Cannot open Acrobat XI due to error 213:5

I have followed the directions at the website for checking permissions on two Adobe folders
and these are set up correctly.
I have downloaded the 3 updates for Acrobat XI
I have rebooted 3 time and still cannot access Acrobat XI
I am on Mac 10.7
Now what?

Hi,
This could be because of permission issues.
Can you please navigate to the location : --
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
Rename the Folder -- "SLStore"
and Relaunch the Acrobat and see if that works.
Although this is a different error, but you can try the patch for fixing licensing shared here -- http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-213-19-licensing-acrobat.html

    As the message says that you do not have access to directory or these files, it can either mean two fo the following :
    1. You genuinely do not have access. Go to this location, try creating a text file manually.
    2. Some other sofware is accessing these files and hence preventing us from accessing them. Do you have a back-up software such as Crash Plan running in back ground or may be some anti-virus. Please turn then off and then re-run the installer.

    It seems to be windows profile related issue could you please try to delete the user preferences under the registries for which you are getting the issue for the particular users.

It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files before you edit the registry.For information on how to edit the registry key, view the 'Changing Keys and Values' online Help topic in the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
    1. Go to start programs->run->RegEdit.
    2. Then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER< Software< BusinessObjects<Suite 11.5<Business Objects.
    3. Select the user preferences and delete the same.

    Hi Emily,
    Following solution might help you to resolve the issue.
    1.You create your Deski report.
    2.Save as the report (with or without 'Save for all users'- makes little difference at his stage).
    3.Export the document to the repository.
    4.Save as the report once again with the option 'Save for all users'(overwrite the copy that already exists on the local machine).
    5.Log into Info view and delete the report.
    6.Log back into Desktop Intelligence and try to open the report.

    This is going to sound lame, but... have you shut down and restarted Windows since this problem began? Sometimes the Windows Installer starts behaving erratically, perhaps due to a backlog of deferred updates, and the only way to get around it is to reboot.

    Try removing this directory: /home/oracle/.jdeveloper/system11.1.1.0.31.52.05/ and restarting JDeveloper.

    Just for the record - my thinking is that there was an application deployed on the integrated server that was miss configured.
    Instead of removing the whole system directory - you could just remove the defaultServer subdirectory there.
    But even better would have been the option to remove the specific offending application see here:
