Cannot play Pandora or YouTube using Safari

Since Tuesday I haven't been able to play Pandora or YouTube on my MacBook Pro, and use Safari for web browser. I'm running OS X 10.7.5. Today I updated my Flash Player and Pandora played for about 10 minutes, then nothing again. I reset Safari and even repaired disk permissions. Help!

1. System Preferences > Other/ Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Follow the prompts.
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.
    Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.

Did anyone manage to solve this problem? The same issue on my side. I cannot play videos, doesn't matter if it is youtube application from google, third party application, chrome or safari. It always shows: this video is currently unavailable.
I tried:
- Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings
- Holding Sleep and Home button for 10 seconds to reset
with no success.

I can understand this with videos you are streaming, i.e. maybe you have a slow data connection.
Videos on your phone should not do this. Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Watching youtube using safari and chrome

How can i watch youtube video using safari and chrome browsers?
Now both browsers CANNOT PLAY ANY VIDEO from youtube. I have tried both mobile and desktop options of youtube.
I am already getting nervous with new ipad...

I tried jasmine and several other players for youtube,
but the problem still remains, they all do not work,
they all show the same message when i try to play any youtube video,
"this video is currently unavailable".
it seems as they use safari to play youtube, but safari itself cannot do that

Are you accessing the mobile version : http://m.youtube.com ? Google are also supposed to be doing an iPad-version of their app (they have an iPhone-optimised version in the store)

No Video will play on any site using Safari, but I do get the audio

This is a problem I've had for some time now. I've just switched over to FireFox when there was a video I wanted to watch instead of taking the time to fix it.
Anyway, when trying to watch a video
http://www.apple.com/macosx/guidedtour/small.html for example.
I get no video at all, but I can hear the audio perfectly. Not sure what is going on here.
I just upgraded to Leopard and was hoping this would resolve itself, but not such luck. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

That Guided Tour of Leopard works fine for me. Perhaps you need to tweak a few settings:
These are the downloads and the settings you need in order to view/hear pretty much everything that the net can throw at you: The setup described below has proved repeatedly successful on both PPC and Intel macs, but nothing in life carries a guarantee!
It is known to work in the great majority of cases with Safari 3.0.4, QT 7.3 and OS 10.4.11.
Assuming you already run Tiger versions OS 10.4.9 or above (this has not yet been verified with Leopard) and have Quicktime 7.2 or above, and are using Safari 2 or 3, download and install (or re-install even if you already had them) the latest versions, suitable for your flavor of Mac, of:

In Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).
In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them).
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them).
Lastly open Audio Midi Setup (which you will find in the Utilities Folder of your Applications Folder) and click on Audio Devices. Make sure that both Audio Input and Audio Output, under Format, are set to 44100 Hz.
Important: Now repair permissions and restart.
The world should now be your oyster!
You should also consider having the free VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org/ in your armory, as this plays almost anything that DVD Player might not.

I tried to find latest version from the Adobe website. But I can't find any for my phone. Anybody can help me out? Thank you. Regards...

oh...yea i wnt to nokia abt tht...wth th argument tht my good old n95 8gb can play th desktop version...they tried all the other n8s whch where available and none of them worked...they said nokia hq stuffd up...

Safari cannot play videos from youtube or other websites

I recently tried to go online to view a video for my class. However, when I clicked on the link, it just was a blank screen. When I tried to go to Youtube and watch videos, I got a blank black screen where the video should be. Can you help me please? Thanks.

Uninstall then reinstall the most recent version of Flash which you need for YouTube.
Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
Now repair disk permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Cannot play videos on youtube.

I have a mac desktop running Yosemite and i use Firefox as a browser. Just recently i have not been able to play any of the video's i get up on the YouTube site.
      I have updated my Flash player , ive enabled Javascript and ive also checked to make sure my browser was up to date.
      I have even checked my DNS number ( although i havent got a clue what its meant to be anyway).
        But i am no nearer a solution ,can anyone help please???

It doesnt play on Safari as i did try that. It just takes a long time to try and load , but then a message comes up " error occured , try again later".

I cannot play videos on youtube

I can't seem to watch videos on youtube. When I try, I'll get the little advertisement thing, but once that's over and it's supposed to go to the actual video, all i get is a black screen. When I right click on it I get 'Movie not loaded...' but it's greyed out. Can anyone help me? I'm using Internet Explorer 8 on a Windows XP 32-bit. Also I receive no error messages, it just won't play.

I have installed iOS 6 on phone and had to download YouTube again. Since this I can only listen to YouTube video on appletv or watch it if I mirror the iPhone with apple tv. I used to be able to watch on full tv screen on ios 5
Can I resolve this without going back to ios5 ?

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

After beta 6 update, cannot play html5 video youtube

This is because ICS uses Google Chrome as a browser and Google Chrome does NOT support Flash. You can install a third party app like Dolphin and or Skyfire as well as downloading Flash. After you install these you will be able ot play Flash Videos.
