  • I purchased adobe photoshop elements 12 and cannot open organizer on my macbook pro 7.1  Any suggest

i purchased adobe photoshop elements 12 and cannot open organizer on my macbook pro 7.1  Any suggestions?

After I successfully install the adobe photoshop elements 12 for mac, I try to open organizer and a window pops up that says
"Adobe Elements 12 Organizer cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Elements 12 Organizer works with this version of Mac OSX. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OSX. Click report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
I have checked for any updates on my Mac and it is up to date.
I have tried reloading and am still getting the same result.
I can open Editor, but not Organizer.
I am running Mac OSX version 10.6.2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor with 4 GB  memory, all standard stuff that came in the computer and I have no security software running when I do this.
Any idea why it is not working?
    Thanks, Victor

  • I cannot open my photoshop elements 10. I get an error 400.

I cannot open my photoshop elements 10 to edit pictures. I get a message saying that it cannot connect, error 400. I was using it last week no problem than I shut down my computer & tried to open photoshop the next day & the program wouldn't open. I've heard that this is the result of photoshop.com no longer existing. What can I do about this? There has to be a way that I can still edit my pictures. I've tried opening some .psd docs but they won't open. I tried chatting with adobe tech support & they said that they cannot help me because this is an older PSE program. Anyone know any way around this? Mahalo nui loa!
On a side note: I can't figure out how to respond when someone comments on my forum questions. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'm obviously not very tech savvy.

I responded in your other thread. To reply to a post click the Reply button at its lower right to open up a place where you can type:

  • Cannot open Adobe Photo Elements 10 on my PC

I cannot open Adobe Photo Elments 10 software on my PC.  I purchased the software from a local Best Buy retailer about one year ago and registered the product serial number with Adobe.  I also established an Adobe User ID and Password.  I paid for this product with my hard earned money and now I cannot open the program on my personal computer after having been able to do so in the past.  This is extremely poor customer service on the part of Adobe!!!   What are you going to do now to correct this problem or make a full refund to me?!
Also, what is the Adobe help desk telephone number?  This company ought to display their customer help desk telephone number, email address and chat line prominently on their website if they are serious about good customer service.
I am waiting now very impatiently!
If I don't receive a respond promptly I will be forced to file a formal complain with the Fairfax County Department of Consumer Affairs!

    Hi Dean,
I'm glad you got it all worked out. Here are two things that might help in the future with installation issues and serial numbers/activation issues:
If you have activation problems try, here -- http://www.adobe.com/products/activation/
There is an option to click a chat button on that page.
If you find you have installation issues, you might want to check the Adobe user forum called download, install and setup. It can be found at:
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup
    Best regards,

What exactly does it mean that you can't open any files?  What error messages are you getting?  Can you also list here the steps you are taking to open the files.
Your post does not help anybody here because all you say is you can't open the files without giving us any more details.

  • Mac elements 11, cannot open organizer

when i open elements it defaults to editor.. I need to open organizer

    Hi,
In that case, load the editor and go to Help -> Welcome Screen
There, click on the little gear wheel (top right) and you should be able to change the settings to always show welcome screen or to start in the organizer.
    Good luck

  • I cannot open Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor. I am working on a Mac. I get this message: "Could not complete your request because of program error". If I am in Organizor, that message will have a black box below it that says "Loading the Adobe Photoshop

I was using the program yesterday.  I am just learning the program. I learned to download pictures by opening I-Photo and directing the edit process to Elements Editor. Then I stored the pictures in a album in Organizer. This morning when I turned the program on, I received the message above.

    Oh, dear.
If you use PSE as your external editor for iphoto, you need to save the images back to iphoto by using Save, not Save As and not changing anything like the name or format that would bring up the Save As window. (You may need to adjust the editor prefs>saving files>on first save to save over existing.)
OR you can export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, use file>open in the editor and then change whatever you want and either import the saved image to the organizer or import it back to iphoto as a new file. What you are doing is extremely risky, particularly to the iphoto library which you may easily damage by your workflow.
I would start the organizer holding down the shift key, then create a new catalog and switch to the new one. Then try opening the editor without opening an image and see if you get any farther.
PSE and iphoto are not designed to be used as you've been doing. You are trying to write to the iphoto library from outside iphoto, which is the fastest known way to corrupt the library and lose all your photos.

  • Unable to open organizer in elements 9

Organizer will not open when I click on the Icon. The process is running however when I check Task Manager. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Elements 9 with the same results. The Edit Icon does work and I am able to open any of my photos individually to edit and print.

The same thing is happening to me today.    I have been an Elements 8 user for years, but today when I clicked the icon i got the initial screen, but I could not access the editor or organizer.
Then when iI called I found that Adobe does not support Elements.    Bummer.

  • Cannot open images in Elements via Lightroom 3

    Hi,
For some reason, I am no longer able to move files over to photoshope from within the Lightroom developments module.
The option to "Edit in photsop" is greyed out.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I have Elements 8 and Lightroom 3.
    Thanks

'Edit in Photoshop' option lets you edit the image in Lightroom in Photoshop. If this option is disabled, probably Photoshop will not be installed on your system.
I had a confusion about your post. Do you want to edit your images in Photoshop or in Photoshop Elements Editor?
If you wanna edit your in image in Photoshop, you can do it via Edit in Photoshop. If you want to edit in Photoshop Elements Editor, you need to set Photoshop Elements Editor as an external editor. For this, In Lightroom click on 'Edit->Preferences->External Editing (tab)->Additional External editor'. Click on 'custom' button and navigate ot the path of Photoshop Elements Editor (which is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe on win 64 bit).
Let me know if you need more clarification.

Photoshop.com is no longer available. The service transferred to Revel.
    Ignore the sign-in altogether.
You may need to turn off Sync in Organizer prefs if you have it activated.
