Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

Get an external hard drive at least the same size as your internal hard drive, bigger is better. Use Time Machine to back up your files and applications. Once you've done that Start your computer from your original install disc, erase the hard drive and reinstall the original OS X and applications that came with your computer. Then start up using your Snow leopard install disc and upgrade the system to 10.6, run software update to get to 10.6.8 and restore your files and applications from your Time machine backup. Continue to use Time Machine to back up your computer regularly.
Apple's software will generally serve you well for everyday tasks like browsing and email, counting on unproven third party software to do the same tasks sometimes can give you headaches. -
I've recently noticed that since the last upgrade any links to pdf files on websited no longer work. All I get is a blank white page or a blank black page when I click on these links. Can I fix this?

Turns out to be an iPhone 4 problem. I went to a store and they replaced it. No problems now. My wife's iPhone 4 also had to be replaced which is disturbing. We had the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS without issue. This iPhone is not that good. It was emphasized to me the other day when I used a Razor in my house and found the voice quality infinitely superior and worked in places where my iPhone 4 failed completely (all on AT&T).
People on the other end of calls with the Razor commented that my voice sounded much better and asked what had I done (they were used to the calls made with the iPhone).
I am afraid I think that the iPhone 4 is not all it is cracked up to be. For phone use the Razor beats it hands down. Now, when it comes to email etc. the iPhone is infinitely superior but as a phone it is certainly not as good as it could be.
I am afraid that Apple may have lost the magic recipe and, if I had not gone past the return date, the iPhone 4 would be going back. -
My outlook will not open yet all other microsoft packages will. When I click on the icon, the 'o' logo will come up for a split second but will not open the package - need to receive emails asap!

I meant holding the "option" (or "alt") key on your keyboard as you click the Outlook icon on the Dock, and continuing to hold it until you see the Microsoft Database Utility come up. Alternatively, you can open the utility by navigating to Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office and then double-clicking the Microsoft Database Utility app.
When you rebuild your database using that program, a backup copy of your original database (containing your account info, contacts, mail, calendars, etc) will be created. As a security precaution, you should also ensure you have a backup of your database (which you can find by going to Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/ and copying the contents of that folder onto an external drive). -
Website opened in safari is a blank white page
all of safari is working just fine with the ecepection of one website which simply opens as a blank white page?
There may be an issue related to cookies set by the site in your browser;
or perhaps they want to set more cookies than your settings allow. So
you could see if the site opens in another browser (copy link) or if you do
find the cookies specific to that site, in Safari, delete them & try again.
A way to reset Safari it fairly easy, but it wipes all saved cookies when you
use the Reset Safari from its drop-down menu. Some users had found a
variety of similar issue, and at times in more than one browser.
Not sure what that's about. I have five different browsers, and can choose
to set some of them so the site 'sees them' as another brand, for the sake
of compatibility. Some web sites are poorly constructed, too.
Here's another take on this situation, and a detailed method to try & make
it work; should resetting cookies, etc not help...

Firefox updated and ever since it did about an hour ago no webpages load at all, all that it shows is a white page. On the bottom it says the page is done downloading but nothing shows up but a blank white page.

Mozilla is just a blank white page
when i open mozilla firefox it comes up a blank white page, completely featureless. It's been occuring all day so I removed it from my computer and re-downloaded from your site and still getting featureless white page.
hello lisayoumans, [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/940393#answer-377118 from another user] we found out that this might be related to malware active on your pc. please close all firefox windows and try [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|running firefox in safemode]] (by pressing the shift key while you're starting it). in firefox safemode go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove the entry named "Codec v1.0" or any other addons that look suspicious & you have not installed intentionally. afterwards see if you can run firefox normally again...
please also do an in-depth scan of your system with the security software already in place and/or a different tool like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & keep firefox and your plugins up-to-date in order to stay safe on the web.

How to remove unnecessary blank(white) page when using FileDownload UI

i tried the file upload/download sample.
Uploading and Downloading Files in SAP NetWeaver 7.0

Of course, it works well in normal situation but FileDownload shows
unnecessary behavior like the following.
- How to produce : Download file with allowSave behavior option
- Phenomena : File Download pop-up window is displayed but the
unnecessary blank(white) page also displayed and this page
persists even when the download is finished.
And is there any way to remove this unnecessary page behind the
pop-up window?

It is not possible to close the blank window that appears while downloading programmatically from within your Web Dynpro application. The user must manually close it.

I have tried everything but still cannot open FB i just get blank page
no matter what i do i can open FB i get just a blank page with the fb headings can see the normal page with the newsfeeds etc
I restarted in safe mode. I opened the firefox and it did not show not responding. However I was unable to connect to the internet in safe mode, so I don't know if it is a system driver yet or not. How do I start in safe mode and be able to connect to my wireless router? If it does turn out to be a system driver or something, how do I figure out which one it is? Thanks so much for helping me!!!

I upgraded my Macbook Pro (early 2011) to OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. Now, I cannot open iPhoto. It says I have to download older version of iPhoto. When I go to the app store, it says: The version of iPhoto installed on this Mac is not compatible with OS X Yosemite. Download the latest version for free from the Mac App Store. the it says: "The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S.Do I need to find my original Macbook disk and install it back and go from there? Did I loose all my pics? Do I really ned it if they are all visible from the new "Photos" App? HELP!

Just instaled FF. WON'T appear as Home Page when I click IE icon!
Had Fairpoint as home page here [NH- they're state phone/ internet provider]. Downloaded IE8 last night on my old pc w/XP. DON'T like pushy MS home page items. Switched to blank startup page, then switched here. Got download done; want Firefox to come up as Home Page but keep getting 'connectivity issue' warning. HELP! Please bear in mind: Am pc NON- guru! The most straightforward seems to be: hold Ctrl and Left-Click on the Reload button. You could also Middle-click on the Reload button (e.g. "click" with the mouse wheel, if you have a wheel-mouse.) The thread above also has some other options.
Edit: you could also hold Ctrl and drag a tab next to itself to clone it, another suggestion from the above thread. -
The background normally as you know on a blank page is white and your persona is visible only at the top section of the window; im curious to know if you can change this to where your persona is visible on the entire window instead of just the top section.
Personas seems to me to be a let down. What good is a thin strip of picture at the top of the page? Disappointing.

Creative cloud won't load, nor can I shut it down. Every time I click on the icon the drop down is blank. (using a mac)
Launch Activity Monitor and "Force Quit" all the process related to Adobe like Creative Cloud, CoreSync, AAMupdater, AAMupdater notifier, Adobe Crash demon from Activity monitor.
1) Right click on Finder icon and select "Go-To" Folder option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)

3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe>OOBE. Open OOBE folder and delete opm.db file.
Once you had trashed Opm.db file , launch Creative Cloud application and check.
