BR,
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Error7 (Windows error 126) After Installing iTunes
I got the following error message when unsuccessfully trying to open iTunes:
“The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.”
So following directions I uninstalled iTunes, downloaded the latest iTunes from the iTunes site and attempted to reinstall. However, it would not reinstall and gave the following error message:
“Service ‘Apple Mobile Device’ (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.”
After I clicked ignore a dialog box came up saying iTunes had been successfully installed. Underneath it was another dialog box with a big X in red which said:
“iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error7 (Windows error 126)
Please let me know what to do.Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I cannot install iTunes. I get a Windows Error 126 and missing msvcr80.dll. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing based on all the suggestions, but still have an issue. I've removed all the services, tried moving the dll files as suggested, but I still have no success. Spent all day on this issue. I am running windows 7.
Sorry to hear this isn't going smoothly for you. Try Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. You may have seen some of the suggestions here before but is has taken some users more than one attempt.

Itunes did not install correctly. windows error 126
After being prompted to update to the latest version of iTunes, I did so. After the download I was given the following message: itunes did not install correctly error 7 windows error 126 - please attempt to re-install. I have attempted uninstall and deleting the software followed by new download and re-install. Same results each time. Please suggest a fix for this issue. Thank you.

I tried to update my itune with the latest update and now i can't use itune at all . I have tried reinstalling it . all get is MSVCR80.dll and then I get Error 7 (windows erreor 126) . Need help please .
Similar problem here. iTunes11 notified me it was available. However, auto-update failed. So, I downloaded for manual update. That failed with "permission" message. I am administrator on this machine (WIN7). I tried uninstalling old version, but it failed with same permission issue. I now can't start iTunes... throws permission message. So, I'm completely dead in the water. Does this stuff get tested before it's shipped?

Cannot open, uninstall or reinstall itunes
I am getting increasingly frustrated and am about to abort the Ipod scene.
The following happens.
When I attempt to open itunes from the desktop or programs, "the action is only valid for products that are currently installed" comes up, and iTunes does not open.
When I then try to upgrade to the new 7.1, the following eventually happens, "the features you are trying to install to use is on a network resource that is unavailable, enter alternate path to a folder with install......itunes.msi"
The same thing happens when I attempt to uninstall the program from 'my computer'.
Is there a simple way to open the older version of itunes or install the new one?
Thanks in advanceSee if this article might help you get you past the issue of itunes not opening.

help. my iTunes wont open. I keep getting the message error7 (windows error 193). contacted Microsoft they said contact iTunes support. I have uninstalled all iTunes componets and then reinstalled everything but message still comes up... its driving me crazy.
If it's a Windows error, it's typically going to be a Microsoft problem. Uninstall any security software you have and if you have a restore point for your PC, you may want to restore your PC back to when iTunes was working normally. If none of those work you would need to contact Microsoft and demand help.

iTunes will not open because a dialog box pops up with "Itunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes.". I have done so a few times to no avail. Any solutions for this problem?
No you will not lose your content reinstalling iTunes.
Do this:
1: Download and run the Registry Cleaner of the free Ccleaner.
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
2: Next follow this Apple document to un-install iTunes
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
3: Just for good measure, run Ccleaner again
4: Reinstall iTunes.
5: Come back here and click my "Correct answer" button. -

last night i wanted to update my ipad to 4.3 and when i tried to; it told me i had to download the new itunes too. so i tried downloading the new updated version on itunes, and this morning when i tried to open my itunes it said "itumes cannot open because some of it's required files are missing. Please reinstall itunes." what do i do?
With that one, I think we should try getting the malware possibilities off the table first.
Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hour on my Lenovo.)
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Does the scan find any infections? If so, please paste the contents of the log file for the scan in a reply here so we can have a look.
