Cannot move past License Agreement

After using the latest version of itunes 7 for weeks, I had the semi-common problem of not being able to select any options that came up in windows on top of the regular itunes screen. This included the preferences window, any pop-up warnings about volume (this later became an issue), but since I could still access my music and ipod, I didn't care too much. Then, I made the mistake of turning the volume on itunes all the way down before I closed it. So i got the stupid pop-up telling me that the volume was turned all the way down, which I then could not move past.
So then, I updated to itunes 8 with the hope of fixing the problem. Now, I've installed 8, got quicktime on my computer and everything, but when the licensing agreement comes up, I cannot click accept. The window is that light grey color like its sitting behind something and all I get are those annoying error sounds on Vista. I have already tried reinstalling quicktime and itunes (yes, i manually removed all of the program files and then restarted). NOTHING WORKS. So ive got thousands of songs...and an ipod that are useless.
PLEEEEEASSSE HELP ME!
thanks

If you aren't seeing all the buttons try increasing your screen resolution to at least 1024x768 so you can see the whole page, you'll find the instructions on this Microsoft page: Windows XP - Change your monitor resolution
Click the little Agree box then the Continue button, (there's no need to save the agreement).

  • AIR won't move past license agreement.

I have an HP computer running windows vista service pack 2.  I have attempted to download the trial for After Effects, but when AIR pops up to do the license agreement I accept it and it closes.  Then nothing happens.  The download doesn't proceed. I tried to open the Download Manager as well and the same thing occurred.  I have redownloaded AIR twice to make sure that it is not an old version. Help me please!

  • Can't get past License Agreement

I just got a new Ipod nano, and for the past three days I've been trying to get it to work. For some reason I can't get past saving the License Agreement. I've done it atleast twenty times. Help?

Are you seeing a Continue button anywhere? Click the little Agree box then the Continue button, there's no need to save the agreement. If you aren't seeing all the buttons try increasing your screen resolution to at least 1024x768 so you can see the whole page: iTunes window does not display all options

  • I downloaded Adobe X Pro trial last night, loaded it, couldn't get past license agreement.

I downloaded Adobe X Pro trail last night after 7:00 p.m.Pacific Time   I loaded it, but once I clicked Accept on the license agreement the window closed, reopened to the license agreement, clicked accept, the window closed..... Repeat a few times and you get the idea.  Tried again this morning with same result.  I downloaded the package about two hours ago and my disk light is still flashing.  Is it still downloading?  If so, why did it load and install?  Why did it bring up the license agreement?  I am a self employed webmaster and this is preventing me from doing my work.  I don't work, I don't get paid.  Any advice to get this (swear word here) installed and working would be appreciated.

  • New Ipad, cannot move past wifi page, incorrect password?

I am a first time Ipad user, bought a new Ipad for my wife. I cannot get past the connect to wi-fi page. When I click on the recognized wifi link and enter my pass word I get a message saying 'incorrect password' I have checked and rechecked my password for the router and it is correct. Do I have a bad Ipad or????

The password is usually printed on the router's label.

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • Cannot move past the passbook menu screen. [not an iTunes issue]

I have tried a million times but cannot get Passbook past the screen below.  When I hit app store, I have no problem connecting to iTunes, although I know that was a major issue for many users.  I recetnly received an email from a retailer offering a coupon that could be added to Passbook.  Every time I got back to that email it says the coupon has been added to Passbook [see second picture] and every time I go to Passbook, all I see is the first picture.  Nowhere to go except the App Stoe.  Which is no help at all.  Not even a "help" option. It's driving me completely mad.  What a great idea and amazingly poor execution! Anyone have any idea what is going on?

  • I cannot get past the agree button on version 7 updated..

I have updated my husbands iPhone 4 to version 7 IOS and now when I get to the terms and conditions for icloud and apple I press the agre button and nothing happens.

    Hello CarlWhibberley,
I'd recommend restarting the iPhone. If you're still unable to tap 'Agree,' you'll need to reset the device.

  • HT1725 Cannot accept license agreement

I cannot accept the license agreement -- it is in an infiinite loop.  At the bottom of the Agreement the address is 1 Infitinite Loop at Apple, Inc.
    Is this a virus?

    Infinite Loop indeed! :-)
I'm having the same problem on my iPad and within iTunes on my Mac. It's preventing me from downloading all iTunes content, including movies and iOS apps.

  • Why will reader XI not let me accept the license agreement upon startup? Only Decline is available.

I have had to restore my Win 7 64-bit system due to Reader XI crashing on start-up due to internal error and it took Acrobat XI Pro with it. Now I cannot accept the license agreement. Tried Tab-Enter and that did not work. Any ideas? I need this for college classes immediately.
    Thanks.

I don't know why this is happening; I have never seen this before.  Try the following
using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader
double-click on Eula.exe and accept the License Agreement
If that still gives you the same problem, set the registry entry that you have accepted the License Agreement:
download, unzip, then run the registry script from https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/33ef697f-e339-49ab-bb3e-afc9057ece66

  • I can't get past the Software License Agreement in itunes

Whenever I connect my ipod to itunes all I get is the 'Software License Agreement' come up. Even though I've clicked the "I have read & agree to the license software agreement" & then saved it in 'My Documents' it never gets past this stage. Is this some kind of fault?
I can "drop & drag" music from itunes in to my ipod but I cannot see what's loaded on to it from itunes. I can also safely "eject" it from itunes. Attempting to reset my ipod doesn't appear to help either.

    Right click on the desktop.
    Select Properties.
    Click the Settings tab.
    Drag the slider to 1024x768.

  • IE10 Windows7 - iTunes opens maybe 3 times and then it thinks i am a new user.  I ge the license agreement again.  Apple SR Techs cannot figure it out.  Does this have to do with IE10?

Windows 7 - installed IE10.  Now every few times iTunes is opened I get the 'user license' agreement as if i am a new user.  Apple SR techs have been working with me for weeks and have NOT solved this problem.  i have a iPhone 4S, but this happens before I even plug in.  Can you help?  Also, second question:
Also, I have two apple accounts (mistake) and apple says that they cannot delete the invalid one!  When I finally can get on iTunes it asks if I want to merge or replace - I am told to do neither (i am syncing by plugging in the 4S to my computer - i have Outlook).  SO... right now i am unable to sync.  SR Tech says having the 2 accounts is not the problem - actually - 2 techs said it was and 1 says it is not.  SO frustrating!  Is there a way to resolve this?
    Thanks - CJ Texas

McAfee AntiVirus by any chance? See the thread Why does iTunes delete my itunesprefs.xml?
Not so sure about the suplemental question, but see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for tips to make sure you don't lose content from the device.
