Cannot perform RFC Look UP

Hi All,
When I executed the RFC Look up function in the mapping could see the following error.
"Run time exception when processing target field mapping. Cannot perform RFC Look Up".
I performed the below steps but still could find the same error again:
1.In the test tab of the message mapping I have assined a channel which I configured in the Interface determination of the configuration and also assigned a value to that channel.
2. Has given the values for the parameters in the operation mapping and also the binding is done successfully.
3. The function module I assined is also existing and could test the same for output values for the given input values.
Please help me resolve the error.
Thanks & Regards,
Kumar.

Hi,
This is the error I could see in the communication channel monitoring of RWB.
"Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was <null>"
Help me with this error.
Thanks,
Kumar.

    My requirement is need to fetch Cost Center (KOSTL) by taking Personal number(PERNR)  as Input parameter.
    1) Do we have to create and import the RFC into PI ?
    2) Do we need to create a UDF ? If yes, Kindly provide some useful links.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Urgent : Error in RFC  Look Up using JCO.

    Hi,
    I have a scenario od accessing a database table by passing the name through XI and also giving the Where condition ,passing the fieldnames and getting back the field values . The FM that id used for this on ABAP side is <b>RFC_READ_TABLE</b>.
    For this Scenario I inserted a Java Code using JCO's in th UDF for the  RFC Look Up's.
    I got errors while activating the MM which i am not able to rectify.Please Help me in this.

    <b>This is an Urgent Requirement. Please reply ASAP.</b>
    Regards,
    Priyanka.

    Hi Priyanka,
    The error message says there are 2 errors:
    1. createClient
    2. result.addValue
    For the first one, I guess you might not have included all the API required for lookup
    For second one, please check what is the type of object you are adding to the resultset, maybe you can just say result.addValue(resultSet[pos] + ""); to typecast it.

  • RFC Look Up APIs for a IDOC Receiver Communication Channel

    Hi,
    Can we use RFC Look Up APIs in UDF for a IDOC Receiver Communication Channel. (File to IDOC Scenario). Requirement is to send a notificaiton when IDOC got posted with IDOC number.
    Best Regards,
    Madan Agrawal

    As the name suggests, RFC lookup uses RFC receiver channel only. In mapping of your File to Idoc scenario, you may perform this lookup.
    Requirement is to send a notificaiton when IDOC got posted with IDOC number.
    Configure ALEAudit for this requirement. How were you planning to use RFC lookup for such a requirement?

    Prateek

  • "You cannot perform this action in this region of the page" error Contribute 2.01

    Hi
    Our Contribute users are working in Editable Regions on pages
    they have permission to edit. They get this error sometimes when
    they try to create a link to another part of the website, to a page
    out on the Internet, or to a document on their computer.
    Usually they can succeed if they publish the page as is then
    edit it again, but not always.
    There is no noticeable network lag. The message appears
    quickly.
    We plan on upgrading Contribute, but don't have the go-ahead
    yet. Any suggestions about where to look for a solution would be
    appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gord

    I am having the same problem in both Contribute 4.0 and 3.0.
    I have checked the code and there is nothing odd in it. When I edit
    a page, I have found that I can create one link in the editable
    region, but then when I try to create another, I get the message:
    “Cannot perform that action in this region of the
    page.” This happens with text links, links from an image, and
    email links. It happens whether I choose "Browse" or "Choose." The
    problem also occurs when attempting to link to a file on my
    computer.
    I am the administrator of the site - it's not a problem for
    me, because I can make the links in Dreamweaver. However it is a
    big problem for our customers who want to update their own pages.
    Here is an example of a page of the site where this is
    happening.

