Cannot open files on SharePoint using OWA - There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe
Greetings,
Today we have had people calling in saying that they cannot open their files. After digging in for a bit, we found that if we set the library to open with the client it worked fine, thus OWA is having the issue.
The correlation exception is the following :
There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/SecurityTokenServiceApplication/appsts.svc that could accept the message
One user here (
https://ericjfehn.wordpress.com/tag/sharepoint-2013-office-web-apps/ ) suggests reprovisioning the service applications, but that sounds very dangerous, wouldn't that mess up all my services, ie; excel, state service, ssrs, etc.. ?

I keep getting this message when from a client notifies another client. I verified port 9912 is open by telenet to the port. Same software work fine if I reinstall our server or install
the server on other machine. Here is the exception I got when on the net tcp call. We also verify that no firewall or antivirus software running.
THe exception message: {"There was no endpoint listening at net.tcp://mycomputer_name:9912/myApplication.exe-Notification-1 that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException,
if present, for more details."
Does anyone have any suggestion on how what could cause this issue?

I wonder if you have hosted the WCF net.tcp service in the IIS. By default we can not host WCF net.tcp service in the IIS, if we want to implement it, we need to do some configuration.

Problem opening files from Sharepoint using Firefox 4
When trying to open a file for editing from sharepoint 2010, I get the following message:
The document could not be opened for editing. A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found to edit the document

Please provide some solution.

The document “2147483647-11-06 06_00_00.FinalCutCopy” could not be opened. Final Cut Pro cannot open files of this type.
I was importing media, and closed out of the media before stoping the media import. This is how the file saved on the hard drive.
I need to get this file into a format that FCP can open. Is there a way to export a .FinalCutCopy file into a .mov file???
Any insights would be VERY HELPFUL!I was able to figure it out. I renamed the file type to a .mov format and quicktime was able to open it. Then I saved that file format on the desktop, and imported in after I opened FCP. The file then imported and I was able to access the whole video clip I had! Thanks for your help!

I cannot open files via firefox on sharepoint 2010, i can however open the files on IE.
I cannot open files such as word, excel, pdfs on sharepoint when i use Sharepoint. I can open them ok on IE.
i have updated the firefox to the latest version 8.

Is there a add on i need to install?Looks like the site might make use of Adobe Flash. At this time we don't have support for the Android Adobe Flash plugin. We are working on getting Flash to work but it has been a difficult path as the Android Flash plugin is quite different from the desktop version.

I am in the middle of a job using CS 6, but at the same time opening the Creative Suite apps. I created an InDesign file in CS 6, saved it, and now I can't open it. I'm getting this message: Cannot open file because it was saved with a newer version of Adobe InDesign CC (10.1). You must use that version or later to open the file." AARRGGHH! So how do I access the file?
Sounds like you opened and saved it in CC, so now you need to go back to CC and either complete the project there, or export to IDML to take it back into CS6.

I want to ignore NiFieldPoint71D.lib from using project setting(Linker->Input->ignore Specific Library ) but still it is showing same error.

What is the issue about?
Usually, it would be required to run the pls files to recreate certain objects (mainly packages) in the database, and you run the pls file from SQL*Plus as apps/applsys user.
Please update the SR and confirm with Oracle Support what the action plan you need to follow to resolve the issue.

Upgrade Plug-ins error (Cannot Open File)
I was working on a document in CS3 as a final thesis for my masters work. I was using a Blurb template in order to export the file for printing. In between working on the file, one afternoon I could no longer open the file and was met with the follwing error:
Cannot Open File
IMAGE.RPLN
IMAGE FILTERS.RPLN
HYPERLINKS.RPLN
"Cannot open "Masters_book dec.indd".
Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest
versions, or upgrade to the latest version of
Adobe InDesign."
I hadn't changed any other files on my computer or ran any updates. I was simply met with the error when I tried launching the application. After trying to run necessary updates I was still met with the same error message. I downloaded the trial version of CS5 on another machine and tried to open it and was once again met with the above error message. I have a back up of the file that I can use but it still represents a lot of lost work if I have to resort to an old file.I probably shouldn't dwell, on this, but I can get really worked up over it.

Since this concerns a CS3 file and I haven't seen posts of others having the same issue, either with CS3 or with any other version, I have to take it as a One-Time Fluke.
I'm pretty firmly convinced this never happens. There are real problems and even if we only see them once, they are happening hundreds and thousands of times and going unreported and undetected, but they are no less real. In fact, because of the reporting bias towards repeatable problems, they are probably causing added frustration and confusion without being detected or fixed properly. So, IMNSHO, we owe a larger duty to pay attention to so-called "unreproducible" bugs.
(You can imagine how well these conversations with Adobe Support go...)
Of course, in this case, it's probably really hard to find the problem. And since it's effectively an end-of-life'd product that is 3 versions behind the released product and at least 4 versions behind the development product, well, it's hard to lose too much sleep over it.

When what is clicked?
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
