Cannot open email

cannot open email

Can you elaborate? Do you mean you can't launch the mail program? Do you mean you can launch the mail program but can't see emails in it? Do you mean you can launch it and can see your emails but when you click on them nothing happens? Or do you get some sort of message? Can you create or send emails? And if you go to your server, can you see and read those emails online?
Go through it step by step and tell us what happens.

  • Upgraded Exchange to CU 7, now users cannot open emails in a separate window in webmail (OWA).

    Hello,
Strange issue. I upgraded our Exchange 2013 to CU 7 and now users are reporting they cannot open emails in a separate window in OWA. Regardless of browser, browser version even regardless of another computer or mac. Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari...same
issue regardless of version numbers also.
I've tested these settings on several laptops and I cannot open emails in a separate window. This happened a day after the upgrade. Previously this was working for all users. Now its hit or miss. Not all users are affected however. My mailbox/account is
also a victim so I can test any theories out.
Any suggestions would help and be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Please check if there is any error message when these affected users try to open mail in a new window.
Please check if these users can open messages in Outlook. This can help us to narrow the issue.
And please check the aplication log in Exchange server to see if there is events related to this problem, which can help us to troubleshoot the issue.

  • I cannot open emails in MAIL - they come through from Webmail, but I cannot open them....please help....

As above, I cannot open emails in MAIL - they come through from Webmail, but I cannot open them - I can also not read Sent messgaes or old emails that I have already read. They just don't open....please help....
    Thank You!

Use Mail to access your emails and not a web browser.
If you have not done this before you can probably get instructions about setting up Apple Mail from your email provider's web site.

  • Cannot open email in outlook web app. cannot re-open firefox because it doesnot completely close. uninstalled and re-installed several times.

I cannot open emails in my university's Outlook Web App. I cannot re-open Firefox after I exit because it doesn't really close down (parts still in Task Manager which I have to end before firefox reopens.). I have downloaded installed and re-installed. I run a desktop with Windows 7 ultimate and a 64-bit machine.

Do you have the Firefox icon on your quick launch? Right click
on it, and select '''Open New Window.''' Sometimes this works.
If it opens, close it by '''Menu > File > Exit.'''
This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox locks up in Windows.

  • Cannot open email attachments

I suddenly cannot open .jpg, .jpeg or .pdf attachments in my email. This problem is happening both on my iPad and my iPhone4.

If you go into Options | Advanced Options | Applications is the Attachment Service listed? If not when you reloaded the software you have to make sure that the Attachment Service is checked to be installed with the rest of the software

  • Cannot open emails in OWA

Recently purchased an 8900 to access work (federal gov't) email through MS Outlook Web Access. Works great - calendar, contacts, emails. Except when you open an email, it always opens the very first/latest email received in the inbox. Cannot open any other emails. Even when you click on older emails, the newest email opens. Anyone know what's going on here and what can I do to open other emails?

So, you tried to configure for OWA once, it failed, and you are giving up? I can tell you from personal experience that it took me many many tries. No success for me from the device interface at all. Only success was from the web interface and even then after multiple tries and by being very very careful about all of the fields to enter -- most especially the mailbox name field...that one is the trickiest and must be perfect (including case sensitivity). So, if you've only tried once, I'd suggest trying some more and going very very slowly.
Now, there are some circumstances where OWA admins put something in place that makes their OWA work only with MS-level pop clients...and thereby breaks the ability for BIS to interface to OWA. Rare, but the situation exists...see this KB:

  • Iphone 5c, i cannot open emails that have multiple threads?

I can open some of my email in my outlook account, however I cannot open an email that is part of a conversation with multiple threads?  Any help is appreciated!

normally this means you are not or cannot connect to Apple server. Usually this is from a line in your Hosts file directing traffic away from the Apple server.
Open your Host file using Notepad and see if you have a line that reads gs.apple.com if you do you will need to remove this line and you will be able to Restore after.
You can Google or YouTube "how to edit host file" for help.

  • Hotmail shows inbox but cannot open emails shown but can send email, it works on other browsers and I did the latest update on firefox

Firefox brings up my Hotmail web page and shows emails but I cannot open them or delete them. I can send emails however. Other browsers like Opera and Chrome work the Hotmail fine. I have downloaded the latest Firefox update as late as today!
This is a new problem and it worked fine for years. I have Windows 7 operating system on my desktop.

This problem has been ongoing for months for some users.
I managed to fix my issue by completely uninstalling FF and then reinstalling the newest version which is 6.0-something.
I was previously running on 3.0 and my automatic updates had not told me there was a newer version.
I don't know if that will fix everybody's problem though. I assume a lot of people were already running on FF 6 when they had their problems.

  • Cannot open email attachments

Just got a new Tour because the original one had trackball issues. I uploaded everything to my new tour and re-setup my email. Since then I have been unable to open email attachments. This is the error message I have been getting: More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found. I have also not been able to receive calendar requests. Please help
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

For both issues, resend your service books.
    Do this:
On your BlackBerry device, go to:
    1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
    2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
    From your handheld device:   http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.
    From your desktop PC:  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
WorldWide Carriers - Find your carrier on the list
    3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • I cannot open emails in Hotmail even though I have disabled all add-ons and plugins.

As of this morning, I cannot open any emails in Hotmail or open any folders therin. I have disabled all of my plugins and add-ons which has made no difference. To the best of my knowledge, no updates have been made to Firefox on my PC since yesterday.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove your live.com cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these:
    * While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