  • Error #3200: Cannot perform operation on closed window.

    hi,
    I'm simply trying to open a new window in a CS extension but when testing it inside Premiere as well as Illustrator it gives me the error
    Error #3200: Cannot perform operation on closed window.
    When I test it as a standalone desktop app, it works fine.
    I tried it with an mxml Window component, and also with code, like:
    var newWindow:Window = new Window()
    newWindow.title = "New Window";
    newWindow.width = 200;
    newWindow.height = 200;
    newWindow.open(true);
    I'm using a WindowedApplication.
    Flex 3.5
    AIR  2.7
    Flash Builder 4.5 (not using Extension Builder)
    thanks!
    Jeff.

    thanks Harb, I'm looking CSXSInterface now. But I don't see anything in the api that points at openening a new window. Do you mean
    that I should build another extension and load it using requestOpenExtension or should i communicate with some script uing evalScript?
    So what I mean is just open a new AIR window on top of my air cs extension. And display an mxml component in that new window, filled with data that is stored in my extension.
    An example, some code or any further directions would be appreciated,
    Jeff.

  • Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign... cannot perform operation error code - anyone familiar?

    Whenever I'm using photoshop, illustrator, inDesign, it doesn't matter, when I go to open or place files I run into a message window that alerts it cannot perform this operation.
    So now what?  I have to launch the file external of photoshop, from the root folder and then duplicate it into the existing file.  Well, that's silly.
    Anyone know of this bug??
    Thanks!
    Cheryl

  • InvalidOperationException - "Cannot perform this operation while dispatcher processing is suspended."

    I have a WPF application in .NET 4.5.  The latest version of the map control (version 1.0.1.0) is causing an issue if it is used within a datatemplate.  This does not happen with the previous version I was using from Nuget (version 1.0.0.0).  As
    an aside, what happened to the Nuget package?  Anyways, it is easy to reproduce the issue:
    MainWindow.xaml:
    <Window x:Class="MicrosoftMapError.MainWindow"
    xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
    Title="MainWindow"
    Content="{Binding ViewModel,
    RelativeSource={RelativeSource Self}}">
    <Window.Resources>
    <ResourceDictionary>
    <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
    <ResourceDictionary Source="Views/MapView.xaml" />
    </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries>
    </ResourceDictionary>
    </Window.Resources>
    </Window>
    MainWindow.cs:
    using MicrosoftMapError.ViewModels;
    using System.Windows;
    namespace MicrosoftMapError
    public partial class MainWindow : Window
    public MainWindow()
    InitializeComponent();
    this.ViewModel = new MapViewModel();
    public object ViewModel
    get { return (object)GetValue(ViewModelProperty); }
    set { SetValue(ViewModelProperty, value); }
    public static readonly DependencyProperty ViewModelProperty = DependencyProperty.Register(
    "ViewModel",
    typeof(object),
    typeof(MainWindow));
    MapView.xaml:
    <ResourceDictionary xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
    xmlns:wpf="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.WPF;assembly=Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.WPF"
    xmlns:viewModels="clr-namespace:MicrosoftMapError.ViewModels">
    <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type viewModels:MapViewModel}">
    <Grid>
    <wpf:Map />
    </Grid>
    </DataTemplate>
    </ResourceDictionary>
    The MapViewModel class is just an empty class, there is nothing to show there.
    And this is the stack trace for the exceptions.
    Outer exception: XamlParseException - The invocation of the constructor on type 'Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.WPF.Map' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception.

    Are dev team has looked into this and I believe they have found the issue. They are working on putting together a new release. Also, Microsoft never officially released a Nuget package, someone just took some old buggy libraries and posted them on Nuget
    without asking Microsoft. We are planning to make an official Nuget package.

  • "Cannot perform operation, connection is closed" with Open MQ 4.4

    I am using Sun MQ 4.4 with Glassfish 2.1.1 on Red Hat 5.7.
    I am able to install glassfish cluster and all the instances are running fine. But, when I try to send a message to a topic, I get following exception

    I am trying to install these on a couple of new machines. Same application works on other machines so I am guessing this is a configuartion issue somewhere on these servers.
    My question is what would be a good way to find the cause of this failure.
    I have turned on log level to finest for ejb-container, jms, RA through glassfish Admin console, but no useful information.
    Also, I don't have the name of the servers in DNS yet. I am using IP address for specifying instances.
    Any suggestions ?

