Cannot Open Adobe Bridge

Hi, I recently downloaded a trial version of Creative Cloud. However I have not been able to review it as Bridge wont load and I get the following error message. "The operation could not be completed".
Request your assistance before I purchase the complete version. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the entire package including CC, Photoshop & Bridge. I keep keep getting the same error message. I have tried pressing down the option key and resetting prefrences. This would not work either.
Please help.

You can't "attach" images to emails. There's nothing to see in your post.

My Adobe Bridge will not open, after a reload. The recommended setting was for windows XP Service pack three.

Your download or install of the update may have been corrupt. Visit the Mac App Store and re-download the update or visit http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726 and download the 10.9.2 update combo and re-install.

Opening Adobe Bridge CC on a Windows 7 OS.

I cannot get Adobe Bridge CC to open on a Windows 7 OS. I have found a discussion on this that gives a solution for the Mac, but not Windows. Any suggestions?

This is the feedback I have thus far from Adobe Technical Support:
1. Open Task Manager and select the Processes tab. Select "Show processes from all users" (at bottom left). End all Adobe-related processes, including CoreSync.exe. (You will have to end CoreSync.exe and Creative Cloud.exe before some of the others can be ended.)
2. Now open Bridge CC. If it still does not open, click on the Start menu, type in "Bridge CC", then right-click on Bridge CC. Click on Properties, then select the Security tab. Select Everyone, then Edit to give Full Control.
Now Bridge should open (or at least, that was my experience).
Unfortunately, Step 1 needs to be repeated each time I reboot my computer after a shut down. The latest I have from Technical Support is that the product experts are working on this issue and do not yet have a solution. There may be an update out in a few days.

How do I open Adobe Bridge?

I cannot find Adobe Bridge in Photoshop. I need this to open multiple images as layers in one file. I also cannot copy and past an image, or drag it, into another doc. Any tips? Or any other way to open multiple images in one file?

What version of Photoshop are you using. If your a subscriber to the creative cloud Adobe Bridge is a seperate application and is not installed when you install Photoshop. You must also install Adobe Bridge if you want to use it. Also the Bridge Output Module is an optional thing if you want that you must download it from Adobe.com and install it. You can see I don't want Lightroom so I do not install it.

Try this. This is for CS6 but substitue CC and Bridge 6.
~library/caches/Adobe/Bridge CS6 and inhere should be 2 files:
Adobe Bridge Plug-in Cache
and the folder called Cache. Inhere should be 4 folders called '254', '1024', 'data' and 'full'
All those folders carry the content of the respective quality of the thumbs and preview as well as 100 % cache and Bridge database.
Any way, Since you have not used Bridge you have no relevant amount of cache and I would suggest you quit both PS and Bridge and manual delete both the items (plug in and folder called cache at the end of the Bridge CS6 path mentioned above.
(both files will refresh itself after a restart of Bridge).
To be on the save side also visit in same user library the folder Preferences and look for the file called "com.adobe.bridge5.plist" (yes it is Bridge 5 that comes with CS6, all Adobe apps have their own version number and they are presented in the same Suite version. CS6 has PS version 13 and Bridge version 5 )
also drag this file to the trash.
Then hold down option key (alt) while starting Bridge and this should give you the option to reset the preferences as mentioned earlier in this thread.
Choose reset prefs and try again.

I currently run 10.9.1. I can open Adobe Photoshop CS6 in high resolution without any problem. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There is no such thing. In CS6 only PS itself is Retina compatible. You would have to use CC for full Retina support.

When you say that you can't open eps files, are you getting an error message?
Photoshop CS6 has the ability to open both .eps and .ai files. However, opening by going to File > Open... will rasterize the image - meaning that it is no long a vector so you can't scale it up and down without losing quality. To open an .eps or .ai file in Photoshop and maintain its vector capabilities, try the following:
Create a new canvas in Photoshop. Then, go to File > Place...
After selecting your file from the Place dialog box, your image will be placed into your canvas. Resize accordingly, and then hit Enter on your keyboard.
The image you just placed is a Smart Object, meaning that it has retained its vector capabilities and can be resized without losing image quality. If you ever need to rasterized this image, just right click on the layer and select Rasterize Layer.

Disable Keyboard Shortcut for Open Adobe Bridge

Is there a way to disable the keyboard shortcut which opens Adobe Bridge from Illustrator? Often when I'm working quickly I accidentally hit this (option command o) instead of (shift command o) to outline type. It halts everything to open Bridge, which I never use, and drives me crazy. Is there any way to disable this command?
Any help would be greatly approciated!!

Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Menu Commands > File and remove or modify the default shortcut for Bridge.

Could you see whether Firefox will start in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
Here's how:
With Firefox closed, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Does that work?

Cannot open Adobe Photo Elements 10 on my PC

I cannot open Adobe Photo Elments 10 software on my PC. I purchased the software from a local Best Buy retailer about one year ago and registered the product serial number with Adobe. I also established an Adobe User ID and Password. I paid for this product with my hard earned money and now I cannot open the program on my personal computer after having been able to do so in the past. This is extremely poor customer service on the part of Adobe!!! What are you going to do now to correct this problem or make a full refund to me?!
Also, what is the Adobe help desk telephone number? This company ought to display their customer help desk telephone number, email address and chat line prominently on their website if they are serious about good customer service.
I am waiting now very impatiently!
If I don't receive a respond promptly I will be forced to file a formal complain with the Fairfax County Department of Consumer Affairs!

I'm glad you got it all worked out. Here are two things that might help in the future with installation issues and serial numbers/activation issues:
If you have activation problems try, here -- http://www.adobe.com/products/activation/
There is an option to click a chat button on that page.

Since my Lion update my CPU running over 150% when i open Adobe Bridge.

I´ve installt the Lion update last week and since i can´t open ADOBE Bridge longer then a minute before CPU runs on 150% or even more.
I had this problem ones before Lion with a server connection i just forced to quite and the problem was away.
Now it seems permanent on Adobe Bridge. I tried to empty the cache on Bridge, that doesn´t help.
Problem have to be the Lion update ....any ideas ? I really need to use Bridge again.
