This is a Windows setting. In Windows 7 you can change it through the Control Panel: Either Start>Default Programs or Start>Control Panel>Programs>Default Programs>Set Associations
Find .pdf and change it (click Change Program) from Microsoft Word to Adobe Reader. Browse to find the Reader application if necessary: Program Files>Adobe>Reader11>Reader>AcroRd.exe

I recently installed Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin, and now can't play any videos from any website in Mozilla, but Google Chrome works.

Cannot play any video from any website in Mozilla after installing Java 6 update 33, and adobe flash player 11 plugin. However, I can play videos from Google Chrome and also from Internet Explorer. Safari 4 and Adobe flash player & reader download

Safari 4 fails to download Adobe flash player & reader files. The automatic download process does not save to the download location and then attempts to open file in the safari browser. No dmg file is saved
The same task in Opera & Firefox is fine.
Everything else with Safari is fine too. Is this some corrupt plist?

Try maintenance.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.

If you are running Safari in 64 bit mode, try running in 32-bit mode instead. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Also, (in that same window) make sure Safari is NOT running in Rosetta.

IE 10 vs Adobe reader XI and Adobe flash player 11 keeps asking to update flash player

Today, I got fed up with chrome and uninstalled it. I then installed IE 10. I also installed adobe reader XI (11.0.02) and adober flash player 11.
Both installed successfully!
However, when trying to view short videos I keep getting the message that I need to update flashplayer.
So what is going on? Do I need to revert back to IE 9?????????
I am running windows 7 on and HP decktop.

Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin

Windows 7 64bit / IE8
I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin thinking they would be reinstalled together when I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
Now I only see the entry for Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.2.159.1 listed in - Uninstall or change a program.
I was wondering how to get the Adobe Flash Player Plugin?

I originally uninstalled Flash Player 10 ActiveX and the Flash Player Plugin
thinking they would both be reinstalled with the newer version. When I installed
the newer version of Flash Player 10 ActiveX I noticed the Plugin was missing
and wondered what happened to it. I didn't know it needed to be downloaded
seperatly and I also didn't know what it was for exactly. As it is right now
everything works and since I'm not using any other browser - downloading
the Plugin isn't required. At least now I have an idea what the Plugin it was
intended for and know it's not needed.

This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

(3) Disable protected mode (Windows Vista and higher)

Im trying to download skype and adobe flash player however i cant download anything because i get this message saying either access denied or some technical error in the gateway/proxy??

What App? From where?
You can only get Apps from the App Store. nowhere else. If you are trying to download form a website you cannot do it.
If you need Flash Support for websites, you can download a flash supporting browser from the App store.

Google Chrome and adobe flash player

Hi,
I'm having an issue with adobe flash player well when I downloaded google chrome it came with the html 5 player. which I do not have any problems with. However when I go to run you tube videos with html 5 player it only allows me to play them out of 2 of my 4 speakers. I can only hear sound out of my front 2 so I got the plugin that disables the html 5 player and reverts back to the adobe flash player. I have the latest version of Adobe flash on my computer I deleted adobes caching files and different things Like that I only have 1 version of adobe flash when I go into the plugins section of google chrome. So I'm not really sure what to do I know that Internet explorer plays fine when running you tube videos or any online videos. I can hear sound out of all 4 speakers. So I have to assume it's something with Google chrome and Adobe flash player.

Firefox and adobe flash player installation

When I go to a site like www,vevo,com I am asked to install Adobe Flash player. I install per directions, it shows on the page as having been installed, yet I cannot get videos (specifically on vevo site) to work. Everytime I open vevo, it still asks to install latest version of flash player and I can't play videos.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit OS.
Further, the instructions say to download the 32-bit Firefox in order for the Adobe FP to work, but this site says that Firefox comes ONLY in 32-bit. Any ideas how I can get this to work? I can view youtube, and other videos. Currently, the vevo site is the only video I can't see - that I know of.

