Cannot open account settings email!

Please help me!
I'm not receiving any mail anymore from one of the two email addresses I have on my Blackberry Torch. I recently changed the password online for that email, but not on the blackberry website yet because I fail to log in. when I enter my username, or PIn, it says it will send the info to my device, but that obviously doesn't work.. How to proceed?

Please try this FIRST, using your BlackBerry browser...
1)
• Go to mobile.blackberry.com
• Scroll down to Communication and then to Email.
• Choose the appropriate email set up options.
If that works and completes your email setup/editing, good.
If not, follow these additional instructions:
2) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.
3) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
4) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
5) Now, return to the 1) mobile.blackberry.com email setup as mentioned above and follow that.

Fellow user Grant Bennet-Alder offers this solution:
Some users have reported this problem if the Mail Application has been moved out of the top-level /Applications folder, or duplicated in another location.
When the Security Update is done, the old version of Mail is disabled.
The solution has been to:
1) make certain Mail is in the /Applications folder
2) There is no other copy anywhere else.
3) Once steps 1 and 2 have been done, Manually download and re-apply the Security Update (2012-004) by hand.

If the Mail.app has been LOST, it can be re-installed by applying the 10.6.8 version 1.1 combo update. But this update is quite large and it is usually not necessary:

Cannot open most recent email

For two days now I cannot open the first email in my inbox. I can solve this by sending an email to myself, and can then open the mesage(as it is now second on the list)

Exactly the same thing. Can't open e-mail or it is totally blank, but if I move it to a folder I can read it. If I return it to the Inbox I can read it. I'm blaming the migration to bt.com

Cannot open my Verizon email!

At work, I am sitting behind an Actiontec MI 424-WR Rev. D router, and I cannot open my emails from Verizon Central. I can log into my account and I see my emails, but when I click on one, it never opens. I finally get this message: "The page cannot be displayed."
I cannot open my emails from any work computer sitting behind the router. When I go home, I have the same setup (Actiontec router with Verizon FIOS), and I have no problems accessing and opening my emails.
I noticed that when at work, I click on an email, the system re-directs to Verizon's email server (netmail.verizon.net). This is where the problem lies, I think, for it takes for ever trying to find the email server.
Why is it that it can find the email server outside of my work building, but not inside it?
I thought it was a DNS problem. But my DNS entries look fine-on my workstations and on the router's configuration, and I can ping them. NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN MY WORK ENVIRONMENT. My email was working find until Wednesday morning.
I have checked every configuration there is. There has to be a cause and a solution. Help me out here somebody-thanks in advance.

I am the Network Administrator, and no group policies are in effect. In fact, all computers at work are part of a Workgroup. We are not even in a Domain and AD environment, so it is pretty straight forward.
Monday and Tuesday of this week, my email was working fine. In fact, it has worked with the same router settings and network setup since June 2008. Nothing has changed, other then on Wendesday, I could not open my emails-I can log into Verizon central. I can see my emails, but cannot open them when I click on one.

I cannot open my Hotmail emails from Firefox. I have been on the hotmail Help Forum and they suggest to use Internet Explorer. Does Forefox not support Hotmail now?

I can log into hotmail but cannot open my emails or go to Sent items or anything. I have gone on the Hotmail Help Forum and MANY people are having the same problem. Hotmail say we should use Internet explorer and they do not really answer about using Firefox.
People using Firefox 3 and 4 are having problems.
Also, i downloaded Forefox 4.0.1 and it was not fully compatible with Kaspersky - has this problem also now been resolved?
In summary - is Forfox 4.0.1 NOT comaptible with Hotmail and Kaspersky?

Sorry, I can't help with Hotmail, beyond clearing the cache - I haven't used it for 11 or 12 years now. Surprising that a Firefox 3.6 version would have trouble there, as 3.6 has been around for well over a year and Hotmail problems are usually with a recent release of Firefox.
IMO, if Hotmail support can't help you with Firefox issues on their website and can only recommend using IE, maybe it's time to change web mail service providers. My advice is to signup with a different web mail service, one that takes Firefox seriously. Then set up forwarding in your Hotmail account to have all your Hotmail emails forwarded to that new account. Then slowly transition your email contacts over to the new email address over time. As long as you log in to Hotmail every month or two, your account there should stay active and emails sent there should get forwarded to the new email account. I have done that three times in the last decade, and the first one I transitioned from was still forwarding email thru the two intermediary accounts to my current account until last summer when that service finally changed owners and they wanted all new accounts set up or transitioned to their new software - which I didn't do - and I hadn't even signed into my account there in over 4 years and "forwarding" was still working.

