one syncing session to deleted them from all my other devices. But recently I noticed that this way is no longer helpful, now I have to delete each app on my iPhone, iPad and Mac manually. So if anyone can help me to make iTunes recur to the previous pehevior, please replay ASAP.

I have the same problem! I recently decided to clean up my devices. The first thing that came to my mind was to delete an App from iTunes, sync and get rid of it on all other devices. I was surprised that it stays on iDevices evem after you delete it from iTunes. I don't want it this way. DOes anyone know of a trick that can allow me delete an app just once?
Before if you delete an App from iTunes and try to Sync an iPhone or an iPad with it, you would see a window telling you that there are items on your iphone that are not present in iTunes - do you want to copy them? Now it just "syncs" and leaves the Apps untouched. What kind of synchronization is this?

Try downloading the apps from your phone
App store > tap updates> tap purchased> tap not on this iphone> click on the cloud with the down arrow for the app you want to download"

Go to the apps tab, select sync apps, select the apps that you want to sync.

Apps can be used with only one account. You can sync to more than one iphone from that account, but the app will not transfer to another account.

I cannot move music to my library on our computer to my iPhone. I haven't done this in probably a year now but have always been able to in the past. I can see my phone on itunes and can view the library of songs on my computer but when I go to move a song it shows that circle with the line through it. I even tried right clicking on the song and adding to the iphone but no luck.

How do you sync apps from iTunes (PC) to iPod Touch?

I know I go to Devices> -device name + firmware- > Apps > now, I check the box that says sync apps, and add my downloaded apps from iTunes PC and when I click APPLY, I box comes up and says "Are you sure you want to remove ## apps, including (app name) from the (device+ Device name)? This will delete the app and data from the device?

I have transferred songs in the past with no problem. Not sure what is different now or what I'm doing wrong-I am very new at this and any help is greatly appreciated.

How is your iPod configured to sync music? In other words, what options and configurations do you have enabled from under your iPod's Summary and Music tabs in iTunes?

Two Marvel (Disney) movies removed from iTunes library

I have had two movies (Thor and Captain America:The First Avenger) , removed from my iTunes library.
I have chatted with support and they say the content provider has removed the content, thus my purchases are no longer available. However, if I search iTunes, the movies are available for purchase. I discovered the Disney Movies Anywhere app and was able to view the movies there, but that still doesn't put the movies back in my iTunes library and thus I cannot watch them on my apple tv.
I asked for a credit to repurchase the movies, but Apple refused.
Anyone have this same issue and tips for remedying the situation?

Hmm, it is only very recently (about 6 months ago I think) that the policy on Music changed. Prior to that you would be routinely reminded to back up all purchases (immediately after the successfully completed download), unless of course you ticked an option not to be reminded again. The change in policy (in our favour) would have been noted in the small print that neither you or I read when upgrading iTunes, though we say that we have.
Again I'm still not certain if audiobooks are excluded from both "Music" and "Books". One would hope that they belonged to one category or the other in respect of redownloading. In the past, in the event of an absolute disaster, fatal hard-drive crash, fire etc. some users have been able to prevail upon the charity of the iTunes store staff who would occasionaly grant a second, but never a third, download of past purchases.
The restictions on different types of media are ultimately imposed by the rights holders, not Apple. It is in Apple's interests to offer the same terms as their competitors, so my guess is that nobody currently offers unlimited repeat downloads of movies. Certainly the unique codes you get on some DVDs/Blu-Rays are one-time only.
Backup all (or at least the non-replaceable parts) of your library with this User Tip.

Cannot transfer mp4 from iTunes library to iPod

I have an mp4 that plays fine in my iTunes library, but won't transfer to my iPod, I just get the 'cannot be played on this iPod' message. I've tried going to Advanced and 'create iPod version' but then I get a movie with just a blank white page. Any ideas for why this would happen or what I might need to do to
convert it further (and if so, in clear terms as I'm not very good at that type of thing without explicit directions!) Thank you!

poor thing. you've been having a rough time of it with problems lately. my sympathies.
i reset, restored and did everything i can possibly think of, and now the msg pops up "disk cannot be read or written to". is my hard drive damaged?
here's a good place to start with that error message. (there are actually a bunch of different things that can be causing it.)