Maybe you need to update Flash to a more recent 10.1 r82 version

Is there any timeline soon that apple users will be able to open things that need adobe flash player? I can not even play any games on Facebook, I can't open certain files, pictures sent to me or things like forms I news to see when I am not home

I am so frustrated about Adobe Flash player. I can not play any Facebook games, open certain files and pictures and documents that I need to access because not only does this phone not do it but my old Palm Pre couldn't do it either. I have had so many times where I needed to access things either online or via email, or message that I can not even look at because of this. I have to wait until I for home or ask someone else to do it for me which is embarrassing. I rave about my iPhone 4S all the time because it is truly great except for this. When it use to happen with my Pal Pre I figures once I got my iPhone that it wouldn't happen anymore but I guess I was completely wrong. I have had this problem for years and always get a message saying that it's being worked on. Well a couple of years is a long time to work on it. I understand about contracts and stuff but why is it taking a company such as Apple to be able to get it for their products? I get a lot and always want to play the games on Facebook but I can't do it on most of them at least the ones I have tried. So I can not play against anyone at that time I have to wait until I get home or use someone else's computer or something. Please tell me that in the extremely near future that this will not be a problem anymore. PLEASE!! I am sure I am not the only one out there who is having issues and if you do get it available please let there be an upload/upgrade for current phones and not just for future versions of Apple phones. That just wouldnt be very fair to all of your loyal customers and tell everyone to get your products because they are great and end up leaving this little problem out until they by your phone. Especially if they just got the phone they have. You guys are awesome with technology I have faith that you can make this available to all Apple products old and new by uploads or upgrades. Thank you hopefully can give me some info about the status with this or if there wen is one. I would have thought that being a company such as you are that it would already be taking care of right from the beginning and not wait years to take care of somewhat that is very important ro have especially when there is so much our there using Adobe Flash now. I have Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in won't allow me to watch YouTube videos

Up until last week I had IE9 and was able to download and watch YouTube videos with my son and play Facebook games. Then one evening I tried to pull up a Yo Gabba Gabba video on YouTube and the video window was blank. I had watched this video the night before with him, and the only thing I can think of is there was a Flash Player update that tried to download. I saw several posts that suggested downloading a new broswer, but I waited for 3 nights thinking it was just a glitch. I finally gave up and sent a pm to one of my friends who is a Internet Service Technician. She told me to download Mozilla Firefox, which I did, and the problem seemed to be solved. I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos, as well as play games on Facebook. And it seemed my pages, pictures, etc. all downloaded 10x faster. That worked until the next evening and suddenly I once again could not download and watch YouTube videos.
I checked my system and it found that Adobe had done an automatic update so that instead of just having Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I now had Adobe Flash Player 13 plug-in. I also noticed that Adobe Air was downloaded on my computer. I went in and uninstalled the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in and I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos. But when I tried to play games on Facebook I was told I would need to install at least Adobe Flash Player 10.0.2. I went to find that or an older version but each time I tried to download from Adobe I would get the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in version, and once again I was unable to download and watch YouTube videos. I was, however, able to play the games on Facebook again.
Remember when I just had Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I was able to do both while having Mozilla Firefox. I have looked all over the internet and I cannot find recent articles that talk about this problem. Can someone please tell me what I can do so that I can keep Mozilla Firefox, as it is 10X faster than IE9 and with Firefox my Facebook doesn't crash all of the time? But I also want to have the ability to download and watch YouTube videos with my son, as well as the play games on Facebook.
I should also note each time I went to uninstall Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in I received an error message saying there was a conflict with Mozilla Firefox and I first had to shut it down before the uninstall would proceed. Also, I received a reply on Adobe's Facebook page from a Tech who had me check to see if I had the latest version of Flash Player. I did have the most recent version. He then asked me to go to my add-ons and enable Shockwave. I followed the instructions and it was already enabled (or it said always activate). Neither of those helped me be able to download and watch YouTube videos. But I can still play Facebook games.