    Hi Tom,
    I used the demo/helloworld/helloworldmessage.java sample.
    By the way, I should add that the broker log contains lines like:
    [B1066] Closing [email protected]:2461 because "[B0061]: Client exited without closing connections"
    Is this what one would expect for a connection.close() ?
    It almost seems that this is happening only when the connection is nulled explicitly or the connection object is destroyed.
    One last thing:
    I was led down the garden path. The reason for the server being thread starved was that there were indeed connections not being closed/nulled.
    Thanks in advance,
    Patrice

  • Error 58 The specified server cannot perform the requested operation

    Hello,
    I will try to explain the situation as brief as possible. Next to our current existing MDT environment (MDT2010 on Windows 2008 R2) we are no building a new system (MDT2013 on WIndows 2012 R2). We have multiple sites and the MDT deployment share is setup
    in DFRS share so every site is getting the same deployment information and replication is done automatically. This has been working firn for 3 years with the old system and also with the new environment it was working fine in our own subnet. But when after
    i have setup the remote MDT and WDS servers it is not working in these remote sites. The images are loading fine but for some reason the win PE is not connecting to the shares on the windows 2012 server in our site. When i manuualy connect from a remote win
    PE to our server i always get the error: system error 58 has occured. The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.
    I have been doing some troubleshooting and it seems i only got this issue when i connect from win PE 5.0 to a windows 2012 R2 server in a remote subnet.
    When i use win PE 5.0 and connect to a windows 2012 R2 share in the same subnet it connects fine.
    When i use win PE 5.0 and connect to a windows 2008 R2 share in a remote subnet it connects fine
    When i use an older win PE and i connect to a windows 2012 R2 share in a remote subnet it connects fine
    When i use win PE 5.0 and connect to a windows 2012 R2 share in a remote subnet it does NOT connect and gives the above error
    The problem is that this problem also does not occure in Windows 7, after the machine was build by MDT and get into the OS i can connect without a problem to the windows 2012 R2 shares.
    Checking the event viewer on the 2012 R2 server that is hosting the shares i see that the following events are created:

    This event is generated when a logon session is created. It is generated on the computer that was accessed.
    The subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.
    The logon type field indicates the kind of logon that occurred. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
    The New Logon fields indicate the account for whom the new logon was created, i.e. the account that was logged on.
    The network fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
    The impersonation level field indicates the extent to which a process in the logon session can impersonate.
    The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
    - Logon GUID is a unique identifier that can be used to correlate this event with a KDC event.
    - Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
    - Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
    - Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.

    This event is generated when a logon session is destroyed. It may be positively correlated with a logon event using the Logon ID value. Logon IDs are only unique between reboots on the same computer.
    Anyone an idea why this is happening?

    Hi,
    We can refer to the following blog for MDT troubleshooting:

  • Unable to expand DG is Lync client - Cannot perform this action, and the cause is unknown.

    Hi,
    I have a user in our Hong Kong office that is unable to open a distribution group she has added to her Groups. She gets the error message "Cannot perform this action, and the cause is unknown. Contact your support team to investigate."
    I can add the group and expand it, so can some of her colleague, and some cannot. Her colleagues who can have the same client and global policy settings as she does.
    I read in a similar thread that this could be resolved by confirming the server times on Lync, AD (domain controller checked and Exchange but they were all correct and in sync.
    The global policy is set to 250 max contacts - but does a DL count as 1 contact, or does it count all the people within the DG? I am getting HK to confirm she does not have too many contacts but I dont think this is the issue.
    Anyone else come across this issue?
    Phil

    You can run the command Test-CsGroupExpansion to test the ability of a user to employ group expansion.
    For the usage of the command, you can check

  • RFC Look Up with MultiMapping in PI 7.1

    Hi All,
    I have created a multimapping with one source & two target messages. I am using a RFC look Up for one of fields inside mapping.
    But, when I used this multimapping in interface determination in PI 7.1, at runtime i got an error.
    Error - is variable (Say XYZ) used while creating parameter for RFC look Up in message mapping doesn't exist.
    If I execute multimapping without RFC look Up, it worked absolutely fine.
    I have used RFC look Up in number of normal message mappings, it worked fine.
    Not sure, if this is a issue with PI 7.1, that multi-mapping with RFC look Up isn't supported at enhanced interface determination.
    Please provide inputs for this or if anybody has hands on experience using this with PI 7.1
    Thanks,
    Venkat
