Cannot post new thread in Calendar forum

I have a question about Oracle Calendar, and I'm trying to post my question in the Calendar forum. But when I click the "Post New Thread" link, I get an error page that says "Error: you do not have permission to view the requested forum or category."
What am I doing wrong?
I am signed in as a registered user, not a guest. I originally created this account a few years ago but have not used it in a long time until today.

How did you get to the forum? Are you trying to post to an archived forum? You may need to use a different forum, perhaps someone can tell which forum to ask such a question, or you can get a clue by searching here (as opposed to google searching). This is a huge site, sometimes it takes a bit of work to find the right place. For me, the google search generally works better, but that may not apply to what you are searching for.

The error is a 501 / 505 saying :
POST to /post!post.jspa not supported.

In my case, the VM Server was set to use DHCP. Once I reconfigured the interface to use a static address, I was able to successfully create the Server Pool.
Documentation should be reflected to clarify this.

I assume that you you tried tapping and holding down on the document and the keyboard would not pop up and the insertion point did not appear.
If you want to start with a clean slate, tap the Documents button in the upper left corner. When in thumbnail view you can tap the edit button in the upper right - find that blank document that you just closed - tap on it and then tap the trash can in the upper left to delete it.
To start with a new document - tap the + button in the upper left corner and tap Create New Document.

Message before posting new thread

How about displaying a message before posting new threads in abap devlopment forums which tells the members to use search button before posting new threads.
I think this may improve the quality of forums to an extent.
Plz give ur comment on this.

I think most people who answer simple questions do so because they are genuinely trying to help and are perhaps not familiar with the type of user IDs who ask such questions.
But they should heed the warnings (in most cases they realize this themselves before a warning is required). I also know a numer of people who stop visiting SDN when they realize this, and that is a big pity.
Users who carry on and on and on without heeding the warnings are deleted as well. This has happened already and there are two more in the pipeline. But Guestification is a last resort and not a perfect one either. It is only really effective when points are the reason for the misuse.
I am sure that without a points system in its current form we would have less noise, but we would only eliminate the childish points gamers.
What I think we need to work on is further improving the reputation of the SDN forums for quality content.
Eg. when someone posts something which is incorrect or questionable, then question it (politely as possible / appropriate).
That way people who answer will realize that their accounts have a track record for questionable quality, and will think twice before posting some bla-bla-bla or not reading the question carefully => if the question is "What is reports and tables" then when thinking twice, they wont answer at all....

Can't post new thread in mobile section

Error posting new messages in Discussion Forum Portlet.

I've installed the Discussion Forum Portlet from the Integration Tools version 9.0.4.0. I'm trying to post a message but I'm getting the following error:
'Unable to perform the operation: Row was not found using request parameter: 000100000004313530350000003E000000F95C4B5E59.' I've deleted the posting and reposted but the same error keeps coming up.
Any ideas?

User cannot post an item in Calendar (public folders)

I have a user who cannot make an item in the calendar on public folder.
Inherrited permissions are enabled for this user in Active Directory. Other users with the same rights are permitted to make an appointment.
The rights on the calendar are owner for this user. I have also test it with OWA, and the error is this:

Please check whether other users who have Owner permission to this public folder can create an item in this Calendar. If only this user encounters the issue, please double check whether the problematic user’s permission is Owner. Then make sure that there
are no related rules configured to this public calendar.
If all configurations are proper, please try to remove the permission then re-add it to check whether the issue persists.
If the issue continues, please collect more error messages or event logs for further analysis.

I cannot post in threads when logged into fanforum?

I've never had this problem before, it only started occuring yesterday. When I log into Fanforum and click on a thread, it's shown as closed, but I know it hasn't really been closed, because it hasn't reached 20 pages yet?
Can anyone give me a solution please?

Where is the "Add New Thread" link?

I want to add a new thread to the SAP Auto ID Infrastructure forum. However, there is no "Post New Thread" link to select. I am logged in. The instructions say all you need to do is log in and start posting. How do I find the Post new thread link?

Cannot reply to forum post without being registered; but can't register without creating a new thread

I wished to reply to a forum post with new information that will be of relevance to anyone searching for a solution to a particular problem. I did not have a support account with Mozilla. I found that the site would not allow a reply from an unregistered person. Fair enough, but it gives you no way to create an account then reply to the post. The only way you can create an account is by creating a new thread - which is what I am doing now! Crazy or what? It then took about 10 minutes thrashing about on the site to find out how to create an account. Frustrating or what? Thank goodness Firefox itself is built to much higher standards.

Suggested fix for an admin to apply:
Replace the text that appears at the bottom of a thread while signed out - "You must log in to your account to reply to posts. Please start a new question, if you do not have an account yet."
...with one that reads "You must log in to your account to reply to posts. Please [https://support.mozilla.org/get-involved sign up to contribute], or start a new question, if you do not have an account yet."
This little seeming catch-22 gave me a chuckle, but I'm glad this thread was already here so that I didn't have to waste space. Someone needs to fix this soon though, lest it put more people off contributing.

I can't find the rich text button when I post a new thread in the sap forum

I had a EP system witch sp15,and I deploy a sap new forums,but recently I found when I post a new thread,I can't find the" rich text" button and the "plain text"button and the "preview"button,the bold,italics,underline function is invalidate,and I find the IE page has notice "the erroe on page" when my error occured.
eg:when I want to post a new thread,the post page of IE give me a notice "the error on page",I click the notice,find it said:"error:MultiSelector not defined" or "error:MCTabs not defined".
Who can help me?

I know this is an old thread but wanted to post the resolution that I found when I had this problem.
Basically the problem is because the Quicklink is not set properly.
I had to make sure that the Page Quicklink property was set to 'forums'.
I also had to make sure that the Email Settings in the Admin Console had the following property:
'URL for your installation:' had to be set to http://myportalserver.50800/forums.
Hope that helps someone who has the issue sometime.

Very Urgent: Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 6 : Script stuck

I am running one script, it is stuck with log file showing:

All online logs needed archiving
Current log# 7 seq# 5 mem# 0: /u13/sjmarte/oradata/redo7a.log
I have checked the database: it is in archivelog mode
Checked the archvie dest: we have space in TB's
And almost 24GB's occupied by log files each of 6GB's.
