Cannot play back DVR stream not in _definst_ directory

I'm running FMS 4 with DVRCast v1.2.114. When I use my own player app, I am able to play DVR archives not stored in _definst_ where my server name is something like rtmp://myserver/dvrcast_origin/mydirectory/ and my stream name is something like mp4:stream.f4v.
However, when I try to play DVR archives not in _definst_ with strobe (http://www.osmf.org/configurator/fmp/#) where the specified URL is the concatenation of the server and stream name above, I get an error "DVRCast subscribe failed Unexpected server response: NetStream.DVRInfo.Failed". However, I can connect to DVR archives in _definst_ without a problem.
My suspicion is that strobe is not properly parsing the server name and stream name out of the URL when establishing connection to the FMS server. I'm wondering there is a different syntax for the src= that will work. Right now it looks like:
src=rtmp%3A%2F%2Fmyserver%2Fdvrcast_origin%2Fmydirectory%2Fmp4%3Astream.f4v&streamType=dvr

Camera says cannot play back image after downloading picutures to computer and placing disk back in camera. It is a Cannon EOS 50D. I cannot find the instruction manual. What do I need to do to fix this problem so that I can view pictures on camera.

I think what's happened is that you downloaded to the computer (are they on your computer?) AND whatever program you used either transferred them from the card to the computer or copied them & then erased the card. Many programs have that option built in & it needs to be disabled if you still want your images left on the card. It's not the camera that does this it's the software on your computer.
You can copy them back onto the memory card using a card reader. The way I do that is to format the card & then take 1 shot which creates the proper file folder under the DCIM folder. Next remove the card from the camera & use the card reader & My Computer to find the folder with the photo you just took Copy the images from your computer to the folder on the card which has that single photo you just took. Put the card back into the camera & you should be able to view them again.

Error - "Cannot play movie: Movie could not be played"

Hi all,
I'm trying to stream an MP4 video on my iPhone 4 (OS 4.2.1), which I could do with no problems before. For some reason I am now getting the error "Cannot play movie: Movie could not be played". I have tested this URL on a PC web browser and it streams fine. I have tried over the 3G network and wiki... same result.
Has anyone experienced this and / or has a resolution?

I understand that you are not able to get adequate sound from your notebook computer's BEATS Audio, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To correct the sound on your system, I recommend following this document on No Sound from Speakers (Windows 7) or for (Windows 8). This should help improve the quality of the audio on your notebook.
To assist you further, I will need to know:
The Product and Model Number of your notebook computer.
The version of Windows you have installed on your computer.
If your computer has completed all of its important Windows Updates.
If you have updated your HP drivers using the HP Support Assistant.
If this is an on-going, or recent issue.
If the same lack of quality is present when headphones are plugged in.

IPhone and iPad cannot play back some shared videos.

I have a 3rd gen. iPad, an iPhone 4S, and a 17 inch MacBook Pro, all with the latest OS and software. I have library sharing turned on on the MacBook, and an extensive video library of TV shows purchased on iTunes. Some of the episodes, usually from the same season, will not play back on the iPad, and cannot be listed on the iPhone. All of the files are located in sub folders under the same "iTunes Library" folder. They all have the same .m4v file extension. I cannot see a pattern that might help me figure this out, so I am asking for help.

While using DTA-107, I cannot play DVB-S stream

we are facing a strange issue.
Previously, both DVB-S and DVBS2 were perfectly fine. I was able to stream both these streams.
But now, DVBS2 Streaming is fine and GREEN LED IS SHOWN.
But when I play DVB-S stream, I DONT SEE GREEN LIGHT and I am unable to LOCK to the frequency.
This may be known issue to you -can you please suggest why this is happening?
I am using DTA-107 QPSK Modulator / L-Band Upconverter for PCI Bus

According to this article Using iPhone on an airplane you should be able to listen to music with Airplay Mode enabled.
Make sure you have Music switched on in Settings > Store or your music won't download via Wi-Fi.

Cannot play Real Audio stream in my N82

i have this Real Audio link:

It plays fine on my desktop computer. But, when I use the URL in the web browser on my N82, Realplayer opens, tries to establish a connection and thats it... nothing....
I have correct settings, I connect via WLAN and have opened the UDP ports on my router, so no issues here. I would be grateful for any hint!

