Cannot pause the iCloud photo upload for one day at iOS 8.3

In the faq "https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204264", it mentions that there is a button to pause the photos upload at "Settings > iCloud > Photos" but it's not there. Can anyone find it?

I take that back, music is messed up too! Some of the "default" playlists, such as "recently added" , "Recently played" and "Top 25 Most Played" are listed on iTunes and were always on my phone... but since iOS 8.3... they are gone... Still in iTunes, but not on device.

Disregard the question. The solution has nothing to do with any "Firefox bug". Turns out that my session wasn't being managed properly. Or rather, I was accidentally deleting other users' information when new users logged in. So if I had user 1 and user 2, and user 2 logged in after user 1, some of user 1's information would be deleted, resulting in the errors.
Oops; sorry about the false alarm. :)

The way to keep the photos from downloading to your wife's phone would be for her to go to Settings > iCloud > Photos > and turn off iCloud Photo Library. If that isn't an option, the other option would be for her to have her own Apple ID ( and possibly explore the new family sharing options https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/ )

Photo Stream is a photo sync service between your computers and devices. That's not designed as a storage service, because photos uploaded to Photo Stream are deleted 30 days after adding them to it. Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.

Reset your password. Be sure your new one meets the requirements for length (8) and characters (at least one upper case and one number).

I've deleted this account and reopened it in Mail on my Mac Pro with no difference. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, this E amil account is major to my business.

sounds like a corrupt database or index
the glitch is your home folder and mail folder, esp look at syncservices

I'm not sure I understand the question.
First I would update your iTunes match. iTunes match will tell you what is duplicates and then you can just delete them from the library.
Second, the course in a situation like this is to delete ONE duplicate and see what happens. Make sure you have that song backed up somewhere just incase it deletes it completely. But usually I'd delete one and then see if it deletes both or just the one you pressed.
Thirdly, update iTunes match. It usually does a good job of locating actual duplicates.

When you enable Photo Stream on your devices, only new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your Photo Stream. Existing photos won't.

ICloud Photo uploading

Hi,
I am having problems uploading photos from iPhotos on my MacBook Pro to iCloud Photos on iCloud Drive.
Its is telling that the file format is incorrect. Having a look into the detail, it tell me that the format is .jpg and it only can upload .jpeg. Can I change this en masse or will I have to go through my 30,000 one by one to be able to upload them?

It's likely working - there are requests limits in place for uploading photos to the new photo service - they will eventually get there. You can check the progress by going to usage and look at the icloud photo entry under icloud storage usage. You will see there how many photos, videos and the size it's taking there.

You have to have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) or Mac to create an iCloud account. However, if you tell your friend to create a shared photo stream and turn on Public Website, he/she will then be able to send you a link that will allow you to view the photos on the internet using your web browser. You would not be able to comment on the photos as this requires an iCloud account, but you would be able to view them.

Since that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.
