Cannot play movies down loaded from i tunes . get message iTunes unavailable . tried unplugging unit also reset and no change what is wrong with apple tv unit?
Movies & TV shows I have from I-Tunes are currently not able to play on my Apple Tv unit.
I have unplugged numerous times ,updated ,reset modem,put back to factory settings,
logged out and back in numerous times .
all that ends up happening isI get the same message

I'm having the same issue on Apple TV 3. I can play the content on my computer, iphone or iPad but I can't on my Apple TV. I just bought Guardians of the Galaxy via my Apple TV and the purchase went through but when I try to play the content I get this error. However I tried renting a movie and guess what? I can play rentals just fine. This is only effecting Apple TV. Not just movies though, I can't play my iTunes music either. This is BS it's been going on for days now. Tried resetting the appletv to factory defaults and reconfiguring it and nothing.
I Want acknowledgement from apple that there is an issue and they are working to resolve It.
it's a shame, since Steve Jobs passed I've noticed a decline in the quality of work that Apple does. Not a fan of the Post-Steve Jobs UI's that seem to be only half thought-through either. Why do I enter a URL in what appears to be a raised button in Safari on Yosemite?
Apple better tighten their **** back up or soon the quality will be more on par with what you would expect from Windows or a PC.

When I try to print a pic from iPad to HP air printer, it comes out smeared and wet. What am I doing wrong?
I can't swear to it, but it's probably a printer issue and I don't think it has anything to do with the iPad. Have you tried printing right from your computer?

You have to convert it first to use as ringtone. Here the steps using computer iTunes:
1. Select a title (.mp3 or .m4a) in your iTunes Library
2. Do File > Get Info on selected title (Windows do Edit > Get Info)
3. In the dialog choose Options tab
4. Set Start Time and End Time (no more than 35 secs otherwise won't work)
5. Close dialog.
6. Now control click the title (right click) and choose Create AAC Version
7. When it is done, drag the newly create title to the desktop.
8. Delete the newly create title in iTunes.
9. Rename the title on your desktop from ringtone.m4a to ringtone.m4r
10. Drag and drop it into iTunes
Now you have a ringtone.
Make sure it is selected in iTunes for syncing -
I have a Dell Desktop Optiplex 380 with Windows 7 operating system. regarding use of I-Tunes library and making playlists from "My Music"I went to My Music clicked on the album tile to drag to the new playlist and all of the albums are empty. Like the tracks are labeled but not there There is a note to go to the store and buy each track for 0.99. These Albums have been in the system for several years. where are they, and what happens to them. Do I need to import again. which could be a pain

HT1657 My rented movie keeps stopping and not working, what's wrong with it?
I've just downloaded a rental movie to my iPad. The movie has stopped about 40 times in 3 mins. I move the cursor back slightly to rewind the movie and it plays again for a 10 seconds then stops... I have enough storage, any suggestions?
First thing I would try would be to remove the battery from your MacBook, connect the computer to it's power adapter and start up, then see if the keyboard and trackpad work normally. Some older batteries have been known to expand and interfere with keyboard and trackpad. If this works, replace the battery.

Itunes Movie down loads appear to be getting slower and slower in my area mates are having the same problem with their apple tv s we all use to be able to wath a rented movie straght away but now it take up to 6hrs to be able to watch a HD movie
thI'm in NZ and have a 100Mbps link, tested on Speedtest, and downloads from Apple - and ONLY Apple - take forever (like 2Hr or more before a movie will even play). I've tried setting the DNS to my ISP's DNS manually. There is no local interference, WiFi is working well otherwise.
It isn't local to my network, and seeing as access to the internet otherwise isn't demonstrating this sort of sluggish behaviour, I'd say it isn't the ISPs problem either.And what do you know, lots of other people are reporting problems with access to Apple's services being glacial and getting slower over time.
It is patently clear where the problem is, and it is at Apple's end of things. They clearly have insufficient infrastructure to support downloads at a reasonable speed. -
Unable to play some movies from Netflix on my iPad. When I click on a movie an error message comes up "Cannot play movie. Please try again later." I contacted Netflix but have not been able the help so I am wondering if it's my iPad. I didn't have a problem before but I have recently upgraded to iOS 7.1. I have an iPad 2 16GB with iOS 7.0.3 and Netflix version 5.0.2. I cannot watch netflix on an External LCD monitor that I have through VGA out. I use bluetooth speakers, so the AirPlay is going to that for Audio. Before this update, this combo worked without an issue.
So as of Friday Nov. 8/2013, I contacted Netflix support, and they said they fixed the problem on their end, and the fix is on the Apple side of things, and to contact Apple support.
So, I contacted Apple support, and the first person I spoke to said I would have to agree to pay a $35 fee for 30 days of support to this problem since my unit is out of warranty. I said this isn't a hardware issue, it's a software issue, and I'm not willing to pay to fix a problem you created. So I got a Senior Level advisor on the line, and she was helpful, and she's looking into the issue for me and said she'll contact me sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday (Nov. 12 or 13) to let me know of the issue.
Here's the thing: this is a combination of Netflix and iOS not working correctly with any of the Apple Authorized Dongles. This is truly a code error that some hot shot programmer had major oversight on, and their management didn't catch it either. There was no reason for Netflix to rush to get this Netflix update going until Apple sorted out the bugs in iOS 7.
Anyway, if I hear anything from Donna (the advisor), I'll post it and let you guys know. In the mean time, good luck! -

I just want to know what Apple computer to get to play Civilization V down loaded from the App store.
The game Civ5 processes a turn in single core mode. It says “please wait” while it processes a turn. If the intel i7 CPU is “fourth generation” it is twice as fast for civ5 turn processing. It does not matter if you have more memory or a better graphics chip. So, I can get a smaller cheeper Apple computer as long as it is fourth generation. I tested three new iMacs, two new MacPros and two mac minis.

I have looked at that darned “please wait” message for years. Now it can be 60 seconds on a new MacPro6,1 or late 2012 Mac mini and 30 seconds on a new iMac. Even the 21.5 iMac 3.1 GHz has 3.9 GHz turbo boost for single core and it is supposed to be fourth generation.
Some of that does not seem to true for the new 21.5 inch iMac I just tested (Fusion drive). Mac Mini 54 seconds 21.5 iMac 49 seconds.

Be sure to get one that is officially unlocked or you would not be able to use it with your cell carrier. Be sure that your carrier supports use of the iPhone before you buy. Also note that the warranty of the iPhone is only valid in the country of purchase.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item. -

There is no resolution needed, as this is not a problem.
I am saying not the device, but the Apple ID is what needs to be the same, unless the movie is rented.
If the movie is rented, it can only reside on one device at a time. But from your error message above, I don't think that is your situation.
Your error message suggests a different Apple ID purchased the movie. If you want to see it, you must use your computer's iTunes, go to Store > Authorize This Account in the iTunes menu on your computer, and have that purchaser sign in with their Apple ID and password, then sync your iPad to that computer.