No solution found yet. I believe the radio station's stream is encoded in a real audio format the installed Realplayer does not understand. This also applies to MPEG4 AVC1 encoded video podcast streams that cannot be handled by the Realplayer used on Nokia devices. More and more podcasts use this codec.I hope, Nokia will adress these issues, the Realplayer on the N82 and maybe on other devices as well is dated 2007 and obviously can only handle very basic codecs. Nokia, do something about this! The only way out *may* be the N900 which *might* have much more powerful media players due to its Linux based OS.

Cannot play back files from iTunes located on External HD

I have backed up - copied - my iTunes library to my new WD My Book Studio Edition and now wnat to access all the files from that disc - i have change the destination in preferences and held the 'option' ket when opening iTunes - but when i select a tracj i get the message ...
"The Song xxxx could not be used because the orginal file could not be found. Would you like to locate it".
When i do locate it - it plays - but i have to repeat that operation for each track - any ideas please?

N900 Cannot play media - Audio Codec not supported

I'm trying to play a radio station on the N900 internet radio but I get the message that the media cannot be played, audio codec not supported. I was able to play the same station on my old N96 and other stations work on the N900.
Is there something I need to download to sort this out?

YouTube play back choppy and not in color

Just got the Droid Maxx as the 'free' 2 year upgrade. Only had it a few hours and all seems fine (I'm old and don't need much to make me smile) except YouTube video is choppy and pixels are all out of whack. I search the internet for solutions (I'm old and don't have the patience for this), but I'm not finding any.
Who has the magic wand that will fix my problem?

At the time of the post, I had no video playback issues with any other apps. The YouTube playback was having trouble in the first hour of powering on the phone before YouTube auto updated, and it had the same problem after it auto updated.
I couldn't figure out how to uninstall the entire YouTube app as the only option was to uninstall the update, which I did. I also cleared the YouTube cache and data then reinstalled the YouTube update. Now I'm a happy old guy, because the video plays as it should. I'm not sure if it was reinstalling the update or clearing the cache and data, or possibly some other inadvertent action I took, but it works as it should.

IPad cannot play "Back to the Mac" Apple Keynote Podcast ???

Are you kidding me??? Why isn't Apple publishing its own podcast in an .m4v format the iPad can play?
So much for the "integrated" ecosystem Jobs touted in the earnings call Monday...

What I did a few hours ago is deleted the file from the podcast in iTunes, then right-click on the Apple Keynotes podcast feed header and Update Podcas, right-click on it again afterwards and Show all available episodes, then finally download it again. I now have a file which is reported by iTunes as 1,004.4MB and by Finder as 1,053,109,240 bytes - different from the filesize on my previous download - and this file now DOES correctly play on my iPad (and iPhone4 and AppleTV).
My guess is either (1) Apple re-published the file to the podcast feed after some of us had downloaded it (and it got cached various places too) and/or (2) some problem with their content distribution network meant there were some "bad" copies of the file able to be downloaded (depending on which CDN server a user's download request happened to get satisfied by).
Anyway, deleting and re-downloading - and doing no other fiddling - worked fine for me.

My ipad had been telling me that there is not enough storage space on the icloud so i deleted some apps. but I tried turning on today and it seems to be frozen and that same message comes up. When i try to click to close or settings options it does not do anything it seems to be frozen. How do I unfreeze or unlock?

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

16x9 assests play back as 4x3 squeezed on normal TV, but not laptop

Hi I have a lot of experience with DVD Studio Pro, but for some reason I cannot get my 16x9 stuff to play back correctly on a DVD player. I have EVERYTHING set to 16x9. I have it set on the "track" and the "menu" and in preferences.
It plays fine on my laptop, but it squeezes on any other dvd player and plays back as 4x3, not letterboxed 16x9...
I never used to have this problem with the same workflow.
Help?

Just to double check, did you set them as 16:9 letterboxed (not pan&scan)?
Did you check that some DVD player in your laptop is not ignoring the DVD configuration?

Cannot Play Disc Folder Not Found

I created a project in DVD Studio Pro 3 and it seems to play in all computers and players with the exception my trusty iMac G3 400 mhz special edition. Everytime I insert the disc I get a message that says "Cannot play disc. Folder not Found." Most commercial DVDs and one disc that I created is DVD Studio Pro 4 play fine. Anyone know why this happens?

You'll find in the General in your Disc settings, in the Inspector Windows (if you click in any empty space of your Graphic View, you'll get you disc in the Inspector window).
In DVDSP Preferences, in Project settings, you can change the by default setting for new projects.