Cannot change account settings anymore

When I try and view/change settings of an account I get a pop up message "An account with this name already exists. Please enter a different account name."
This only seems to have happened after the recent upgrade to 31.4.0, prior to this I have always been able to view/change the account settings.

Have you done your homework?
Run DU, check/repair HD and permissions.
If that does not work, move following .plists to desktop; let system create new plists
try this one first:
com.apple.desktop.plist
reboot and see if this fixes it.
if not then move this one to desktop and repeat
com.apple.desktopscreensaver.rsspictures.plist
report back here with results.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

In my yahoo emails while using Firefox I cannot open up older saved emails that I already read. My computer hangs up and says unresponsive. At that point I can only shut down Firefox through task manager due to pc freezing up. I tried IE and I was able to open older emails. I tried clearing cookies, cache, etc. Any ideas on how to fix?

New Computer Cannot Open Old Encrypted Emails

I have a user that has recently been set up on a new computer copying their .pst from an older system.
The previous computer was running Windows 7 32bit w/ Office 10 and the new one is running Windows 7 64 bit w/ Windows 10.
The user can open recently received encrypted emails but cannot open emails prior to the date they were moved to the new system. I have removed and reinstalled their credentials and exported them as well but to no avail.
Any suggestions on recovering access to encrypted emails prior the creation date of their new profile on the new computer?

Was the "old" Digital-ID installed/ imported into Outlook after setting up the new workstation?
Mostly the reason for such behaviour would be missing private key matching the public key the messages were encrypted with. You won't be able to decrypt the mails without it.

Cannot open Bluetooth Settings HP DV8T-1000

I am running Windows 7 64-bit.
I have the HP DV8T-1000 with built in bluetooth.
The software for the bluetooth in installed (in fact I uninstalled and reinstalled it). Everything says "the device is working properly" however if I right click the bluetooth icon, then click "open bluetooth settings" nothing happens.
When I click on show bluetooth devices it just searches forever and finds nothing.
When I click on add a device it never finds my discoverable Motorola S305 headset.
I have checked on the HP website and I have the latest drivers installed.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I think if I could get into the bluetooth settings perhaps I could solve the problem. Who knows.

When I ran services.msc I saw 2 items for Bluetooth:
Bluetooth Service - Handles installation and removal of bluetooth devices - Started - Automatic
Bluetooth Support Service - The bluetooth service supports discovery and association of remote bluetooth devices. stopping or disabling this service may cause already installed bluetooth devices to fail to operate properly and prevent new devices from being discovered or associated. - Disabled
Took some effort to get "bluetooth support service" started but once I did I could then open bluetooth options.
I still could not sync my device though. Next I checked to see if it would now show up as already installed and it did. I clicked the connect button but got an error.
Next I deleted the device and re-discovered it. Now it all works great!

Cannot open firefox on email (AT&T yahoo) icon since updating to v8

Ever since I updated to the new version of Firefox I cannot open Firefox when I click my AT&T yahoo icon. I get an orange screen and it says Mozilla Firefox in the upper left corner. If I click in the left corner it says "not responding." This also happens when I click on the Firefox icon. The only way I have been able to get into Firefox is to right click on the Firefox icon and select "open outside BufferZone." BufferZone is a security program Kim Komando recommended. I did not have this problem until I updated. What can I do to fix this?

Cannot open Language settings from Tile view, and unable to install Language packs from WSUS.

Hi all,
I have a bunch of Windows 2012 R2 servers that have been deployed from a syspreped image where the language has been defaulted to "en-GB", rather than the default "en-US".
I also have a WSUS 3 server running on a Windows 2008r2 machine. This tells me that a number of language packs are required by these 2102r2 machine, namely:
KB2839636 - English (United Kingdom) Language Pack
KB2839636 - English (United States) Language Pack
KB3012997 - English (United Kingdom) Language Pack
KB3012997 - English (United States) Language Pack
These have been approved to be installed on the 2012r2 machine, however, running Window Update on the machines shows nothing. Opening the Control panel, then navigating to "Add Language", then "options", shows no additional updates.
The I tried to search and run the languages control panel directly from the Windows Tile view by simply typing "language" and clicking the 'Language' option in the search results, but then get the following error dialogue box:

How should the Language pack updates get installed from WSUS?
How do I fix the problem with trying to open the Language option direct from the tile search view?
