Cannot Open Photoshop & Bridge

I just installed PS CS5 Student & Teacher Edition on my iMac. When I try to open PS or Bridge it tells me that it is unavaliable or incomplete. The installation completed without any errors. What is the problem?

You cannot run Photoshop CS on a new Intel-based Mac running OS X Mavericks. CS is far too old.
You'll have to buy Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop Elements 12. Or subscribe to CC.

Photoshop.com is no longer available. The service transferred to Revel.
Ignore the sign-in altogether.
You may need to turn off Sync in Organizer prefs if you have it activated.

Try this. This is for CS6 but substitue CC and Bridge 6.
~library/caches/Adobe/Bridge CS6 and inhere should be 2 files:
Adobe Bridge Plug-in Cache
and the folder called Cache. Inhere should be 4 folders called '254', '1024', 'data' and 'full'
All those folders carry the content of the respective quality of the thumbs and preview as well as 100 % cache and Bridge database.
Any way, Since you have not used Bridge you have no relevant amount of cache and I would suggest you quit both PS and Bridge and manual delete both the items (plug in and folder called cache at the end of the Bridge CS6 path mentioned above.
(both files will refresh itself after a restart of Bridge).
To be on the save side also visit in same user library the folder Preferences and look for the file called "com.adobe.bridge5.plist" (yes it is Bridge 5 that comes with CS6, all Adobe apps have their own version number and they are presented in the same Suite version. CS6 has PS version 13 and Bridge version 5 )
also drag this file to the trash.
Then hold down option key (alt) while starting Bridge and this should give you the option to reset the preferences as mentioned earlier in this thread.
Choose reset prefs and try again.

Scratch disk full and cannot open photoshop to fix it...

I cannot open photoshop because it says the scratch disk is full. I have been using photoshop (cs5) for 10 years and never had this problem. I recently installed cs5 on my Windows 7 computer and it worked for a few weeks, then this problem arose. I cannot afford a new version at this time but would like to use cs5 on this computer and I know it can work because it did for several weeks but now it won't and I can't follow the typical steps to remedy this situation because I cannot open photoshop. The tips outlined below came from this site.
First, if you can open Photoshop, check to see what hard drive is set up as your Photoshop scratch disk. To do this, go to Photoshop > Preferences > Performance. Then look under Scratch Disks to see which one you are using and how much free space it has. (FYI—I've included these steps for future visitors to this thread.)
Option 1: Delete some files
If your scratch disk is very full (or the free space is low), try deleting some unwanted files from the drive (for me, "Macintosh HD" as seen in the image above) to make room for new ones.
Option 2: Delete temp files
Search your computer for temporary files. These files are typically named ~PST####.tmp on Windows and Temp#### on Macintosh, where #### is a series of numbers. These are safe to delete.
Option 3: Defragment your Hard Disk

Have you updated your iTunes on your computer? WIth a device running iOS7, you need iTunes 11.
When you removed iTUnes, did you see something named 'apple mobile device support' or something like it? (The exact name varies from operating system to operating system). If you see that, uninstall it too. That's the drivers for your iPhone and they should self-install when you plug your device in.
If all that is fine, have you checked your cable and USB port? a malfunctioning cable can keep you from syncing.

I am running Windows7 Home Edition 32bit and after unsuccessfully uploading the latest Photoshop CC upgrade I cannot open photoshop and am getting the following error message.

Sounds like you have a bad install - some of the libraries are damaged or the wrong version.
Reinstalling may be your only hope.

go to the installation directory (not a shortcut) and confirm they're installed and try to start from the install directory.

I tried everything you mentioned but to no avail, still getting the same response "could not initialize photoshop because the file has been damaged by
disc error. I did run the Chkdsk and it didn't help, I still can't open CS5, not even to check updates....

Hi, I am using my Mac Pro with photoshop.
My trial of Photoshop CS6 Extended had ran out,
so I buy Creative Cloud today and want to change for it.
However, after I bought CC online,
I try to open my photoshop,
but it still shows that my trial is over and need buy one.
At that moment I had bought CC which means, I think, I can use my photoshop now,
but sadly, I cannot use it cause everytime I open it, it shows that my trial is over.
Then I go to Adobe Application Manager and check,
in AAM, it shows that my version of photoshop is the newest one,
but (damn it!) I still cannot open my photoshop!!
So I try to unistall every apps related to Adobe and re-download the Adobe Application Manager online,
however, after I download it, it still shows that my photoshop is the newest version,
but the fact is I've unistalled my photoshop so I don't have it in my Mac Pro now!!!
I need to use Photoshop a week later, what should I do?
I have bought Creative Cloud online so surely I've the right to use the product included in!!!
It is really annoyed!!!

If you have purchased the Creative Cloud you all the rights to use the produts . To get your trial activated , i would request you to simply launch the product and click on License this software button when the trial window pops up. Once you have done that , please sign in with the correct Adobe id and the password and that should do it for you .

That is quite weird. To be sure can you check under manage accounts whether it shows your username as an administrator or standard account.

I have been talking to PS Tech.Serv. for a week and they have no solution. I installed PS CS5. When I try to open Photoshop or Bridge I get a message, "This application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d). Click on OK to terminate the application. I have Windows XP. HELP!

It appears that it's all in the old processor. I've been talking to my
computer geek and decided to do what I've been thinking about for the past
year. A separate computery dedicated to Photoshop CS5 and all the plug-ins
that I want.
My present computer will keep the CS3 and Autocad that I use along with
a`tie in to that great big dangerous world of the internet. My new computer
shall be the alter to the great god Adobe.
My only question right now is, "Why does Adobe Tech. Service in India still
not know what I'm talking about if this problem has been going on for weeks
and weeks?" After three phone conversations with them, lasting at least
an`hour or more, they have never responded back as they promised to do.
